Biggs AFB, El Paso, TX

I was stationed at Biggs on two occasions: Feb 1956 - Sep 1957 assigned to the 97th Field Maintenance Squadron, 97th Bombardment Wing (Heavy), aircraft & engine mechanic on the KC-97 aircraft;

and again from Feb 1958 - July 1959 assigned to the 95th Periodic Maintenance Squadron, 95th Bombardment Wing (Heavy), aircraft & engine mechanic on the B-36J aircraft.

I had the privilege of participating in the pre-flight inspection/maintenance of the last two B-36s to ever fly: s/n 52-2827 (last one built, and its final flight was Feb, 1959 to Amon Carter Field in Fort Worth, TX for static display), and s/n 52-2220 (last one to fly, ever, in May, 1959 to Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ, and subsequently to Wright-Patterson AFB in July, 1959 for permanent display at the Air Force Museum). Anybody remember me?
