I am a Early Childhood Education student currently attending York County Community College in Wells, Maine. As part of my graduation requirements I will observing and assessing children in a classroom environment in order to document learning and create an assessment tool to be used with young children. I was thrilled upon being accepted to Briarwoods program. I will be spending the next 13 weeks with the students and teachers in Miss Sandy's school. After meeting the staff at Briarwood (Michelle was wonderful) and visiting the website, I am confident that this will be an exceptional learning experience for me and I can only hope to be so lucky as to continue teaching in such an amazing program. Thank you for this opportunity to grow as an educator and I look forward to the time I will be spending in your classrooms.

I was a Montessori directress many years ago. I left Maine in 1975 to study the Montessori method in NJ. I knew the people who owned the farm property at that time, the Carvells. Eleanor and Maurice passed away many years ago. I have many fond memories of the times that I spent there during that time in my life. I was quite surprised to learn that a Montessori school now resides in that place.

I am a alumnae of Nasson College in Springvale, Me. and have attended homecomings in recent years. Perhaps I will visit when I am up there again.
