Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Cindy, I have the first seven seasons. Been waiting to get over to Best Buy so I can get number eight, because I've been missing it at Wal-Mart. We have watched them so many times, I just about have them memorized!(Except for my dh, who thinks "Charmed" is just an updated version of "Charlie's Angels" only with sisters who are witches )

You know, Gena & I already manage to get in trouble together! Are we going to have to watch you, too?

wren, who thinks Charmed is a fun show about sisters more than witches! Maybe because I come from a family of three sisters

P.S. When I go into a rant and wave my hands around (gesturing to get my point across) my sons call me "Piper." The first time they said "Mom, you sound just like Piper." I kind of got tickled, and lost whatever soapbox I was on at the time. Now it's become kind of a joke to them..."You're speaking in your Piper voice, Mom!"

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Wren...
Who? Me? SmileyCentral.comIn another group I took the quiz to see which sister you are. 99% Piper. Then Pheobe, Prue, then Paige.

Actually my step daughter just accused me and Dusty of getting into trouble and acting just like teenagers. I e-mailed her and said "We do not get arrested not talk back" Meaning we do not act like her.

Cindy who is a perfect angle, SmileyCentral.com Can't you see the horns and tail holding up my halo??? SmileyCentral.comSmileyCentral.com

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Cindy, do you have a link to that Charmed quiz? I think it would be fun for me & my sisters to do.

Dearie, I see that beautiful halo shining just above those little horns!

Something tells me that Gena, you, and I are going to be a "trouble-prone trio." Like I told Gena, it's a good thing we don't live right next door to each other. We would get nothing done except reading Argeneau books, and trouble would be sure to find us.

wren, with my halo on crooked!

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Wren

It is on its way.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

wren you forgot one thing....
you have to add all night marathons of "Charmed", while we wait for the next book!!

Hey, welcom to the group now we have our own power of three. Hey do you think they will make a show about us, 3 friends who go on a hunt to find the Argenaeu family and help to build the new body of Enforcers!!!

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Gena, sometimes your mind-reading spooks me LOL

I do have "all-night marathons" of Charmed, and since my sister has been here, she has been watching it with me. She has not seen very many of the shows, because she worked nights back when it was on.

The Power of Three...think Lynsay can work us in somewhere!

wren

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Lynsay, what do you say??

we could be this random trio that shows up in a town somewhere and helps out!!! I wouldn't mind it,especially if it was Victor, when he meets Vincent!

ooohhh!! WREN< we could be Vincent and jackie's housekeepers!!!hint, hint, hint!!

g. who totally thinks, as much as it would be fun, just can't see that happening!!

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Gena "I don't do windows" hahaha Unless it is Microsoft SmileyCentral.com

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Cindy, I was Piper, then Paige, Phoebe, Prue in that order.

But I want the power to orb...so maybe I can be Paige, even if I am one bossy chick! You or Gena can be Piper or Phoebe. (Prue already died!)

Thanks for sending me the link to the quiz. Gena may want to do it.

We would be great at fighting rogues for the council!

P3 wren

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Adding that I don't do Housework and I seldom cook (my poor dh)...and I barely know how to do Windows on the computer. But we could still work for Vincent & Jackie...maybe they need supernatural P.I.s

wren

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Wern I am more in temperament to Piper than the other 2.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

I can see it now. The birth of a whole new series featuring...

Lynsay's Angels.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

wren, cindy..
I so wanted the power to blow things up!!
but I have to admit when I was younger I was a lot like phoebe!

ok, so...they are immortals..no cooking needed!! but they might need nanny's ( i am good with kids)

cindy...you can be an assistent to jackie,

and wren, you can be assistent to Vincent,

just covers of course......when we aren't saving the immorta; world and keeping their secrets hidden w/ the enforcers!!!

G.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Mr. Spice, that's the spirit!

Sign the trouble-prone trio (SP3=Sands Power of Three ) up for the next series!

Gena, Cindy, are you in?
Gena, with premonitions, you'll always be able to find Victor...and I can orb you right to him! Maybe we could just be an Argeneau spin-off, like immortals who have evolved a few "extra" powers, kwim? As the sisters would say, "I like it!"

Hmmm...Lynsay's Angels would work for aother great fan club name...oh, that's the other thread. Plus, there may be others that want to be in on this.

Straighten up those halos, girls!
As angelic enforcers, we have to work for the greater good!!!

*Umm, no housework included.

wren

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

WREN,
I like, "angelic enforcers"......since P3 is sort of taken, what do you think Mr. Spice: Lynsay's Angelic Enforcers!!

Hey, I think I am going to like the power of premonition after all....

G. who is still laughing out loud, about Orbing to Victor. HHHHHMMMMM.... I wonder if immortals ever had a prolem with stalkers before me??

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Gena, you crack me up!

"Angelic Enforcers" it is!!!

Does that work for you, Cindy?

Gena, if you want to be the - with the powers to orb and call items to you and be the "guardian angelic enforcer" (whitelighter)of the Argeneaus World, then we can trade. After all, premonitions and levitation are pretty good powers, I do take martial arts (LOL, when I make it to class) and today I had my hair cut & realize it looks a lot like Phoebe's in the first couple of seasons...sort of a short-bob style, only dark brown like she wore it in later shows. I'd trade for you, my friend, even though orbing would be really cool. You just have to orb me to Bastien or Vincent as needed...and Thomas, and...all the other great guys Lynsay dreams up. (Only IRL, I must be with dear hubby...He is my , you know! No half demons for me, even if Julian McMahan is yummy, he plays such bad boys! E.G. is kind of like a mixture of Bastien & Vincent with a bit of Thomas thrown in...I'm a lucky little wren!)

Btw, I just loooove my new hair...and my patient, steady like Bastien dh who has that upbeat part of Vincent and a bit of Thomas...because Heather and I came home with new color & styles (well, my color was so I remain my real color , I'm not ready to play the part of Grams, no matter how powerful she was!) & my 14yos just had his normal haircut which is traditional in style, but E.G. was interested to know why our 12yos had spiked highlighted hair on top (It looks Fabulous!and his Dad did like it He has light sandy-brown hair so we added blond highlights just through the spikes) Only Terri did not have anything done today, because she is letting her hair grow to a longer style. I'm sure that my fantastic hairstylist was happy today with us...and we are all so beautiful, darling! (I really should be more modest, but in real life, I'm just not! I was somewhat shy in childhood, but that went away a long time ago. I'm getting older, & when I want to be, I'm wiser, so why bother to change now? Poor E.G., I really am difficult to live with...I wonder if I'm a grumpy old vampire? If so, "I like it!")

Though a little grumpy because he wasn't feeling well because he caught my bad cold, hubby did like my new cut, just cautioned about the bank account & credit cards without even fussing...he says I know how much there is and what we have to pay... wren, who better be a very good little at home for a very long time, because when the bill comes in, he may want to vanquish me...or even worse banish me from my 'puter...but this is the first time I ever let a son change his hair colour(I really like how the British spell things)... and although my sons have wanted to have green or blue in the past, I have resisted so far & it hasn't been futile, but thankfully they aren't goth-wannabes No offense to those who like goth...just not my preference.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

WREN< I do not envy you. I know my time is comming, but thankfully my sons are only 7 and 9. To them coloring is for girls! Still to young for the color. So far all they have asked for is spiky and sometimes a mohawk! ( lucky for me, they have to keep their hair really short, its part of the school uniform)So we play on weekends but its not permanent.

THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU for the trade!! but that mean I have to be at your beck and call?(oh well, I am totally ok with that!it only takes a second to orb.)but between you (wanting to see every Argenaeu on the planet) and Cindy, who.....

Hey CINDY aka(Piper)...who is it I will have to take you to see anyways??? (please don't say Victor, Please don't say Victor...I would really hate to vanquish you! )

oh well, At least I wont get bored!

G. --who thinks she likes Victor so much because he reminds her of her own husband...Very tall and wide shoulders, and always on point. PLus can be a big intimidatingly quiet. (Very much has an old soul in him!)

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Wren...thank you
Gena...so nice to be remembered. And I thought I was the type people could never forget.

Come on ladies. If you read mt post you know that I have this thing for "older men" SmileyCentral.com Even my husband loved that part of my post. I have to confess Lucian is still my favorite. But then again I just have to go see Marguerite to get some of her advice on things. I can relate to her humor.

Cindy {P3 and very forgettable}

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Cindy, we could never forget you....(unless your with Lucien and want to be forgotten.)

My thing for Victor comes from my husband. however,I have had a thing for older men my entire life. It drove my dad crazy growing up! as i turns out my husband is almost 10 years older than me.

Any time want to go see Marguerite, I am there. I have 3 kids and would love to learn her secrets!

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

I think it is that over 2,000 years old thing that has me. My husband is only 4 tears older than me.
Think of all that knowledge from Marguerite we can benefit from.

Cindy- AE3

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

A wonderful piece of mis-typing there Cindy. I really like the idea of someone being only 4 tears older than their partner.

Also makes it sound as if we've missed a whole series of dramatic and highly significant events going on during the time it took for those 4 tears to roll down someone's cheek.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Sorry about that Mr. Spice. It is a little hard to type with a cat pawing at and laying on the keyboard. And of course spell check said it was okay. Guess I need to re-read more closely.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

cindy, don't apologise! At least you have a cat on your lap,....my spelling is just bad! I don't want to know how many spelling errors I have on this thing!

G. - AE3

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

It wasn't a criticism, Cindy. It's actually a fantastic concept of different way of measuring age and, perhaps, life experience.

Dave

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

That's the thing about spellcheck. If it's another regular word, it doesn't catch it. So, I keep telling my boys they still must learn to spell. My dh did back me up on that one, explaining how spellcheck doesn't always catch the wordbecause he relies on it a lot at work. He isn't really a bad speller, but it isn't his stongest point.

Dh is just "2 tears" older than me. Maybe that's why I have a thing for those "younger" immortals. You know, the ones around 500 years old & younger.
Bastien, Vincent, Etienne, Thomas, Christian...Lucern is my "older" man! I can't even remember going out with anyone more than 2 or 3 years older than me, except for maybe once. (although it's hard to remember things from over 21 years ago )

Speaking of Lucern, dh gets his grumpy side when he is sick. Why can't it be Lucern's fun side? Any other time, dh is easy to live with. Yesterday, he really didn't feel good, and he was past grumpy to downright grouchy. He is used to having just me & the boys and a female feline, so having two other ladies in the house is new. It's not like he didn't grow up with a mother & sister, though! My dh is socialble, but he is actually an introvert and has got more set-in-his-ways in recent years. He gets all the socializing he needs through work & helping out with homeschool or church events. That's why he has reminded me so much of Bastien...he is the ultimate in responsibility and so on. Terri says he reminds her of Bastien, too! She is way into her "turning" with A Quick Bite! I even have her & Heather calling it that!

I wish today was "Super-Bowl Sunday!" but it's next Sunday. I would stick dh in his favorite chair in front of the tv with a bowl of soup, popcorn & whatever drink he wanted, and nobody would bother him all day long. Then I would remind him he is turning into his father (who I loved dearly, but sometimes he would have made a fantastic demanding, grumpy old vampire!)

As for the Super-Bowl, which is practically a National Holiday in the good ole USA, Go New York Giants!! I am not normally a giants fan, but I am an Eli Manning(QB)fan. His brother, Peyton, took home the Super Bowl Ring as QB for the Indianpolis Colts last year, and I want Eli to get it this year! But Eli is up against the New England Patriots who are trying for a perfect season...don't like those Patriots at all! I have a whole two-cents and bragging rights on this game with my sister, Sherri! (Can't afford more than cause I spent all my money on my hair )

Actually, it's the 'bragging rights' really at stake here, because I will NOT hear the end of it until the next Super-Bowl if the Patriots win! Football is really vicious in my family, LOL! Even my sons don't support my favorite team, which happens to be the New Orleans Saints (okay, I admit they seldom have even close to a winning season, except for last year when we almost made it to the big game! What happened this year? ) and which Peyton & Eli Manning's dad, Archie Manning, was QB for when I was just a small mortal. (My father & uncles only had daughters & nieces, so we learned about football at an early age LOL) This is American football , not to be confused with what the rest of the world calls football which we call soccer. Surely I will hear from some other New England Patriots fans... All this ranting just to say if it was the Super-Bowl today, I could just be nice & pamper dh. I'll try to be nice, anyway!

Now, Cindy & Gena, (aka Piper & Paige, although if we are Lynsay's Angelic Enforcers...we need to change our names...maybe A's for Angels and Argeneaus,...???) now that we have straightened out our powers and who we are, we have to stay with our mission!!! Dear Gena, I don't expect you at my "beck-and-call" unless I have to help hunt rogues & terminate criminals hee/hee or absolutely have to get to one of our fave immortals, but since Cindy & I can't orb, you now have to get us there. Well, by rights, Cindy's dh is the equivalent of "Leo" who in most seasons could orb...that was the only part of Piper that didn't fit for me...Leo was a whitelighter, but unless you are born one like Paige, you are a guardian angel, which means you are technically dead! We will modify that rule for Piper-Cindy, so that Cindy's Leo is well & alive and still can orb her where she wants to go! Even if he doesn't choose to read the books! It's still better than falling in love with half-demons (unless you count husbands when they are ill in that category LOL), and Leo had a number of different roles during the eight seasons. I'm so glad we have more than 8 books!

Gena, as for the hair for the boys, my 14yos is sooooo traditional. A regular boys cut, preferably short...he doesn't like it when he swims and his hair is down on his neck...it bothers him. He is also traditional in clothing he wears. Jeans & Tees, or a nice pullover or button down for church, etc. There are some tee-shirts and things with anime characters and such, but he is my compliant, more introverted, avid reader especially of fantasy/sci-fi, and some historical biography. Loves it when his brother is occupied with friends when he has a book he wants to read or wants his "me time", but does get along well with his friends too. He loves to sing (a very musical person) and is willing to take ballroom dancing with me! He can be a total couch potato, but he likes a lot of different kinds of shows. He is interested most in...books and places around the world. Wonder where he gets that from? He did favor getting green hair for awhile and considered it, but said it would have to wait until basketball was over. I think the phase may have passed, but we shall see. I said I would only pay for it once, and then they had to earn the money themselves. Also, they have to deal with other people's reactions, so in some ways it can be a learning experience. Since his dad had kiddingly said yes when asked one time while we were getting the boys haircuts, they did consider blue & green hair, but I kind of talked them out of it before our Disney trip. Mom (me) didn't really want funky-coloured hair in the pictures!

Of all the grandchildren on my side, the four youngest adore Heather. That is where the interest in unusual hair colours came to be. (Well, that and the strange cartoons of today.) Heather is the oldest...five years older than my son, and she has had "manic-panic" hair colours (you have to order them online, usually)...neon pink, purple, cotton candy, sapphire blue, bright red, goth black, teal blue (for a character at an anime/manga convention...she made her own costume and died her waist length hair the colour of the character's and she did a great job.) However, bleaching her long hair out to change up for characters and conventions took it's toll, and she was ready for something suitable for job-hunting, etc. Black washes her out...She is a natural blond that went darker as she got older, and with her porceline skin, it gives her a "Snow White" look. Plus, she wears little make-up... She doesn't need it and never did the goth make-up. She has always drawn pictures, wrote stories, and played games with her friends based on anime/manga, which I know very little about, and many of her "styles" have been based on characters and anime conferences. She is very careful with the younger kids, knowing that what is age-appropriate for her is not always okay for them. My hairdresser trimmed up her hair, and it's a rich deep, natural Auburn, a little longer than shoulder length with bangs. Looks like she was born with it! Perfect for a young adult wanting to move on into her twenties this year! She is also very considerant...last year, we had a formal picture taken of the five grandchildren for my parents, and she died her hair a natural brown. I was fine with the blue, but she wanted it to be what her grandmother would like. (My mother is not wild about the crazy colours! Maybe it's a generation thing?)

Now, 12yos has always had a whole different style! He is one of the most socialble people I have ever known, a complete extrovert. (so much for homeschoolers being isolated and unsocialble )
He does not meet a stranger, although he does know proper safety when meeting new people. In a group of friends, he likes everyone for who they are, and will not let anyone bully someone else. He is as strong-willed as can be (his dad & I have had to deal with that a few times), but I know that when that kind of trait can be molded into persistance and hard-work instead of just stubborness, it can be a valuable leadership trait. He is extremely witty, with a dry sardonic wit that he inherited mostly from my dh's side with a little of the softer fun of my sister, Terri, who could have been a stand-up comedienne! He loves strategy games and is good at them, whether board games or video, and he savours reading a little at night before bed. The highlights in his hair are very subtle, as Lee didn't do them heavy, just thin pieces pulled through the cap. (My son learned that cap wasn't too comfortable!) After all, we didn't want him to look like he had been "frosted" on top! LOL It is not so much that he is trendy...my boys didn't even know what brand-names were until a couple of years ago...rather that he just has a natural sense of what looks good on him. He had his hair "spiked" when he was younger, but it is a little longer now. Like my dh, he prefers his hair longer, and actually so do I. His friends like his new hair a lot, and I can live with natural-highlights better than unusual hair colors. He prefers not to sing or dance, although he can do both. He is interested in animals, and I never know what fact I'm going to learn each day about some obscure animal I've never heard of before. Actually, I suggested we go with the highlights in his hair, because the style we had picked out had them, and I knew it would look really good on him.

As for sports, my boys both do well in & and both are things their dad enjoys doing with them. My younger son wants to try and they both enjoy . We gave a try but although they like to watch pro games, they didn't care about playing. I'm glad because some friends child burned out on it a couple of years ago after playing 64 games in one season is difficult to do as a homeschooler unless you get involved with a private school team. I was unwilling to be a -mom, because I won't get up to be at the ballpark at 6:00 am on Saturdays and I'm not willing to have games on Sundays!

Even my identical twin sisters are very different in ways. After having my two sons who are opposite in so many ways, I have swayed a little more to equal amounts of heredity & environment as to who people are and become. That is because both of my sons have had these personality traits from birth...when I expected them to be more alike! So younger children are more physically exhausting, while older children tend to be more mentally challenging! But my little nest of birds are growing up fast, just as well-meaning people told me they would, and IRL I don't have the power to "freeze time."

AE3-wren...who is a chirping away today...and I only missed posting yesterday!

P.S. One of my all time favorite books is a children's book by P.D.Eastman, The Best Nest. It is a family favorite...we had it memorized when the kids were little. It's only a part of where "wren" comes from, though!

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Cindy, it is fascinating, as one of your "powers" is freezing time. So YOU could do 4 years in 4 tears if you wanted! Also, We knew Lucian was your man...He has been from the beginning!

Gena, you now have the power to orb yourself to anyone at any time...but please don't make your AE3 sisters have to come after you for "stalking" your favorite immortal (Victor...who kind of has a job like Paige's Henry, if you think about it, now that Lucien has made him live where he can take care of all those mortals who know the "secret." Otherwise, the poor mortals would have been terminated!)

wren

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Wern
Speaking of Victor in Port Henry. My friend after reading TAV suggested that some Immortal ladies go there to find their lifemates. If 5 guys can why not the girls?
IMO that would be just too much. Almost like your own little colony of Vampires.
2 more days and Thomas's story is out. Can not wait for it. If Borders was open 24/7, I would be there at midnight.Jean said to me "If they can do it for Harry Potter, why not for Lynsay?"

Mr. Spice..I did not take offence. Sorry if it sounded like that. Just annoying when the 4foot decides she wants "ME" time. Wether on the phone, reading or on the computer. She evens wakes me up just to pet her.

Gena..I do not wish to to be at my beck n' call. Just on those occasions when I just need that fix. Then, maybe we can all decide to make a day of visiting our favorite. That is when we are not on business.

My SusieKat thinks the best time to wake up her human mom for petting is between 2-4 am and the headbutting doesn't stop until I give in...what's the deal with that? And lately, she has tried getting up in my computer alcove...she never did that until I became a permanant poster on this forum

Of course, she does like to do her catnapping with me during the afternoon and she looks really cute sitting in the video game chair or in front of the tv watching television.

They feel that they are being neglected. Thy want to be the center of attention. That is about the time mine starts in. She goes slapping my hubby between 4:30 - 6am to be fed.
I found this magnet that has a picture of a cat and says: "There is no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast"
I got that for hubby.

Mention of the Superbowl reminds me of how disappointed I was when I first arrived here and found it was a sporting event. I'd been hoping for a giant dish of clam chowder.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Oooo, a giant bowl of Clam Chowder. That sounds good right about now. And I'd much rather have that than the game. I used to be a huge football fan but I can take it or leave it now.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Hey, I'd be willing to dig into a superbowl of clam chowder with y'all! Especially for this year's SuperBowl game, which has Northeast teams playing!

Mr. Spice, I don't know much about soccer other than the USA stuff and little about that, and I know even less about cricket Help...

MR. SPICE:

I lived in England for a while, but I have to agree, It took me years to understand american-football (not big in my family, just the super-bowl)
However, it took almost a year to understand cricket! I still don't know all the rules, but what baffles me......is how can someone not get bored with a game that has been known to go on for days....i have seen one last a week....

G. (the baby of AE3 signing out!)

P.S.->I am freezing today, and would love some clam chowder..Ithink I might make some for dinner!

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

Gena, that's the whole point of cricket. It's a five day picnic (if you can ever get five days clear of rain in England). You can sit, have a drink, eat snacks, read a book or a newspaper, whittle, knit, learn to play the banjo or just contemplate the sky and think deep thoughts. All at the same time as watching a sport where nothing much happens for hours at a time, there are no team strips (everyone wears white), there are breaks for lunch, tea and dinner (all true) and the major internation matches last for five days.

In fact it's a sport for the kind of people who don't really want to get too excited over sports. As for the rules... they're really an English joke deliberately made extra complicated to confuse anyone who hasn't been steeped in the sport since birth.

So, back on topic - how about Mr Beckham as an Argeneau?

Good choice, Jill! I don't remember him being mentioned...but I'm not sure where to cast him. We have to get the Director/Producer (Mr. Spice) back to making up a list for us!

Jill love the idea of Val Kilmer...

If he was still alive I would maybe even put River Pheonix in there as well! RIP!

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

OOOH I used to love watching River Phoenix. In thinking about the tv show, I thought about what kind of theme song would they have? I mean I love the theme song by the Smiths from Charmed ( even though I don't watch the show too much) But I couldn't think of a good song to go with Argeneaus. Something catchy and upbeat like the song from "Friends" or a little more slower???

P.S. Warning.....Thinking about this put the "I dream of Jeanie" theme song in my head so be careful about what you come up with.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

I think the idea of Keanu Reeves from Speed would be good for Greg. But I can't think clearly right now so I don't know really

I think Keanu Reeves would be a great Greg too. He just has that doctor/psychologist look.

Re: Not all Vampires are bad!

I can see Antonio Banderas as one of the Aregenau men, of course I think Johnny Depp would be wonderful as well...I would be so onto my tv screen every series...hmm wondering if this is giving Lynsay any ideas? We can keep our fingers crossed...

Keep on reading
