Re: jr. volunteer prizes

For our hospital teens (We usually get about 100) - we have them put their name in a fish bowl everyday they come to volunteer,so the more times you volunteer the better your chance to win a prize. At the end of summer we have a party. We supply lunch (pizza, subs, we change it up every so often) then I find a silly activity one year it was handwriting analayse, one year it was changing you name according to captain underpants. We give a little gift pencil and pad with a note. Then onto the drawing for the other prizes. We usually get one bigger gift (DVD player) and then a bunch of smaller gifts tickets to the fair, gift certificates, backpacks, walkmen, photo frames, lava lamps, etc. We pick a prize and draw a name. They are only aloud one prize so if their name is drawn again they get to chose the gift they have or exchange it for the present one. This works great and the kids seem to have a great time.
