Lynsay, Dave or anyone else who might know.....
Can someone explain to me how the lists can come out and the books are rated according to their sales when places like the "BOOKS-A-MILLION" next to me, just called me 1 hour ago to tell me 
"that they just got their shipment of VI in, if I would like to come and pick it up."
A close friend of mine,is a manger there and he said that it wasn't even available to order online until Yestaurday!

Same problem here...I got in two orders of Vampires Are Forever at the wrong time (one before the release date, one after the bestseller counts...and I was only supposed to have one order total.
)I'm still waiting for my Vampire, Interrupted order. Bookland is owned by Books-A-Million. Are any of the other big chains having this problem? I think my order is supposed to be here on March 12th...that is three books that didn't go in on the count. They are pre-ordered but not purchased ahead of time. Good thing I picked up the two I saw in Wal-Mart on the release day...but those were for me & Jodi!
The three coming in are gifts for others...when you start "turning" so many family and friends, they all want the next book for their birthdays, etc...which would be a great thing if the books were in the stores at the right time!

I guess I am lucky. Borders had it in on time. I went in, picked up my copy then at 7PM they call to tell me it is in.
Go figure. Told the manager that her people need to call the night before. I am there when the door opens. Also suggested they have a midnight release.
We told her people would be out in droves, Just like a HP release. ONLY BETTER

I had a wait a day but I order my online through Amazon and they said they shipped it Feb 26th on the release date.
Same thing happend with VAF.
