Hey Lynsay, is the change from the cute and adorable covers on LB, SWV, and TD&H to the one for Quick Bite due to the change of publishers?

Don't get me wrong, I like the cover. But if that had been the cover for LB instead of that ADORABLE bat holding the rose, I prob. wouldn't have picked it up.

Yes, Theresa, the change is due to the change in publishers. I was told by my editor that Avon doesn't do cartoon covers. Shrug. I like this cover and actually wasn't too keen on some of the others, but I've had readers say both, they liked it and its why they bought the book, and they disliked it but bought the books anyway, so -- Shrug. I only worry about them liking the book.

0_o wow i had a dream the other night that the covers were differant ^_^ of course they were just anothr cartoon design and i was looking at them in a gas station ^____^ i was giggling like mad looking at them saying"awwww they're so cuuuuuuuute!" heh that's wierd though are you allowed to make your own covers for your books? im trying to illustrate mine but ^^' now that i think about it im not sure if my publishers will let me....

hehehe...if I ever had a book published and was able to do the illustration...you'd have little stick people (or stick bats, etc.) all over the place LOL!!! Ok, so now we know that my math skills AND my drawing skill suck

Unfortunately, no. Authors generally have very little say or input when it comes to their covers. If you have a good idea, they MIGHT use it. The only idea I've given that they ever listened to was for the cover of ALWAYS, although my vision wasn't nearly as beautiful as the artist's. He did a magnificent job with it.
