On all of the covers of the books about the Argeueau's there is a bat on them.. But A Quick Bite and Tall Dark and Hungry...
I was just wondering why there wasn't on on those two covers.. Me and my friend go to talking about it last night, and I told her about it and she told me to ask.. so thats what I am doing..

Rockie - If not mistaken, which I know the girls will keep me straight on this is that the first 3 books LB, SWV, and TD&H were through Dorchester, and since that time Lynsay has gone to another publisher Avon who switched the covers and gave us something juicy to look at which compliments the books entirely.

Stauri - Who has no clue but sure that this was discussed in a previous forum not long ago.

oh ye and also how come when the imortals cant have tattoos but 4 of the bats are tattoo? strange

actually I think that it was mentioned that before awhile ago. If I can remember I think it ws smethin with GREG being human, so they thought the bite marks with the lipstick would be sexy. It was the first book, so they really didn't have a set design yet, it wasn't until she started writing more that they decided to have a design that people would know they all belonged together.

Because then Avon asked Lynsay for possible ideas for the Enforcer books, to make those stand apart from the regular Immortals, and she opened it up to us for suggestions. But we still don't know what, if anything, has been decided by Avon for the Enforcers.

Also, in the beginning, most of us hated the bats on the Avon covers...remember We thought they were silly because our vamps had nothing to do with bats...then the bat tattoos kind of grew on us. Well, you know what they say? It's a woman's right to change her mind! And, on the forum, we still outnumber the men!

Oh, and the first three books were the three Argeneau brothers books, published by Dorchester, but Avon doesn't do "cartoon" designs. The bats on those covers were just cute, because it was cartoon. Since Dorchester did not order Lissianna's book at the same time, Lynsay wrote it out of order and published it when she switched to Avon. I think the cover art has more to do with the title of the book on that one, and a little to do with the plot...as far as vampire bite marks go.

I had not noticed that TD&H didn't have the bat...instead pictures a vamp bridegroom. Hmmm....I always thought it had a little bat somewhere like the other two Dorchester books. I should have got those glasses a long time ago. They work very well, btw!
Now I can see that the book doesn't have a bat, after all!

As far as the tattoos, seems the artists don't know our immortals can't keep a tattoo anymore than they can turn into bats! I guess they are more concerned that readers notice that it's a vampire series.

Wren the thing with TD&H....itdosn't have the bat, but i justassumed that in place of the bat they had put the vampire next to the bride, on the cake!
LB and SWV dosn't have anyone on the cover just the bat!
