Re: Re: Recognition/Entertainment Banquet

I also would like to hear details about the scavenger hunt. We have used high school jazz ensembles and this year we had a guitar combo from a high school.

Re: Recognition/Entertainment Banquet

Hi Mary,

I too would be so grateful for information on your story and treasure hunt. Thank you for sharing.

Re: Recognition/Entertainment Banquet

Although I am a year late in reading these forums, some of my ideas might be interesting (I, too, thought the treasure chest idea was priceless!)
--You Are the Sunshine of Our Lives (ask a tv weatherman to speak)
--Butterflies (I had more on this but can't find it) - asked someone from the Master Gardeners Program to talk about butterfly gardens
--Celebrating the Magic of Volunteering - paid a magician to come and entertain
--Glad to See Your Smiling Face at ... - used the "smile face" theme that was so popular when I was a kid and is now back. We did "Volunteer Bingo" for the entertainment. The bingo cards I printed from a teacher's site on the internet.

Hope these ideas helped!

We are preparing for our 'entertainment' portion of our annual banqet and have hit a brick wall. We would like to do something that allows everyone to be involved. We expect 400 for our banquet dinner. Last year we used a theme of 'Volunteers hold the keys to many treasures.' In the middle of the table was a treasure chest with items inside...and then we took a 'trip' and had a scavenger hunt. The volunteers would need to look into the chest for their 'survival kit' while the narator read the story. It was great...too great! This year we have no clue as to what to do for our entertainment. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks so much!

Re: Recognition/Entertainment Banquet

I really would like more info on the "volunteers hold the key to many teasures" theme banquet. This sounds like it would be great for the teens that volunteer at the hospital. Thanks I can't wait to hear.

Re: Recognition/Entertainment Banquet

looks like many of us love your idea on the scavenger hunt, could you give me more details? Thank you

Re: Recognition/Entertainment Banquet

I love your idea for the treasure chest and scavenger hunt. This would be ideal for my Girl Scout Leader/Daughter banquet. One year later and I find this idea - I hope I can still get some information from you to help make our event a success.

Thanks!

Nancy
