Re: Lynsay VI, was outstanding!!!

Crumb!
I just got back from the bookstore and could not decide which book to buy!
The library is out of the last 3 Argeneau series and I am #4 in reserve for VI. I should have bought that one, but alas, I purchased Vampires are Forever instead. I want to read them in order (mostly) but loved the idea of Thomas having his own book, so I'll wait patiently for AV(I'm #11, geesh people, read faster, )
Now I cannot wait to read VI!
I guess my discount at the bookstore will come in handy next week when I am having bloody withdrawls!

Re: Lynsay VI, was outstanding!!!

I never borrow things, I buy everything, I collect things its why I have no room in my cupboards and have 5 massive piles of books, games and DVD's on the floor in my room

Re: Lynsay VI, was outstanding!!!

Hi Tracy, and welcome...I was out all day, so this is the first chance I've had to welcome you to all our fun!

Actually, getting VAF first was a good idea...since you will likely get VI next. Thomas' and Marguerite's stories take place basically at the same time in Europe, while TAV...Victor's story takes place just before and doesn't have as much of a direct impact on the last two. Not much of the important stuff is mentioned of his story in the last two books, so reading his last won't mess it up for you.

I actually started the series with Single White Vampire...they only had it and Tall, Dark and Hungry on the shelf and another reader told me which one to read first. Then I began hunting the others, and just as I finished TD&H and LB, Avon published A Quick Bite. So, I didn't read the entire series in order...and it still worked out. I have purchased them all now, because I want to have the books for my keepers collection. Like you, I borrow some from the library, and I buy the authors books that I want to keep. I can't afford all of the books I would like to have, and buy more than I can afford anyway.

Lynsay is my #1 favorite author now...if she writes it, I buy it as soon as possible. I am pleasantly surprised that our library is getting her books now, especially the Argeneau series. But, the demand is high for them, so there is quite a waiting list. Until recently, our library only had a couple of Lynsay's historicals and a few anthologies. Now, they have most of her books.

Anyway, welcome to the forum...hopefully, whoever has VI next will read fast

Re: Lynsay VI, was outstanding!!!

Well i'm going into the city on Tuesday and get my books If they are STILL not in i'm going bookstore hunting i'm not leaving until I get all 3 of my books

Re: Lynsay VI, was outstanding!!!

YEAH!! I finished in two days!
I couldn
t wait to go to bed everynight as that is my 'designated' reading time. Hubby works hard all day and wants to sleep early, so he snores whilst I read 'til my hearts content!

I really do have to re-read this book (I have another week from the library, should Ibe that mean to the next person waiting in line??)

I absoulutely loved this one. It is definately my favorite behind SWV and TD&H.

I can't possibly go over all the points I loved about it, the whole book was just fabulous.

Faves:
Julius grabbing Tiony out of bed.
Christian giving dad hints on how to woo M.
The train ride...*sigh*
J walking out naked in the street to get M
J catching M at the train station 'with him grabbing your ass" Too funny! I actually laughed out loud and had to explain to my nosy 14 yr old "what's so dern funny?"
M & C bonding time.

WOWS:
The backstory for JC really brings a whole new look into his demeanor.
Vita? Geesh, get over it already!
Lucian's 'secret' how utterly sad.
'Playmate?' woo-hoo!

okay, i could really go on and on and on, but i have to git today!

Re: Lynsay VI, was outstanding!!!

I think unless they were a prude most women would be more 'surprised' rather then shocked

Re: Lynsay VI, was outstanding!!!

Omg.. hehe that reminds me of the news article I read two or three weeks ago

'Naked NZ Cop Stops Car Thief'

In the middle of the night his wife rolled over and woke him up to sounds in their carport, he raced out of the house naked and the theif was rolling the car down the drive getting it started, he was so shocked he ran off at the sight of the naked man chasing him! And he didn't look where he was going as he ran into his wife who was more.. 'suitably' dressed as it was discribed. He escaped her clutches and hid in the bushes until the patrol car came and arrested him.

It was reported in NZ's police magazine
