Saw names I have not thought of in years. was transferred to the 198th from the 11th at Duc Pho.,did gate duty,patrol and even worked at the POW cage.

The names of all the original members of the 198th. MP's.

I was probably the 1st. of the MP's to be assigned to the 198th. at Ft. Hood. Most are not listed at this site. I was at riverboat north and riverboat south, convoy duty, pow, and anything else they could think of. I will always be loyal to the 198 Inf. Bde. MP's.

MY BUDDIES AND ME WERE TRANSFERRED FROM THE 11TH LIB TO RIVER NORTH 5-13-68. THAT MORNING, WE LOST 3 MPS TO A 500 LB BOMB ON HIGHWAY 1 ESCORTING A CONVOY. NOT A GOOD DAY!!!!! SOME THINGS YOU COULD NOT FORGET IF YOU WANTED TOO. I WENT HOME 12-5-68.

Welcome Home to all the Nam vets - we should have heard it when we got home, but there seemed to be a little confusion in the general population. Just remember, we were the 1st group of "true" combat MPs of our generation and beyond. There were no fronts in the "Nam".
