I was just wondering how everyone feels about the Angler of the Year becoming the State teams alternate.

I've talked with several people in KBFN and mentioned to them that I would like to see the Angler of the Year...(both boater/non-boater)Be the first person on the State team every year. I feel that they have earned it and should be rewarded for their accomplishment.

Yes, this would only leave 5 spots per boater/non-boater at the State Championship, but this would also give every person two chances to make the state team.

This may even help with more participation at the qualifiers. Some people only fish until they qualify and then wait until the State Championship to fish again.

Let me know what you guys think. If you agree with me, let everyone know. If you don't agree...also let us know.

I fish the KBFN because I feel the Directors and Board members are here for the fisherman. I also believe that they would support something if the majority of the fishermen were for it.

With that being said, let us know what you guys think. Maybe if we get enough interest in this matter we could get a vote on this.
