My gr.gr.grandmother Elizabeth Organ was born 1 June 1836 in Ellwell, Withington, Gls. to parents William Organ and Mary Ann (Dowdeswell). Her mother died in Ablington, Gls. 1843. Elizabeth came to Australia in 1856 on the "James Fernie" with her father, stepmother - Ann Sophia (Jenkins-widow), sisters, and step-siblings. She married Alfred Wicks in September 1857 at Rangers Valley, Wellingrove, near Inverell, New South Wales. Alfred and Elizabeth Wicks had 12 children. Elizabeth died 1917 in Inverell, NSW.
