Hey, Froggie...

SmileyCentral.com
I almost checked out "Yours, Mine, and Ours" the original at Blockbuster the Friday night. I like the older, original movies most of the time, and that is an all time favorite!

Also, I had forgotten about the S.E.Hinton books...those were great. Bringing back some memories, there.

Welcome to the fabulous fun forum...and thanks for filling out the "getting to know you." See, you never know what you will find out you have in common with others! Hope you inspire some of the others to fill it out, too!

Re: Hey, Froggie...

Yours Mine and Ours is a good film But I always forget who the female role is. Is it Maureen Ohara or Lucille Ball? Some reason I keep seeing a red head in it.

Re: Hey, Froggie...

Re: Hey, Froggie...

Oh yeah thats a great movie... gotta love Lucy... LOL...

Oh yeah and Susie Hinton was a my idol in high school... I got to meet her at a writer's conference when I was 16... after that I wanted to be her... LOL... she inspired me!

Re: Hey, Froggie...

I love the "Outsiders" only book I read by S.E. Hinton(who incidently I didn't know was a woman, shows how much I know ) but what are her other books?

Re: Hey, Froggie...

One is "That Was Then, This Is Now" or something like that...maybe Froggie's memory is better than mine. I just remember it was good, but sad, like The Outsiders.

Re: Hey, Froggie...

The Outsiders
Rumble Fish
That was Then, This is Now
Tex
Taming the Star Runner
Hawks Harbor
Tim's Stories
Big David, Little David
The Puppy Sister

Re: Hey, Froggie...

is there any particular order that I should read them?

Re: Hey, Froggie...

The first five are her teen series and are in order... the next one is a stand alone and is an adult story... the last two are childrens books... Tim's Stories is different it's sort of biographical in nature about her life experiences and those of family... at least that's what I got out of it...
