Hi,

I appreciate your work in preserving Wabasha Co. history. My great-grandparents, Julius and Augusta (Wegner) Teske were married in Plainview in 1976; their 12 children were born there. They later moved to the Enid, OK area. I have just completed a family history on them and will be sending it to the Plainview Center as well as the one in Rochester. It is mostly about the Teskes, but does include several obits on Augusta's family. Her mother was Caroline (Bunt) Wegner; Augusta had 5 sisters & one brother. I believe they all remained in MN if not right around Plainview. I'd welcome contact from researchers on both surnames.

Hi there. My name is Mike Altfillisch. My great-great-grandfather immigrated to America and eventually brought 12 of his 17 children to this country. Most arrived between 1852 and 1856. Their initial point of arrival was Galena, Illinois. One of his daughters, Katarina Altfillisch, married a Joseph Bader in 1854. They went upriver to Wabasha, MN where he established a farm in that year. They had 7 children, 4 of whom lived to adulthood. In 1873 they moved to St. Paul. In 1876 they moved to Yankton, SD and opened a hotel. THey remained there until their respective deaths in 1906 and 1909. If you have any Bader family information, I would appreciate it.

I am researching my GGGrandparents Thomas Bailey (b. 1829 Tipperary, Ireland), Frances Elizabeth Radabaugh (many other spellings), Anna Olsen, as well as Everetts, Arnolds, Robinsons, Haggertys and Carleys. The Baileys come to the South Troy area about 1852. His son George Benjamin Bailey (my GGGranfather) and Alice Amelia Everett came to Alberta in 1907.

Your cemetery listings answered may of my questions especially the Farm Hill Cemetery.

The Wabasha Co Genealogy site is great - Keep up the good work. We hope to visit your area this fall (2005)and do more reaseach.
