I can't wait to see how this relates.....

Lucian "Latin" meaning light
Julius "Latin" Down-bearded youth
Bastien "French" Venerable, Revered
Lucern "German" Lake Lucerne...you know the rest!
Lissianna ???
Vincent "Latin" prevailing
Thomas "Greek" meaning TWIN
Margurtie "french" pearl
Marcus Latin origin, and its meaning is "dedicated to Mars" (who by the way is the roman God of Fertility...) considering all the fun he and Julius would have....it suits him don't you think!!
I know I have missed a few, but I will be back to add the rest later....just wanted to start the thread and see what everyone thought were!!!
Thanks G3. I liked this info. While you searching see what you can find on the names of Armand, Martine and their father's name Ramses. I would be very interested to know their origins.
I am assuming Armand and Martine are french, but you know what they say about assuming
Gena, I have almost all the names looked up. I did it a while back when we said something about name meanings on the favorite immortal names board...So we may have some that are similar from different sources.

Bricker's first name is Justin? I love that name it is my favorite little nephew's (admit here but not in my sister's prescence) name. Okay tell me more about Justin.
I told you that you would find an interesting and interwoven pattern. I also like how the immortals names are interwoven...name meanings being the same or similar for various family members. Like Vincent is actually named for his father Victor, when you look at the name meaning.
I found it interesting that Elvira, where Elvi gets her nickname, is Spanish for "foreign and true."
She is in a Spanish speaking country that is not her own, and it is true that she was "turned" accidentally
while in Mexico.
Her true name Ellen, fits Victor, as it means "Light" and she brings light back to him that he has not had since the loss of Marion, and also it fits with several of the Argeneau family names. I found another meaning for Ellen ~ English "open-minded" ~ and she is open-minded about Victor's special needs concerning feeding and the possibility that the genetic anomaly could pass on to their children. Also, she and Mabel had to be open-minded about what had happened to her for her to survive after she was turned.
Also, notice that a lot of the older immortals have names concerning victory or being warlike...maybe because they are the ones who had to be victorious for the immortals to survive, or they make up the councils or serve as enforcers?
Shaa, I agree about Vita. She did spend her life being vibrant & lively to hide the fact that she was "stealing" Julius' life from him. That makes the irony really brilliant, doesn't it?
A: Lissianna ~ Greek - possibly from Lissandra, Lysandra - "Defends Others, Liberator; She Frees Others" or possibly a form of Alexandra/Alexis - Greek/English/Scottish/Spanish "Regal Protector, Helpful, Pretty" (As Greg is her lifemate and she is very beautiful, these fit...as well as the fact that she is not afraid to stand up to her Uncle Lucian, and that she wanted to gain her independence and help others after her father died. Maybe Lissianna is the French form of these names.)
I: Meredith ~ Welsh "Lord, Protector"
M: Maria ~ Latin/French/German/Italian/Polish/Spanish
- meaning "Desired Child" for all of the above.
M: Magda ~ Scandinavian/Polish "Believer, Woman of Magdala" and from Magdala - Greek "Girl In The Tower"
(She was Marguerite's maid who took Christian to Julius as a baby to save him, and a victim of Vita.)
L: Marion ~ French - form of Mary "delicate spirit"
(Victor's 1st lifemate and Vincent's Mother)
M: Christopher (C.K.) Keyes ~ Christopher = Greek "Christ-Bearer"
i've been wondering.......there's this gum or something that people chew when they try to quite cigarette smoking and it's called nicoderm. it kinda looks like nicodemus. think they're related in some way?
Well, Nicodemus name fits, doesn't it? If you manage to quit smoking with the gum, you have a victory.
I think the name for nicoderm comes from nicotine...the addictive part of tobacco, and from "derm" meaning skin. There is also a patch that you can apply to your skin daily...and it sticks on and releases the nicotine. Slowly, the smoker is weaned off of the nicotine in smaller doses in the patches/gum...there are numbers on the boxes for the "level" you are on. My aunt and my sister both used the patches to quit smoking.
Bastien, Bastian, Bastion. Bastions are like mini-fortresses which stored treasures like a medieval bank vault, so isn't it fitting that Terri means 'harvester'?
Does anybody have the meaning of Sebastian as where the name is taken from? (One of the novels I read recently had a minor character named Bastian, Sebastian as the characters full name.)
