On May 17, 2003 my son " Billy " dying in my arms a horrible death, from what the autopsy report stated was a mass assortment of drugs in his blood stream, Billy liked to party with friends but the problem was Billy was a health freak getting into shape to enlist in the Marine Corp to fight in Iraq and was a National ranked Motocross Racer and scouted by colleges to play baseball and what the coroner and police are suggesting is so beyond Billy's goals in life it's absurd. The kind of Drugs found in his system and amount would kill a Rhino and way out of character for Billy, what it would suggest is persons (Drug Dealers) made sure BIlly wouldn't survive and do it by slipping him a Mickey so Billy wouldn't realize it happen and he could do nothing about it (Murder).
Davie Police investigation of Billy's death was conducted like Amateurs and failed to follow leads and info suggesting possible foul play being the cause. Billy being an informant and assisting Law Enforcement in setting up those same Drug Dealers who killed him.One instance after a bust a direct threat was recorded in the back seat of the police car when they said they would get even with Billy this was told to me by a Davie Police officer after Billy found out of the danger and told me what happen. Billy refused to testify against them in a deposition which upset the Davie Police Drug Detectives. They told me of the threat and recording and by the time I could help my son Billy was dead and of course the Davie Police continue to deny everything about Billy and protection of Drug informants involved with Billy's death.
What to do?
The truth of Billy may never come out but the lesson learned may prevent this from ever happening again. Billy was 17 when recruited By Law Enforcement, no documentation of parent's knowledge of Billy's activity with Law Enforcement was recorded and lack of choice
for both Billy and Parents could have very well killed him. I knew something wasn't right when my husband told me he told Billy to stop being so close to these Drug Dealers Billy said" Dad I'm trying to find away to get out of it", He didn't ask get out of what, it's apparent informant activity and he was very scared.
The Drug Dealers and Police gave him the only way out DEATH. It's been two years since Billy's death and Davie Police keep excusing my requests with being disturbed and upset parent's and insist we get counseling instead of addressing the problem, no doubt 2 yrs
ago we were very upset even 6 months ago but since then we want to stop this from ever happening to another child without the parent's knowledge. The idea that the State of Florida Law Enforcement and Government place a higher value on Drug Arrest than our children is
just WRONG.
