Picked up your 10/01/2006 Sunday morning net from Medway, MA, over 230 miles away, on the 146.82 repeater. Very clear around 9:45 a.m. but conditions didn't last. Using a Kenwood TM-D700 with Cushcraft A270-6S dual band beam. Just wanted to say "hi." I have family in Maine, so sometime I'll head north for a visit. 73, Bob K5TEC |

I am very grateful for this repeater system when I travel south of Fort Kent(rarely). When I first got my license I talked every day on the Potato Net and mourned the loss of the Mars Hill repeater. I hope very much that someday it will come back. Thanks to all who keep the system that is going. Just a note of interest. Sent a vanity call apllication to FCC on OCt. 15. They still havenot received it because of anthrax precautions! Sure wish I been able to apply on line! |
