Homeschool Sailing Program at Mystic Seaport

Dear C.H.E.E.R.,

I am a sailing instructor at Mystic Seaport and I am reaching out to your group to share some information about our Homeschool Sailing program. Sailing is a great way to get out on the water, make new friends and learn new skills! We are excited to be offering classes this season in hopes of connecting homeschool students in the Connecticut area.

Homeschool community sailing programs at Mystic Seaport are offered specifically for homeschoolers between the ages of eight and fourteen and are designed to build confidence in boat handling through on-the-water practice. We teach the basics of boat control, rules of the road and communication on the water.

Classes are offered on Fridays from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Session 1 runs from April 24 to June 12 and Session 2 runs from September 18 to November 6.
