JackEvansOnline Discussion Board

Christians and, hopefully, soon-to-be Christians.  Welcome to our Discussion Board.

I know that many of you were disappointed that we had to suspend our old board due to so much spam.  We were having so much fun presenting and defending the Gospel of Christ.  Hopefully, we have resolved that problem while maintaining ease of access for our visitors.

We encourage ALL posters to be respectful in your posts as we will have many visitors who may never post, but will read your posts in diligent search of... "For what saith the scripture?"... on any given topic.

Please be reminded that Dr. Jack Evans rarely, if ever, visits or posts comments on this board. The board is for the benefit of those who seek Bible Answers to Bible Questions. Various points of view will be given on this forum, so we encourage each of you to study and support your views
"rightly dividing the Word of Truth".   (II Timothy 2:15)

"An Open Door Of Utterance: Desktop, Laptop And BlackBerry Ministries"

" And Jesus same and spoke to them saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. [Go] therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20

"Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us, that [God would open to us a door] for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak." Colossians 4:2-4

How shall we go?

God has opened many doors of utterances, in these last days, on land, in the air, and on the sea including the internet and other technological doors of mass media. There are many opportunities available to us today, but are [you] personally going through any of those doors for His glory?

I know your church has a website and your apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers have their websites, some for honest gain and others for dishonest gain, nevetheless, there is a Christ presence even when our motives are wrong. Philippians 1:18

Again, I ask, do you have an internet pulpit to shine forth your own light before the world and the Body of Christ for the salvation of the lost and the daily exhortaion of the saints?

Remember the song we use to sing as little children?; "This little light of mine I'm going to let it shine." Well?

By now it should be a flood light at least!

When you are [Facebooking], if you are a [Facebooker], are your friends seeing your face [transforming] into the face of Jesus Christ by what you post?

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being [transformed into the same image from glory to glory], just as by the Spirit of the Lord." II Corinthians 3:17

If so, you should probably begin to see some of your "friends" disappear from your list or even rise up in anger against the anointing that dwells in you! If so, take comfort in these words:

"If you are reproached for the name of Christ, [blessed] are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God [rests upon you]. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified." I Peter 4:14

Personally, I believe God approves of [Facebook] as one way among many ways to show ourselves friendly, but not fanatically foolish and when we are doing the latter we are accountable to each other and love should motivate us to reprove, rebuke and correct each other in love.

Sometimes we might have to correct each through private e-mails rather than through public exposure, remember everybody is not spiritual. God knows. As it is written,

"A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24

Therefore, tweeter on, text on, and facebook on for the glory and dominion of the Lord. I Peter 4:10,11

The word of God is not bound to any one geographical location nor any one structual building. God is Spirit and His Anointing cannot be bound to human venues! John 4:24 cf. II Timothy 2:9

[Publicly and from house to house] has [added meaning] in these days! Acts 20:20
