So, I belong to the Science Fiction Book Club (which also sells a lot of fantasy titles) and I noticed in the last flyer that they had some vampire books available by other authors. I just checked their website and they have The Accidental Vampire for $12.99. It doesn't look like they have any of the other titles but I wonder if we write to them if they will try to acquire the rights for the others?

How much do they cost and can you order for an acquaintance? I've decide to get the one's I can in hardback and still need TAV, VI and BMIYC. I'm keeping an eye on Ebay for them and will check a copule of other places online, too. But just incase....

Well, I just found a copy of Bite Me If You Can hardcover at The Strand in New York for $6.50!!! I am SO hoping that they don't contact me and say "We Can't seem to find that book anymore". That one is selling for boucoup money at other places and it's the only one I haven't been able to find yet. Here's hoping....

Yeah, it is a bookstore in New York that is online, also. I should know if a couple of days whether they actually came up with the book.

Well, bad news. The contacted me today to let me know they haven't found the book but will keep it on my want list for 60 days in case they do find it.

I just don't like hardcovers, they are heavy and the cover can just easily fall off.. seeing as they are only slip covers.. and they are the price of 2/3 and sometimes 4 books

If and when I buy the hardcovers, I get them used at a deeply discounted price. I can't afford to pay the retail price for them.

Me too Denise. I rarely buy them mainly because, and this my confession, I bend my books nearly in half when I read them and you can't do that with Hardcover.

Aack!! Sacrilege, Jill. You can't treat books like that!!!! My sister always comments that the books I let her borrow look like they've never been read and I assure her I've read them.

BTW, I now have all the hardbacks. Bite Me If You Can was on Ebay this past week and I WON it!. Only a little over $7 including shipping. Yipee! Now I have two copies of the mass markets of all of the Argeneaus and hardback of those that are available. (doin' a happy dance)
