As a way of saying thank you to some of my employees every other month I hold a little get together.. You can do this pretty inexpensively. I suggest a Tapas style dinner (VERY cheap.. think it was $120 for 30-40 people) Also, how about reserving an area such as Dave and Busters and doing buffet style. (cash bar)
It's a friendly type of atmposphere where people can mingle better as well.

I shop the dollar spot at TArget. It is 50% off now and supposed to go 75% off on thursday. If you can get things for 25 cents that is good and some packages can even be split up. I shop all year at these prices for ahead.
