So I am done reading all 9 of the Argeneau books. I have mixed feelings about that, I am happy to have read them all but at the same time I am sad that I have read them all and I have to wait for the next one
Lynsay you are truly a gifted author! I have to say that I was a little apprehensive about reading the books after all the hype from everyone on the forum thinking what if I don't like them? silly me! They were awesome! I got so involved in them at times that it was hard to come back to reality and realize that no there were no immortals. I started reading another of your books The Perfect Wife after I finished Marguerite's book and in it the hero gets his hands burned and I thought "oh he just needs some blood and he will be fine" then I realized that no it wasn't an Argeneau book.
I can't say that I really have a favorite though. As I was reading one book that one was my favorite and then I would start the next and so on so I still don't have a clear favorite because they were all so wonderful but if I had to choose right now I would say A Quick Bite simply because it was the first, you always remember your first right?
Thank you Jodi and Acal. I too was worried about your reading them after all the hype. I mean, you know, you get the "You won't believe it, this is so awesome/cool/great/whatever" and then you get all worked up and get there and go, "Hmmmmm. Well, it's okay but not sure what all the hoopla is." So, it is a great relief to me that you weren't disappointed and did still enjoy the stories. Thank you for letting me know. I WAS worried. (Sad but true. I do care about how my babies are accepted in the world)
That's alright, I think any writer gets those sorts of concern's i'm writting a novel that I hope to get published sometime, I just worry if gets out that people will like it Even though the friends I share it with love it you just get those doubts!
Lynsay you really are my favorite author. I have never been disapointed in any of your books. And as a compliment Never have I said will I evva finish this book. I am reading one now that I feel I will never finish.
There are only a few authors that are must have's in my book. You are one!
Well currently theres one author that is starting to lose my interest and thats Laurell K Hsmiltion i thought she was great until I started reading the discussions and such then finding other authors.. like Lynsay She has a rather dull way of relaying scene descriptions and such, her sex is so boring most i'm just looking for it to end!
I'm so happy that you enjoyed them as much as all of us on the forum, but I never doubted you would, my sister!
Lynsay, You are the best author ever...and it says so on my space blog thingie...I love all of your books, and everything on this forum! And, like Linda, I only have a very few keeper authors, and YOU ARE NUMBER ONE! Sweetie, I sat up all night rereading Single White Vampire by a booklight because we didn't have any electricity...I'm not going to let a little thing like that keep me from my Lynsay books!
May you write books as long as you have ever dreamed of doing...I'll be there to read them all, and everytime one of your books hits the bestseller list...we are going to have a worldwide official forum party!
i really love every one of Lynsay's books every one is a suprise and a special story that everyone can enjoy im waiting for your next great creation and will have it on pre order as soon as its anounced
Jodi, I'm glad you were able to finally read them all. Now you never again wonder what the heck everyone is referring to! You will be one of the people answering the questions of the newbies.
Yeah Jodi no excuses. You will have to answer all my questions. The other sisters have had to put up with me and my infernal questions all this time but you can now take up the slack right?
Thank you guys, you're all awesome. And Copper, Acal's right, the next vamp comes out at the end of September. I'm working on the next one to follow that one now.
Okay everyone. We know that Mr. Spice can be bribed with cheesecake, marmite, or good ploughman's sandwich (I have been taking notes on all these things for just such a reason). So now do we know what we can use to bribe Lynsay? Anyone?
Good, good. We have 2 very dedicated volunteers. I will think of bribes. Cindy you can work on the trickery. I know you have an ace up your sleeve. Anyone else want in?
Perfection does need time.. but I do wish that publishers weren't soo slow in releasing things, one of my favourite authors has six completed books and the publishers are just sitting on them!
It was actually on this forum, that The Rogue Hunter, is not an Argeneau as the main character but an enforcer, and the enforcer is Mortimer. But who's to say that his lifemate isn't going to be one of the Argeneau girls?
I thought Lynsay had mentioned some time ago that Decker was after Mortimer. We do know that the next book "The Rogue Hunter" is Mortimer, we were looking for clues to Book 11. I'll have to find that post from Lynsay.
I know, Avon already has a triple release planned I heard.. the scottish trilogy for beginning 2009.. but it does mean 5 books next year (2 Argeneau and 3 Historical)
They are already finished and ready for printing! and 11 & 12 are already finished thats next years books all done, Lynsay is working on the releases for 2010 now
Christian also plays hard rock fiddle, lol. And yes Notte is Italian for night and as the prevailing genes in that family are dark with midnight black hair and silver-black eyes and as the Romans gave names based on such identifying features like Argentis or Argenteus for silver (the Argeneaus are noted for having silver eyes) they gained the name Notte. That’s where their name originates.
As for how many more, that depends on you guys. Right now I’m contracted for four more after Vampire, Interrupted and Mortimer’s is the first of those four. But I certainly have the ideas for more. It just depends on if you want them and the publisher is willing to pub them.
Will Christian get a story? Very likely. He’s been talking to me. Bricker I’m not sure on, though it’s possible. Pimms, who was barely mentioned in Bite Me If You Can but is one of the enforcers (he works with Anders) pops up again in Mortimer’s story, but in the flesh. You get to meet him and find out his full name . . .I am so tempted to tell it to you here. Actually, I will. You guys are great to me so I’ll let you in on the secret. He is Decker Argeneau Pimms, can you guess who his mother is? LOL.
Anyway, he might get his own story too. There are other secondary characters who will pop up again and may get their stories told; people like Mirabeau (She HAS met her lifemate), Jeanne Louise (she started talking to me at one point, but then took a powder so we will have to see with her) the twins Dante and Tomasso have been hanging around. And do you remember Stephano Notte? Vincent’s mortal vice-president who was attacked in A Bite To Remember? He came around once or twice, but he’s kind of in this sulky, whiney, “I never wanted to be a vampire phase” and I found him totally irritating and sent him away until he deals with it and stops crying about what was taken from him and realizes what he’s gained. I know it’s really all about control issues. The choice was taken away and blah, blah, blah but gees, get over it. You’re alive. I don’t know. I think he needs some gal to come kick his butt, but frankly, I’m not in the mood to deal with him at the moment.
Oh, gees, sorry, must be way late now (hmm, it's after 4 A.M. here though this will post three years earlier cause Bravenet is on the other end of the country) and I’m RAMBLING again, lol.
Anyway, there will be at least four more after this.
Lynsay, off to bed
Oh but wait, theres more back from when I posted the Find Your Favorite Argeneau
Re: Find your favorite Argeneau
Oh myyyyy.
Lynsay refraining from comment because Mr. Spice is obviously the most handsome man in the world in her eyes and so this fellow must be just . . . er. . . dog meat or something. But hmmm, I think Decker (Lucian's nephew and the next character I'm playing with and NOT in St. Lucia--the St. Lucia story is pushed back) is finally taking form in my head. Dog meat Decker. Yep. Uh huh, dancing around in my head now. Uh huh. Thanks for the inspiration
Maybe -who knows!!!
Lynsay? Mr. Spice? Begging for more information here, do I need to start the Cheesecake barrage now?
