We'll be moving to Mansfield in a few weeks. I have two daughters, ages 4 and 2, with a third baby due to arrive early in 2014.

We've always been attracted to the idea of homeschooling and will be using the 2013-2014 academic year to discern and gather resources before starting our eldest on a kindergarten program. We've spent the last two years in France, and our experience with the French public school has been mixed (they start the schooling very early over here). We have the feeling that a conventional school is not for us, but are daunted by the prospect of doing all the the teaching ourselves. We're also very interested in Montessori, but believe that the tuition for the local Montessori schools probably eliminates that option.

We're eager to meet families in the area and get acquainted with homeschooling community (if there even is one). There's a lot we need to learn about the area and I'd love advice on getting established. Leads on good doctors, family resources, and fun things to do, etc, would all be appreciated.
