Hey everyone!

Gypsy and I will be out for several days...Vicksburg and Jackson were hit by storms [lightning bolt] and tornados last Friday. No Electricity...I am temporarily hooked up to a generator because my Prince Charming loves me so much!

We are okay, although the funnel cloud went right over our house. Gypsy (Terri) saw the funnel cloud and then saw the rain going around in big circles. It came up that fast, and she was out on the porch, but quickly got inside. My cat was pacing up and down the hall. Animals just know, don't they?

Lucky it didn't dip down. We have some big nice Oak trees, and we just put on a new roof last year. We are going to have the roof checked for any damage just to be sure there are no leaks.

Most of the city/county have been without power since Friday morning. At least there were only minor injuries. Being where we are, it may be the middle of the week before we get electricity back, because our lines come from the back part of the county! Talk about icy cold showers. At least we have water, and telephone. Cable is out everywhere, so those who have their phones and internet on cable are out of luck, even if their power has been restored. I keep one of those old-fashioned princess-style corded phones just for these kinds of emergencies. Also, I can charge my cell phone in the van, and we get a good signal where we live.

We have a generator due to Hurricane Katrina (especially as my extended family evacuates to my house from the Gulf Coast for hurricanes and brings the other big generator with them) so we can keep the fridge and freezer going...and the kids can play the playstation and Wii. We live in a subdivision, but it is out in the county...so it's kind of like being in the country but close to town. Also, the weather has been cool...not cold, but not hot and humid, which is a blessing.

I finished rereading SWV using my reading light last night...Nothing stops a reread of an Argeneau book!! Just have to keep the Triple A batteries on hand! My dh bought me a large pack of them. I was reading it again because it had been awhile...and my niece is right. See the "What character are you most like thread?" I am very much like Kate! That's okay...sometimes my Prince Charming/Frog Prince is a lot like Lucern.

See you in a few days, I hope! I don't know if I'll get another chance to hook up to the generator, so it may be when we get the electricity back. Well, at least it's not due to not paying the electric bill on time. There is always a silver lining...

That is some craziness. I am glad you are all okay. Hope all that bad weather stays south of me. We are actually suppose to have some nice spring weather this week.

Gees Wren, I know the lack of electricity must have been a pain, but am glad you guys came through unscathed and that the funnel missed your house. That would have been hellacious!
