JackEvansOnline Discussion Board

Christians and, hopefully, soon-to-be Christians.  Welcome to our Discussion Board.

I know that many of you were disappointed that we had to suspend our old board due to so much spam.  We were having so much fun presenting and defending the Gospel of Christ.  Hopefully, we have resolved that problem while maintaining ease of access for our visitors.

We encourage ALL posters to be respectful in your posts as we will have many visitors who may never post, but will read your posts in diligent search of... "For what saith the scripture?"... on any given topic.

Please be reminded that Dr. Jack Evans rarely, if ever, visits or posts comments on this board. The board is for the benefit of those who seek Bible Answers to Bible Questions. Various points of view will be given on this forum, so we encourage each of you to study and support your views

"The Greatest Of These"

The ["faith, hope, and Love"] theme is found in [all] of the Apostle Paul's writings, especially, when He discusses ["spiritual gifts,"] ["spiritual blessings"] or the ["riches of His grace"] which are all [synonymous terms] describing God's "INHERITANCE" in us! The Lord's "inheritance" in us is [HIS GLORY]in us!

Notice the [series of three] in the book of Ephesians:

"Therefore I also, after I heard of your [FAITH] in the Lord Jesus and your for all the saints do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers...that you may know what is the [HOPE] of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints." (Ephesians 1:15,18b)

Compare I Corinthians 13:13:

"And now abide FAITH, HOPE, LOVE, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE."

How long is FAITH, HOPE, LOVE, work together with "all spiritual blessings" or "spiritual gifts?"

In Ephesians 1:14b he testifies, "...UNTIL THE REDEMPTION OF THE PURCHASED POSSESSION..."

Compare I Corinthians 1:7,8a:

"So that you come short in [NO GIFT],eagerly waiting for [THE REVELATION] OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, who will confirm you TO THE END..."

When the REVELATION takes place the REDEMPTION will also take place!

Why is this so? So that the Body of Christ in every generation can be found "to the PRAISE OF HIS GLORY!"

Without FAITH, HOPE, AND LOVE working with "ALL SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS," or "SPIRITUAL GIFTS" we will not and cannot be found "HOLY AND WITHOUT BLAME before Him in love."

Therefore, "Pursue Love and COVET AND DESIRE spiritual gifts EARNESTLY!

Again it is written,

"To Him be GLORY IN THE CHURCH by Christ Jesus to ALL GENERATIONS, FOREVER AND EVER. Amen" (Ephesians 3:21)
