I would like to see included under this banner, the original Cyprus U.K. peace force, comprising in the earliest days of island based troops plus 14/20 Hussars from Libya. 2 R.A., Glosters, 3rd. Green Jackets (R.B.)and two R.A.F. Regiment squadrons.
I corresponded for a period with David on this item prior to his untimely death. During the period from 26th Dec. 1963 until approx seven weeks later when the U.N. took control, I was one of the small escort party provided by the R.A.F. Regiment who was with Major General Peter Young. Commander tripartite peace force.
