Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Some are missing the point

I have only been around a year, but as a member of the KBFN (and someone who will fish here for a LONG time) this does make good sense to me. My thoughts are, if someone does well enough at all the DIFFERENT places then they SHOULD be on the team. The current system, in my humble opinion, favors the guys who know the "Classic" body of water (meaning the "Ohio" this year) the best. I also understand the financial issues that are mentioned, but that is part of life. You don't HAVE to win AOY/Co-AOY to make the State Team, you can still do it the old way, it just rewards the most consistant fishermen for the year. Plus, it IS only ONE spot on the team and not like we would be leaving anyone who would otherwise make the team off. Your just making the lowest qualifier at State an alternate, thus still a member of the team.
Anyway, my vote would be YES, YES, YES to this (and Lord knows I will NEVER have to worry about winning it :).
Along the same lines, it is nice to see a REAL discussion taking place on an issue without people beating each other up or being rude to one another. Just imagine if we could transfer this type of dialogue over to politics, can you phathom how much nicer it would be and how much more respect we would all have for the people who hold office? Amazing how the members of the KBFN seem to set a standard that elected officals, making $125K - $250K/year, can't seem to follow. Nice topic and posts everyone. Take care and God Bless!
