how u came across it

mines was "bite me if you can"

and it cought my eye when i was at the train station about to get on a 4 hour journy

Re: first book and how

the first one i picked up was The Accidental Vampire. I picked it up at walmart cause i needed a new book to read and it looked really interesting

Re: first book and how

Love Bites was my first.

I found Lynsay when I did research after reading the Twilight series. Got interested in Vampires (of course have always been interested in Vampires but Twilight re-ignited that), and researched for good Vampire series and found the Argeneaus, read all the reviews, went online and ordered all of them and a week later when they came in, I was biten.

Never been a romance junkie, but I was turned and now they are like a drug. Once I pick them up just can't put them down. I was a hermit for close to two weeks, reading her books. I take a couple with me on each business trip, because I'll stay up and read when I get back to my room. I recently ordered all of Lynsay's historicals and read them as well, just missing two, but should get those in today.

Would be nice if Lynsay would do a podcast every now and then, then I could download onto my IPOD while on the plane.

Re: first book and how

wow smart idea lol

Re: first book and how

My first Lynsay Sands book was What She Wants which I bought in The Borders book store on School Street in Boston MA. I'd just come up from New York, where I'd met Lynsay for the first time, and this was the first chance I'd had to have a look at any of her books.

Re: first book and how

The first book of Lynsay's that I read was Tall, Dark, and Hungry. I was in the library and had just finished a book that had a cartoon cover and I saw this one and decided to give it a try. I have been a huge fan ever since.

Re: first book and how

The first book I read by Lynsay was The Switch. I was at the flea market looking for books liked the back and have been hooked since. I keep going back hoping to find more so far I have found some of her historicals there but I have never seen any of the Argeneau series there.

Re: first book and how

My first Lynsay book was also Single White Vampire...and I picked it up in Barnes & Noble when the covers of it and Tall, Dark, & Hungry caught my eye while browsing. Another lady browsing the romance section had read them, and said they were very good. Those were the only two of the series on the shelf, so she told me I should start with SWV because it came before the other one. Two days later I was in my local Bookland getting Tall, Dark, & Hungry and looking for more.

Like Gena...I loved the letters between Kate and Lucern. His extensive vocabulary "NO" just was too funny!

The first historical I read was The Reluctant Reformer, but I checked it out at the library. A question about the possibility of a book for a side character in the book led me to look up Lynsay's site and actually email her my question and tell her my favorite of the Argeneaus, which at that time was TD&H...still in the top two, btw. She replied within a couple of weeks, a wonderful letter back...not a form letter, but a personal reply...even my Frog Prince was impressed. While my historical character can't get his story told at this time because he belongs to Dorchester...I was totally hooked, and I've been on the forum ever since. Soon after, A Bite To Remember was published...and I've been collecting and reading all of Lynsay's books ever since.

Of course, I rarely say anything on the forum...

Re: first book and how

The first book was Love Bites. My husband brought it home from work. The operator that worked for him had Love Bites, Single White Vampire and, Tall Dark and Hungry.

Love Bites he brought home had it read in one day the next had the other 2 done.

Re: first book and how

My first was Single White Vampire. The cover caught my eye but i passed it for a while coz i was reading another series. When i went back to the library though I read the back cover and i think i stood there for like 5 minutes tring to figure out what SWM and SWF stood for (i know what it stands for now ). I read the prolouge and i guess i forgot i was in the library coz i laughed too loud and i got shushed by the security guard

like wren and gena my fav is the prolouge

Re: first book and how

My first was Bite Me if You Can. Poor dear Lucian. I came across his story in a supermarket one day. Our eyes met and I was destined to be a slave to Argeneaus forever.

I agree with that being one of my favorite quotes.
And my favorite scenes CODPIECE and Blood bank.

SWV was my first Lynsay book. I was at work, at the register that has books. Well every day I would see what books sold. I kept looking the them thinking what kind of idiot would read that crap. *hangs head in shame* yes it is true............... Well by the end of the week there was only one copy left of SWV.
So I picked it up (I used to go in at 6am so it was quiet) and started reading it. By the time I got my break I wassssssssssssss hooked.

Re: first book and how

Linda it's okay. Lynsay was my first paranormal romance writer. I wasn't sure I would like it. But I think there is some kind of magnetic pull that just makes you have to read it.

PS Thank you for that quote. My favorite too.

Re: first book and how

Love Bites. I found it at a used book sale at my library. The cover looked cute, read the back and added it to my stack. Once I read it, I immediately went online to my library's catalog and put the rest that I could find on hold. I loved how funny it was and wanted to read more!

Starting with Bite Me if You Can, I have bought them all as soon as they hit the shelves and just recently I decided to treat myself and purchase the earlier ones in the series. Still waiting on SWV to be delivered (ordered March 9th! via Media Mail) and then I will be able to reread at my leisure.

Re: first book and how

The Perfect Wife was my first Lynsay book. I loved the cover and the premise. Read it and really liked it but for some reason I didn't pick up another until over a year later. I had started reading some paranormals by then and I came across A Quick Bite, again, loved the cover. (The Dorchester covers never appealed to me.) Promptly read all the Argeneaus I could get my hands on and have been reading the historicals as time allows. Love them all!

Re: first book and how

The first book i read was Single White Vampire. I was at Barnes and noble looking for a book and when I saw vampire in the title, I decided to get it. I have always liked Vampire novels of all genres. After the first chapter, I was hooked. Then I started looking for more books by Lynsay. I must say this series is the best I have read in a long time.

Re: first book and how

I don't know how I got it, probably a gift, but I read The Perfect Wife but I didnt know much about Lynsay Sands so I didn't know any of her other titles. Then, when Bite Me If You Can came out through Doubleday or Rhapsody I got it as a Featured Selection because I had forgotten to click "Do Not Send" (LUCKY ME!!!!) I read it and loved it so much I bought every single one of them and started getting the rest of the historicals. Thank goooodddness I had no problem with Single White Vampire!

Then I got Accidental Vampire and Vampires are Forever and placed orders on all the others

Re: first book and how

Hi everyone!!!

While driving back to Mass we stopped at a truck stop in Joplin, Missouri. While I was waiting in line to pay for our gas there was a little book rack so I picked-up 2 books, The Key (Lynsay Sands)and Because of You (Cathy Maxwell). Up to that day I had never read a romance book. Now I have a book collection of over 1,300 books most of which are romance.

Thanx Lynsay!!!

Re: first book and how

Well, I actually came across several in my bookstore and couldn't decide which to take. I picked up the ones I could spot where part of a series (4 of them) and got to reading. The first one I read was Lucian and Leigh's story. Oh man, he was one sexy vampire despite the whole 'tough guy' image... not that I mind that image, if it suits and it does suit Lucian.

Re: first book and how

my 1st was a quick bite, but I bought whatever Borders had in stock related to this series, then went to ebay and amazon to get the rest. granted it took me a while to get. It took me over 2 months to get SWV, but when i did get it i got 2, go figure. I am happy that is all that matters right?
