Ieri 26 gennaio 2008 al "PINK CAT" di Firenze si e' inaugurato sperimentalmente lo spettacolo ideata e diretto da Alessandro Maugeri "CIAO JULA".Estro,dandysmo,gusto per la trasgressione e non solo musicale,ironia e misurato sberleffo ma anche finezza d'interpretazione e gusto di rievocazione,la magica miscela di Alessandro Maugeri che insieme ad un sestetto di veri maestri dello swing ha dato corpo ad una serata d'arte e non solo musicale.Ogni brano e'stato commentato e citato con versi e citazioni.Perle della scaletta,che contava circa 18 brani,"Lui di Lei","Nostalgico slow","Buonasera","Amore baciami" e tanti altri.A sorpresa sul palco,tra luci colorate e note sincopate una drag queen che attraverso un gioco di mimo e ombre cinesi ha reso perfettamente l'atmosfera decadente che Maugeri voleva imporre.Echi di teatro tedesco e Fassbinder.Seguiranno altre tappe in tutta Italia per un progetto tributo a Jula De Palma .Seguiamo l'eclettico Alessandro Maugeri.

The name "Azziza" was totally foriegn to me but I would remeber it from dreams and wondered who it was, or if it was anything at all. I am curious and want to know more for my childrens sake and myself. How can you choose a way of life or a religion if you do not seek knowledge of self and make a proper well informed decision. How do you cancel your past and move to a future. What caused you to be and why are many of the answers found in this journey of life. My daughters know not why they have certain ways that make them leaders among their peers. As a African studies major/student, in all my studies about Africa and her cosmologies and African philosophy that I have internalized. It is quite clear that we here the diaspora cannot return back to our ancient authentic selves or move spirit-ward without embracing or re-claiming once again some aspect of African Spirit Science-is what I call Voodoo. And it is most definately a journey- trying to return back infact very painful in many aspects, and going through the dis-robing the westernism. I never could imagine that the road/path to return back to the spiritual womb form whence I emerged from would be so difficult and painful.
