Family Tree

On the family tree it has right at the top Alexandria and Rameses. Who were they? If they have been mentioned in one of the novels could somebody tell me which one so I can find out?

Re: Family Tree

They're the parents, Acal. Lucian and Jean Claude and the rest of the brood's mom and dad. I don't think they've been mentioned by name yet.

Re: Family Tree

Ok thanks Can't wait to find out who they are. Did you intend to name him Rameses?

Re: Family Tree

Actually it's Ramses. Which is very old and can mean son of the sun, or sun born. Ramses and Alexandria were born mortal and were two of the first test subjects for the nanos in Atlantis. They mated and had Lucian and Jean Claude, Martine, Victor, Armand and the others. Yes there are others you've not yet met. Alexandria and Ramses were together nearly 1600 years before they died. You can have a child every 100 years NOW, but that rule wasn't always in place. Even if they had only had one child every hundred years that would be 16 before they died. They had more than that, but not all survived to modern times. Still, there are definitely more than the ones you've met.

Hmm, I need to shut up now. Should't post when it's so late. By the way, the website family tree came from one of the copies sent to us. I scanned it before scribbling corrections on it and sending it back. If anyone knows some sort of program to build a family tree let us know.

Lynsay, back to work and not checking again tonight. I swear. No more dallying. BAD LYNSAY!!

P.S. Before I forget AGAIN!!! Wren, your fairy IS ADORABLE. She's lovely. I've been meaning to say that and keep forgetting.

Re: Family Tree

Thank you, Lynsay!

The fairy site is like playing with electronic paper-dolls...we have had so much fun. The one I sent to you was made to look like me, about 40 pounds ago and twenty years ago. Also, Violet is only about 5 inches tall. Sorry, I would convert to metric like the rest of the world...but it's too early in the morning to think about it.

GypsyCharm & I have had a blast playing on that site, just making different fairies and decorating their little homes. Like Vicky, my sister Terri is a Tinkerbelle fan and has been for many years. In fact, Heather is complaining that she is "drowning" in Tinkerbelle stuff in her mother's room. (Terri has a lot of Tink collectables.) We have to get her room finished so we can re-arrange everyone. I wouldn't want anyone to be lost due to "pixie-dust."
Although, in my house, you are more likely to be eaten by a dust-bunny! The frog prince...that would be dh...says that I didn't come with instructions on how to dust or vacuum when we married. Lucky for him, Terri got most of the "tidy gene" from our mom, and is slowly catching things up. He better be good to her, because she makes a great house-elf, hmmm, house-pixie

wren ...I'll have to make an Argeneau fairy...maybe I'll start with Lissianna

Re: Family Tree

Wren

That would be interesting to see.
keep me posted on that project

And you they give you several print options.
There are others but they are mostly for finding your family. But since they all travel with you, LOL you dont need to dig'um up.

Re: Family Tree

Thanks Lynsay! I was wondering about it because that was around the same time as Pharoah Rameses II I think I'll have to check the date to be sure though and the other thing was Darius, Persian Emperor Darius I was just wondering if you had intended them to be likened to the historical figures.

Thanks for clearing that up

Re: Family Tree

Hey Lynsay, I was just reading the earlier post you made to Acal and I was wondering if maybe I am reading too much into this but, will we be seeing any new Argeneaus that are not listed on the family tree?

That was interesting question Acal. When I first saw the family tree I had wondered that myself.

Re: Family Tree

I can answer both of these questions since mrs spice currently is trying to get the final corrections done for...

Oops! I nearly wrote one of the possible titles there. I really must be more careful. She's doing the final corrections for Argeneau 11.

Yes, there will be new characters, along with a possible diversion away from the immediate family members. They will all still be around, but not always as the central focus of the stories.

The character names aren't meant to refer to specific historical figures - Many historical names that have some specific significance to us today were actually very commonplace during their contemporary era. You'll find that in years gone by there were far fewer different names around in the population than there are today, which means a much more limited choice when naming ancient characters.

Besides which, I don't really think anyone would take it seriously if the founding couple of the Argeneau empire could be referred to as Brangelina.

Re: Family Tree

Yeah I get what your saying, in the period of sun religions Rameses would be a quite popular name.

Re: Family Tree

Mr. Spice you are bad. You know you want to tells the new title.

Hey Acal, you might find interesting the thread about Why Lynsay chose Atlantis for the birth place of her immortals. There is lots of good insight from Dave and the other girls there.
