While chatting with a group of volunteers one morning and waiting for the elevator to come to the ground floor so we could help transport people to the dining room, another staff person rounded the corner and asked what "cenvention" we were atending. In attempt to be humorous and witty, I replied, "the compasion in action" convention for St. Camillus volunteers. Ever since then "Compassion in Action" has been our slogan used on all our outgoing correspondence and promotional materials.
