Ribs were fall off the bone great....I'm eating leftovers tonight...wow that sauce makes them great. Keep up the great work and stay cool.

I worked for Dirty Ernie's in Beckley and filled in some in the Faytetteville spot, you guys are the best people I ever worked for, loved my time there, was some of the best times I have ever had. Just seen the site when I was getting your phone number for my resume, and I have to say seeing the pics really bought back some great memories, my daughter Mintie' still goes there and always gives me an update. Hope Ronnie and everyone are doing great. HEY ALL.

My son was worried about going to Dirty Ernie's because, judging from the outstide, it didn't look like a restaurant. WELL...you certainly can't judge a book by its cover and it would have been our loss had we not eaten dinner there on 8/1/09. Great atmosphere, great people, great courses, great everything!! A signed dollar bill is now displayed on the walls of this establishment forever reminding us of the great experience we had at Dirty Ernie's. Don't pass through this part of WV without stopping....in fact, go out of your wasy to go!!!

We were sight seeing at the bridge, and asked where we could find the best ribs around.

We stopped by on a bike trip we took a few years back.

We were camping in Summersville several years ago

We had a party of 16 and 3 different servers. The service was superb.

Everything we have had at the "Pit" has been great.

No one, we just out driving around one day

We go camping @ Battle Run every year and always make our annual trip to the "Pit". The food is always great the beer is the coldest around. While we were there you took pictures of our grandaughters to post on your web site, they were so exited.

See next year if not sooner.

It was so good. I lived in the deep south for 15 years and had ALOT of BBQ but nothing was ever as good as Dirty Ernies. Ribs were awesome. Not a piece of fat anywhere and they fell off the bone! And I am a huge fan of shredded BBQ pork and Ernie's was the BEST I ever had. Driving out of town we passed Dirty Ernie's and I think there was a tear in my eye. That new gumbo you had on the menu was good too. My husband loved it. My daughter who is 18 months old ate ribs and fries and loved every bit of it. Thanks so much for a great meal! We'll be back next year!

We had a wonderful time seeing Ernie again. Since we moved to Raleigh, NC we haven't gotten to come as often as we would like to. The food and staff and everyone just had the most fantastic time. Look forward to seeing you in July. We will bring more folks with us, they just have to try those ribs, and coconut Shrimp.

rafting was top notch at Ace with Tom Ball. we did the double upper Gauley! very very good times to be had in West Virginia. Ace is definitely the outfitter to go with plus they turned us on to you three years ago. we have been going every year since. this year was the best by far because of Big Tom Ball and we got to meet Ernie himself.

our visit to the rib pit both nights was fabulous. especially on sept. 19,05, we met Ernie and ya'll met Chung Lee'. that's right Chung Lee'. he is the one in the old man Chinese mask showing off his crane technique. thanks so much for putting Chung on the website now he is on the map! c u folks next Sept., wacth out for Chung Lee'

Brad White was the best waiter. He was so friendly!

The fetticuni was the best I have ever had, and I was begging my family to return there for our next meal!

The service was amazing, the food was unbelievable, and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

Rafting was a very enjoyable experience. It definately put West Virginia at the top of all of the vacation spots I've ever been on. Our guide, Austin Pensinger, was great! I couldn't have asked for a better time. My brother, his girlfriend, and I noticed the way that some of the other rafting companies treated their numerous customers just like another number upon the crowd, but the staff at Cantrell Ultimate Rafting was so great and personable with a small group of us. They treated us like people and learned our names. Rather than to act like they were forced to be there with us, they acted as if it was somewhere they really wanted to be. I will definately be returning to West Virginia in the near future, and when I have a family of my own some day, I will be sure to bring them there as well.

Dirty Ernie's Rib Pit was the best restaurant I ate at on the entire vacation, and probably the best restaurant I have ever eatin at in my whole life. Everyone was so great from the moment we opened the doors. Our waiter was polite and comical, but as well as helpful and on task. Ernie and his wife came to our table to see if we needed anything, but were so friendly that we ended up talking for several minutes. If anyone ever asks where to eat in West Virginia, I won't hesitate at all before resonding, "Dirty Ernie's Rib Pit!!"

The people, the food and the atmosphere

We came down from Zionsville, IN as a large group. This was the Senior boys from our High School football team and their Dads. There were about 35 of us total. The whole trip was awsome. We stayed at Appalachian Bible College 2 nights and had a great time. The River was great and the area is beautiful.

Justin told us about Dirty Ernies. Our raft told the others but only 8 of us came. They missed out. The food and atmosphere was great and all 4 boys left with a "Dirty Ernies'" T-Shirt. We told everyone about our experience and I think that next year, the whole group will go to Ernies for supper.
