Hello Ladies and Gents. I was reading over the other threads came across W2s thread for those in the know. Her question about what was your favorite funny moment, had me thinking. I know very scary

This is probably a thread somewhere else, but if not here it is. What is favorite funny Argeneau moment or moments?

My favorite is Lucern (bet you didn't think it would be him ) when he watching Buffy the Vampire slayer. His dialogue had me in stiches. Favorite line "Stake happy that is what she is".

theres 4 that come to mind for me...
1. Victor and all the big huge immortals shopping for cheesecake and then all laying on the beds together with poor Elvi squished in the middle, can just imagin that picture!

Hey Jill....Victor= mmmm! (hehe!)

2. looking for protection...and calling the front desk of the hotel....so funny! poor CK, I think has seen just about all the Argenaeu men naked!!!

3. Greg's erotic dream with all the girls from Lissiana's birthday party in little babydolls...then the downer of Thomas in the spiderman PJ's

3. Bastien...start,, then,, stop,,then ,,start,, then,,stop!...you either know or you don't! (not goig to elaborate!)

4. and of course Lucian and the books! priceless!

5. Oh yea..eitene and rachel in the garden...thats all your getting from me! you get itor you don't...

J4 that was a good one. G3 those were good. Here are mine:

1) After Greg's turn and leave it there.

2) When Etienne and Rachel going back to Etienne's home to get re-acquainted. Her not fainting and him saying I must have done something wrong.

3) Lucern biting CK and Kate going postal thinking him gay.

4) Have to agree with Gena about Bastien. Nothing can top that!


5) Slamming the door in Jackie & Tiny's face. But she's a MORTAL!!


6) What can I say? Books,yes. But I also thought Lucian not only trying to feed Leigh Alpo but, also cleaning up the mess Julius mad in the kitchen before the door opens and he is lying on the floor thanks to Leigh opening the door on him.

7) Victor with his foot against Elvi's bedroom door. 'nugh said.
Also not funny but owie. Birdbath.

8) Inez: I work for the Devil. Thomas: You should try being his cousin.

Will try to pick one. There are several.
9) Ting attempting to remember where he heard the name Julius. Then remembering that Marguerite naming her dogs that. Then Marguerite saying she has taught a lot of Julius' to heal over the years.

For my top 3 I did my best to keep is short.

The whole first bit of Lucian's book was super funny

Oh yeah and the dog food incident! Food is food Its pretty obvious that Lucian hasn't eaten in a very very long time.

Now Ladies and Gents I never said this was easy. It will require large amounts of revisting to our favorite Argeneau stories. But I think you can handle it.

hoping to get Lucern's book tommorow and Bastien and Vincent's then i'll have all of them!

I just loved the scene in Vampires are Forever when Inez locks herself in the bathroom and keeps saying "You bit me!" over and over. Then Thomas says that Bastien made him do it and Bastien is like "What?!!" That had me cracking up because they sounded exactly like siblings would. "He made me do it" "Did not!" "Yes, you did!"

Oh, and I just reread Single White Vampire (I had to wait about 5 weeks on a waiting list from the library. I ordered it about 3 weeks ago from Alibris but it's still not here yet!) The scene where Kate follows Lucern into his kitchen and he is bent over in the fridge getting a bag of blood and she startles him and he rips the bag and blood goes all over him and he bangs his head. She's fussing over him worried about a concussion and all he can think about is trying not to shock her by licking all the blood off his arms!

Then, when she tries to help him clean off the blood in the sink and he jerks away from her, he slams his head on the tap. And it doesn't end there! He tries to sneak a quick glass of blood and she startles him again and he drops the glass into the sink and it shatters. She's talking and all he hears is blah, blah, blah because he's thinking about his dinner going down the drain! That was hysterical! I had forgotten how funny this book was.

I wonder, does Lynsay write the basic plot first and then go back and decide how to twist situations to make it funny or does it just come out that way all at once while she writes the story? Either way, I love it! I don't think I'd enjoy the books nearly as much if it wasn't for the humor.

I think Lynsay's humor just comes out as she goes along, even if the basic plot is there. I don't think she knows how to not be funny, as she just has a wonderful perspective on life and keeping a good sense of humor just helps everything.

I agree that the humor is part of what makes these books better than the rest!

But, her natural sense of "funnies" is in all the work I've read by her, not just the paranormals. That's part of how she became my favorite author!

Since Kim chose my ulitmate favorite Argeneau to represent her favorite funny moment, I will comment that she has very, very good taste.

That scene was very funny. You could just picture the sad puppy dog face. He made me do it.

Yeah if we had to rank top funny Argeneau immortals, Thomas would be #1

But, I think if we had to rank funniest Argeneau book...I would have to say Single White Vampire. All are funny, but Lucern's story is at the top and sets up so many of the following books!

I have to agree, because like Jill my favorite Argeneau is Lucern.

Of course my favorite funny moment in Single White Vampire is the great profilactic search. It was like a scavenger hunt, poor baby.

Although I agree with Wren that had to be the funniest book, I have ever read, it was always be my favorite.

I liked the scene about the jeweled codpiece. I laughed so hard my husband asked what was so funny. While I read it to him, he also laughed and said poor fella.

And that's one scene that definitely isn't based on anything that happened in real life.

Also love the part when Lucern goes looking for protection and he has to call down to the front desk. Can you imagine being the woman on the other line?

I have spent 10 long years in customer service and I can tell you, if that happened to me, I definetly would not been able to be professional about it.

With somebody like Lucern? No way

Acal when you finally get to read SWV you best not be eating or drinking and have a pillow handy. It was hillarious!

The best part about Lucern is that fact that he does not try to be funny. This hysterical things just kee happening to him. Poor lovely immortal

Lucian is the same way. He is grumpy and that is funny.

My favorite funny moment would be in the book Bite Me If You Can. when Lucian wanted to feed Leigh dog food.
2 Would be when Thomas was teaching Lucian to waltz

One my favorite scenes in BMIYC. Especially when he got busted. And of course when he was explaining about the books he bought to Rachel

loved it when he got to Marguerites house and Thomas dropped him off and left him!!

plus, when leigh found out that Rachel only packed sexy little nities! and he dropped the tray and rushed her!

I love all the books I have read so far... and all of them have had a great deal of humorous moments... but my man of choice is Lucian so far... don't know why but I love him... and love his devotion to his family...

The most recent funny moment I have read was Inez's "fur problem" being a woman with dark hair, I understand lol. And saying her last name fit her well ("Bear")

I loved Mabel and Dj's err first romance scene and her farm references.

I can't remember the earlier books so well :)
