How about sweetest parts of a book?

I ask because I'm typing out A Quick Bite for my daughter to read (so I can edit out the more adult parts) and just ran across a scene that had slipped from my mind... when Thomas has Lissi to close her eyes so he can feed her with bagged blood.

And.. this one I've always loved... when Thomas draws a hot bath and has a huge breakfast sent up to Inez to apologize for walking by her at the airport, then locks the bathroom door behind him so she can have her privacy without worry.

hmmm.. sure I'll think of others but those two really stick out right now.

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

how bout when Julius took Marguerite to the train bathroom because she looked pale for not "eating" enough, then again it led to..well you know what SmileyCentral.com

or when Marguerite took the blow when whats her face was gonna chop off Christians head

or how Mabel and Teddy tried their best to find a mate for Elvi because they noticed that everyone in their age group had been hittin the dirt and they didnt want her to be alone

when all the men went with Elvi for cheesecake and a bed

when Kate offered Luc her blood because he was paler than usual. so he went and bit her in the bathroom which hurt her a bit if i remember correctly

when Thomas showed Inez that there was a more beautiful side to Amsterdam. also when he saved her by not letting her take a picture of the ladies SmileyCentral.com

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

I think my favorite sweet part was when Katie was willing to commit a felony so Lucern could have blood.

Also agree about Elvi and the cheesecake ride. And when the whole town was going to defend Elvi against big bad Lucian. Actually that whole book was filled with sweet moments. No wonder Gena loves Victor.

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

1) I loved it Leigh bailed on Victor because of headache and he brought her up water and tylonol...

2) and Leigh didn't want to take advantage of him because she thought Victor drank the drink Thomas tryed to switch....

3) or when Etienne and Rachel played his video game all night....(that is sweet to me cause hubby and used to do that while we were dating!...and still do sometimes!! )

4) and even though he felt ba for putting her in the position in the first place...when BASTEIN sat up for almost a week while Inez was recovering...he wouldn't leave her side, just to prove to Thomas how sorry he was!!

G3 of the emotional AE4!

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

Angel this is a great thread. Thanks.

G

You must mean LUCIAN. V was not in BMIYC.

Those are the ones I would choose also.
Can you say "Sweet?"

C1 of the AE4. Who must go find food or will not be able to play..

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

wow.. I agree all of those are sweet moments! And yeah, kinda thought everyone would like this thread. I've not had a chance to think on more to post... worked all day (blah)

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

When Marguerite holds baby Luciana for the very first time.
It reminded me of holding my first niece, Tabitha, for the first time. Sorta. :)

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

I loved when Bastien calmed Terri down when she upset about the catering companies dumping all that food on them. Then he called her "Baby" and "Sweetheart" and she went all gooey. Aww......

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

ohh ohh ohh
when Bastien tried to make something for Terri and ended up burning it.. but SmileyCentral.com

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

This one is for my favorite big sis.

When Lucian took Leigh shopping even though he had to make a phone call and instead allowed Etienne to do it giving up control which had to be so hard for him to do so she she could get some needed items. Aww.....

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

Aww.....

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

Angel that is so sweet re-writing the books for your daughter to read. I have 2 daughters 13 & 15 that I read my fave books to. It's hard to find common ground when your kids get to the teen years and reading together seems to give us at least a few things to talk about....lol

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

You have teenagers Joey. That must be hard.

Another aww moment. How about when Lucian and Leigh went grocery shopping and Leigh sided herself with Lucian instead of the "children" Mortimer and Bricker.
Lucian went all mushy on the inside.

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

That was just too cute

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

It's the same for us, actually. My daughter and I don't have a lot in common except that our reading taste are very similiar. Weird but my son and I are very much alike in many things. lol

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

Hmmm...

Rachel stepping in front of an ax for Etienne

Kate offering herself to Lucern at the ball, for blood girls! ;)
As well as crawling under the table to unhook him :)

Thomas drawing Inez a bubble bath (Gawds, I WISH!)

Julius fleeing down the street with Marguarite over his shoulder.

Vincent sitting beside Jackie during her turning.

Victor & Elvi...uh, just about everything he did was sweet! Well, okay, yelling at her for being outside in the burning shed did NOT score points, but when he was trying to get her 'back in bed' and the men tried to bust in.... "She needs a keeper."

"I'll keep her"

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

How bout when Lucian was looking after Leigh and he brought her "food" because she was hungry...again its the thought that counts

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

SmileyCentral.com

C1...you were the only one who got that.....

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

I like how Bastien, a freakin' work-a-holic if there ever was one pretty much made time for Terri even though he really didn't have to, and all the stuff they got to do when he took her out (even though he was "allergic to the sun") then flying to England to try to win her back.

Also... he tried to calm her fears when she was afraid of being intimate with him after so long. Good Man.

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

Yes Bastien = Sweet, Lucian=Sweet (albeit a little grumpy) and Victor=Sweet. But where does Lucern rate?

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

NO

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

Lucern = the strong, silent sexy man who doens't have to be sweet to be loving

Re: How about sweetest parts of a book?

THAT WAS toooo SmileyCentral.com sis!!!

keeping his word and still going to the conference even though they tricked him!!= very sweet!!( very chivalrous!)
