This is a brilliant website! extremely informative. However the only issue I had was the blue background made reading a little bit difficult.

Prevention is the Key!

My Mother who died of the effect of MRSA should have been prevented if the Hospital she was in had been sterilized. Sterilization in this country needs to change as a prevention and the new portable, safe, cost efficient device called "AsepticSure (TM)" by Medizone International is going to be that future. I have never been so excited to read about this technology and it's effect on diseases.

The initial testing of "AsepticSure" a device that uses Ozone to Sterilize Surfaces and rooms have proven to eliminate 100% of MRSA with log 6 and 7 results. The final Beta Testing in a hospital setting is soon to be announced and the anticipated results should set the standard for sterilization around the world. Soon you will be able to ask if AsepticSure is cleaning your hospital.

I can't bring my mom back but we sure can demand that what was once said to be "As clean as a hospital" is again the standard for all clinics hospitals and public spaces.

Hello,
Thank you so much for setting up this Website.
I am still trying to get answers from the Trust about what happened to my father whilst under their 'care'. My father did acquire an infection (eyelids massively swollen for days) before I walked in to find a steroid 'drip' being administered (with no prior consultation with either my father or myself) The huge swollen eyelids were then purple folds of skin under the eyes, and I believe that my father then had a TIA (mini stroke) but my father still has on record ESR 106 and 111 which went untreated. So the physical signs of the infection was 'removed', but within the physical body my father still had this infection, also cranial nerve involvement, etc. I am still trying to get answers to what happened to my father from the Trust.

I applaud the statement of Graham Tanner, of the National Concern for Healthcare Infections patient group, in which he said he believed the figures were incomplete. "We feel these figures are an underestimation by at least a third, with the actual number of people who die as a result of healthcare-associated infections masked by the fact that doctors do not rigorously apply guidelines to the completion of the medical certification of cause of death." My mother died from C dif in July 2007, contracted in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee only 10 days after she was admitted for sodium deficiency in December 2006. Her death certificate makes no reference to C dif as the cause of death and hence she will not be a C dif statistic.
