Johnson, Tuttle and I think our Halls not descended from Michael Johnson & Sarah Ford

I am the granddaughter of John M. Thornsberry of Beaver Creek Knott County in eastern Kentucky, known as "Big Jim" with the coal miners, and have been doing genealogy since I was sixteen beginning with information given to me by Landell Thornsberry, son of James and Nancy Caudill Thornsberry, when I was sixteen. I have over 4,500 ancestors in my pedigree now, beginning in this area of Kentucky from me back 250 years. Feel free to ask me any questions as my ancestors are too many to list now. I came across your site looking for the lineage of my ancestor Patrick Johnson son of Thomas. I'm descended from 3 of Thomas Johnsons' children who married 3 of Anthony Hall's children. Hall's children also intermarried with several Stapletons and Tacketts. Your site and some others show that Thomas Johnson is the son of Samuel Johnson who was the son of Michael Johnson however I believe there's a mistake. According to several of your Samuel Johnson's biographies published on the internet, he never had any children, although he had a brother Nathaniel and a relative named Thomas. Samuel died in England and his biographies never mention that he came to America. I'm hoping that someone will share whatever information links your Thomas Johnson to Samuel Johnson to Michael Johnson so I can try to figure this ancestry out one way or another. I've been stuck at this point for years with leads that don't pan out. I also am stumped at finding the Cherokee ancestry of John M. Thornsberry's mother Rachel Tuttle, although my dad and all his brothers and sisters say she was Cherokee, I can't find any proof of it. My dad's brother Donald says Rachel was a McCloud but Rachel's son Lawrence Thornsberry told me face to face that she was not adopted. I have her parents as William Tuttle and Cynthia Ann Thornsberry daughter of George Thornsberry and Rebecca Pridemore. I've been stumped on William Tuttle's father for years too. I moved to Salt Lake City Utah to do genealogy at the world's largest genealogy library before the internet was invented and majored in genealogy at a local university.
