I also thought it was great that Alessandro's lifemate was "84." Lynsay has been very kind to her "older ladies." In part, Elvi was based on being turned at an older age...even though it was accidental. (Hey, Lynsay...correct me if I'm wrong on Elvi.I just seem to remember it coming up in discussion awhile back.)
It does make those of us who have lived a little while longer feel we are part of the romance world, too. And what a wonderful surprise twist that all of the immortals found their lifemate in Port Henry! I wonder if it was because their minds were already open to the idea of "vampires," since they were all so close and caring of Elvi!
I have been in & out on the board this past week, and have seen some of your posts. In case I haven't done so, WELCOME to the fab forum...home of the SASSy ARGENEUTS! Hope you have done the fun quiz on the "getting to know you" thread!
PS Wren I believe you were right about Elvi being older. She had already lost her husband and I think she was only just recently turned. What was it 2 or 3 years?
plus, i loved how all the woman were embarrased at first about being around "youger men", but got over it real quick!!
***MABEL AND DJ IN THE BEDROOM,& ELVI WALK BY!!****
hey and welocome so to the point Lynsay is thare any possibility u could branch off the finding life mates part and make a related seies about the pregnancies of some of the cuple like one on lissi and greg and what happend to them during it and the other cuples already with lifemates also do they get morning sickness?
I doubt they'd get morning sickness the nanos would probably regulate that so they don't need to do that. But i'd assume everything else would happen though
The part with Mabel and DJ was hillarious! "Did she grow up on a farm?"
Denise your probably right. I couldn't remember but I knew it had been fairly recent before she met Victor. (I almost typed Vincent. It is late here on the east coast and the brain is a little fried)
I also loved her need for cheesecake. I can deeply deeply sympathize with the woman. She was so funny when she made a car full of guys run her out to the supermarket and bed place immediately when she found out that she didn't need only drink blood and sleep in a coffin.
I really like that tidbit Lynsay threw in about how Bram Stoker came up with Dracula.
Okay, I'm being really good and not peeking at any of the other posts, I was trying to find the discussion thread for this book and this is the only one I could find (we seriously need to clean up the duplicate threads, sorry, me being anal again)lol
So, Hopefully I will have this book by the weekend as I am #3 on the waiting list and the two out are due back by the 19th!!!! I am so excited.
I do have one spoiler I've read, something about the hood of a car Looking forward to this book!!
uh, Cheesecake?
Okay, I am now #2 in line....I've gotten so desperate for this next book that I am now checking other county libraries. I live in one county and work in another and lucky me, I pass the library on my way for both counties. Soooo, checking to see now!
Woo-Hoo!!! It's there and people are not standing in line to read it! They even have more of her historicals than my home town library!!
The Deed and What She Wants is there!!
Dave likes regular cheesecake...plain, no chocolate or other stuff messing it up for him! We will have to look on the "cakes" thread. I think that is where we had the whole discussion about cheesecake and chocolate...along with a few other things!
Actually, Jill, when I looked through the "cakes" thread, I saw that Mr. Spice likes cheesecake as long as it doesn't have something in it like chocolate...because he doesn't like chocolate. I don't know if he likes other kinds.
To be on the safe side, I think we should go with just plain good yummy cheesecake! What do you think?
wren...who would like to live 15 minutes from The Cheesecake Factory!
Yeah Tracy. W2 definetly go safe straight plain cheesecake. Can't take any chances.
I think I must have been heavily medicated when I posted that G3. Didn't you see the cough cough. I wasn't in my right head. I am sure of it. Heehee....
sorry I have a soft spot for an "Angel Wannabe" with a very dry sense humor
I can't believe Mable & Teddy did that! *shock* How very sweet, but oh my!
And Elvi couldn't be any nicer about the Birthday bite
the Iguana, LOL!!
DJ & Mabel O-kay.
Hmm, why doesn't Edward just LEAVE! (No, I'm not quite through yet)
Had to laugh at his reading her thoughts on the way to the A&P.
Victor:
The kitchen, the car, the garage!!!! Oh my!
And WHY doesn't he just crawl into bed with her, hell, she's got a brand new KING sized bed.
Okay, back to reading, er, I mean working, yeah that's what I'm doing today
I though Edward's reading her was funny, too. He was fuming up front 'cause he knew every thought going through her head. At that point I was like you, thinking "Okay, Edward, give it up and go home, already." But I thought maybe he just wanted to hang around and see who won.
Just re-read it yesterday and I forgot when Lucian and Leah show up towards the end and DJ says Hello to the "Dragon Slayer". Just because she slayed Lucian's heart.
