Homeschool Adventure Days and Mini Series

As supporters of your family's choice for self-directed, home-based education, we aim to bridge the gap with specialized science programs for children who are homeschooled. We invite children to visit the Museum, tour our exhibits, and take part in classroom and planetarium programs. Workshops and planetarium shows are appropriate for children ages five to thirteen.

SCIENCE ADVENTURE DAYS
These single science-themed days are designed to whet the appetites of young scientists. Held the first Monday of the month from October through May, the Museum is open to homeschool families only on these days. Each day focuses on a particular science theme and timely astronomy event. Our upcoming fall session includes
October 7 Human Body & Nutrition; Observing Planet Mercury
November 4 Insects; Meteor Showers & Comets
December 2 Engineering; The Winter Solstice

HOMESCHOOL MINI SERIES
These in-depth sessions provide science enthusiasts a more focused study of particular science topics. Sessions run on selected Thursdays.
Session 1 October 3, 10, 17, 24
Grades 1-4: Earth Science
Grades 5-8: Light & Astronomy
Session 2 November 14, 21, December 5, 12
Grades 1-4: Light & Astronomy
Grades 5-8: Earth Science
