Im a romance book junkie but the problem is when im at the store i just usually stand in front of the romance section and conteplate on what to buy because theres so many that sounds good it takes me forever to decide which one to buy so here i am asking for advice on what good books are out there.
And while im at it i'll recomend a 'few' authors i think are awesome as well...

Janet Evanovich: Stephanie Plum series 1-13, Full series,
Jenny Crusie: Agnes and the hitman, bet me, faking it,

Lori foster: winston brothers, say no to joe?, secret life of brian, when bruce met cyn, just a hint clint, jamie, judes law, murphys law, causing havoc, simon says, hard to handle......etc
Lucy Monroe: Ready, Willing, And Able

Kat Martin: Necklace series
Susan Andersen: Marine series
Susan Mallery: Buchanan series, Hometown Heartbreakers, Marcelli series
Donna Kauffman: sleeping with beauty, dear prince charming, cinderella rules, the black sheep and the princess, the black sheep and the hidden beauty, some anthologies
Karen Robards: Whispers at midnight, midnight moon, beachcomber, bait, to trust a stranger...(im not done reading her books yet)
Marcia Evanick: a very merry christmas, a misty harbor wedding, blue berry hill, deck the halls, harbor nights, also two which are out of print and very hard to find are Christmas on Conrad street and Catch of the day
Christine Rimmer: Sons of Caitlin Bravo series
Also some Harlequin Duets even though they stoped around 2003 i think

im sure theres more books and authors but i cant come up with them right now..so heres where i get my romantic comedy fix since lynsay can only write so much Argenue books at a time

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

I am a bit of a romance book junkie as well! I have quite a few favourite authors as well! I tend to read paranormal romances, suspense and some urban fantasy.

Apart from Lynsay who is an auto buy for me here are a few series that i recommend

Keri Arthur - Riley Jenson Guardian Series is good!
Sherrilyn Kenyon- Dark Hunter Series. The Earlier books are the best.
Kerrelyn Sparks - Love at Stake series. (This is my fix when waiting for lynsay's books to come out!)
Nora Roberts / J.D Robb - Her trilogies are very good and the in death series is fantastic. Start with Naked in Death though.
Cindy Gerard - Good Romance/suspense books
Marliss Melton - Very similar to cindy gerard
Nalini Singh - psy/changeling Series is one of the best out there.

I could go on and on..... I am just a bit brain dead today and can't think of them all!

Hope this helps.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

i prefer romance books with the babies in them they just seem better

the tycoon's instant family by Caroline Anderson
the royal house of niroli series
Macallister's baby by Julie Cohen
the Mediterranean billionaire's secret baby by diana hamilton
the Italian prince's pregnant bride by Sandra marton

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Hmm, I love a lot of books but romance is my favourite too.

Carly Phillip - Costas Sisters Series and Seduce Me
Sophie Kinsella - Shopaholic Series, Can You Keep a Secret?
JK Rowling - Harry Potter
and many more... These are my favourite though with the Argeneau series, of course.

Try the Carly Phillip books. I hope you enjoy them!

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Shaashaine, I am a romance junkie aswell. Johanna Lindsey, Canadace Camp, Nora Roberts, Susan Mallery, Julia Quinn, Victoria Alexander, Linda Lael Miller, Kerri Arthur & Sherrilyn Kenyon are some of my favorites I could name some more but that would be a really long list.

P.S the last two are paranormal romance.

Jodi

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Aside from Lynsay my favorite authors are:
Lori Foster
Vicki Lewis Thompson
Julia Quinn
Debra Mullins
Betty Neels
Lorraine Heath
Linda Needham
Victoria Alexander
Nicole Jordan
Kathleen E. Woodiwiss

Thanks guys i will definetly look into those. and vivian as for carly philips, i've read the costas sister (loved the "pin the heart on orlando bloom" game ) but i'll look into the other book and i think the chandler brothers or sumthin by her

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

I tend to favor books that are part of a series. I suppose that is because if they are written right, you never want them to end. When family members and friends show up in one couples' romance it is nice to know that they will later get their own story. So of course Lynsay's Argeneau series receives top marks but I do have a few other favorites.

- Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series. Bk. 1, The Duke and I. Historical romance. There are eight books in the series all about siblings who are named alphabetically in order of their age. Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth. Some very humourous moments, very believable characters. Lighthearted, will give you the warm fuzzies.

- Stephanie Laurens' Cynster series. Historical romance. I believe the first book is Devil's Bride. Very sensual, descriptive love scenes. All about the same family for the most part (brothers, sisters, cousins, etc) but later books have included secondary characters like friends of the family or the brother or sister of the main characters in other books. Usually a mystery of some kind to solve in the books but the love story takes precedence.

- Stephanie Laurens' Bastion series. Bk. 1, The Lady Chosen. (Captain Jack's Woman could be considered the first in this series because the characters show up in some of the other books but it was written about 6 years before and was considered an independent book until she started this series) Historical romance. Very similar to the Cynster series except the main characters are all ex-spies who have returned home after the war and need to marry and produce an heir. They form a club to meet and share information about how to negotiate the unfamiliar waters of the ton. There is a mysterious nobleman named Dariel who they dealt with when they were spies who shows up in each book. Seems to be a high-ranking nobleman but noone has figured out his identity. Each book has some kind of intrigue where the male lead uses his previous background (spy) to good advantage.

- Lisa Klepas' Wallflower Quartet. Bk. 1 is Secrets of a Summer Night. Historical romance. Four girls band together to try and win themselves husbands. Two of them are Americans trying to use their wealth to win a titled husband, one is an impoverished Englishwoman trying to hide her lack of funds, and the other is a shy heiress who stutters. The characters quickly grow upon you and all four books are great.

- Nora Roberts: The Chesapeake Series (Inner Harbor, Sea Swept, Rising Tides, Chesapeake Blue). Contemporary romance. First three books are about three brothers who end up raising a young boy who may be their illigetimate half-brother. Chesapeake Blue is the love story of that young boy after he reaches adulthood. One of my very favorite sets by Nora Roberts.

Also any books about the MacGregors also written by Nora Roberts. I love, love, love these books. I think they were written back in the 80's (they were contemporary then!) but they have been republished over and over again. Playing the Odds was the first book I believe. There are some that are prequels where they go back and give us the love story of older characters. The patriarch in the family, Daniel Macgregory likes to play matchmaker for his children and then his grandchildren. With each success he becomes more sure that he knows best, and he usually does!

I could write down many more but I'm tired.

Kimberly

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

So Daniel Macgregory is like Marguerite Argenue I like it thanks

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Oops, I misspelt it. It's MacGregor, without the y.

I checked and it looks like most of the books in this series have been reissued with two of each previous book packaged together. The first to read would be this one:

The MacGregors: Serena ~ Caine: Playing The OddsTempting Fate

Other ones in the series would be:

The MacGregors: Alan & Grant: All The PossibilitiesOne Man's Art

Then there are The MacGregor Brides (three stories of Daniel MacGregors grandaughters) and then The MacGregor Grooms (the grandsons)

The MacGregors: Robert & Cybil: The Winning HandThe Perfect Neighbor

The MacGregors: Alan & Grant: All The PossibilitiesOne Man's Art

This one is Daniel's story (the matchmaker himself):

The MacGregors: Daniel & Ian: For Now, ForeverIn From The Cold

I think that is all of them. Playing the Odds is one of my favorites along with The Winning Hand but all of them are terrific!

Kimberly

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Kim- I've read all of the MacGregor books and I loved them all. Did you read the Circle Trilogy? she did an awesome job on those.

Jodi

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Actually Jodi, I have looked at those books and passed them over a couple of times. Why? I'm not really sure. I have read most of Nora Roberts' books (but never her In Death series published as J.D. Robb) but for some reason these didn't reach and grab me. Maybe it's the fault of the cover art or the summary on the back or whatever. Sometimes I find myself doing that, passing something over because it just doesn't appeal to me at the time. Later I might go back to it and absolutely love it. *shrug*

Have you ever read Blue Smoke by Nora? That is one of my favorite stand-alone novels by her. The Lifetime channel made a movie of that one, plus 3 others. It was okay but it couldn't match the actual book.

Kim

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Kim- I have read Blue Smoke and really liked it but I didn't care for the movie. The others are at the movie store but I haven't seen them. I don't know if I really have one favorite book by her but I really liked the Irish trilogy, Three Sisters Island trilogy and The Key trilogy. I haven't read any of her books under J.D. Robb either.

I do the same thing with books and when I finally do read them I wonder why I took so long, it is funny how sometimes all it takes is the cover of the book to turn you off

Jodi

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Sometimes it's not the cover but just what you happen to be in the mood for. I used to only read fantasty, some sci-fi, and a romance now and again. Do you remember the Loveswept series? It was sort of like Silouette but very light-hearted romantic comedies. Kay Hooper and Iris Johansen (if my memory is correct) had some of their very first books published in this line. Anyway, those were the only romance novels that I liked way back when.

Lately, I find myself enjoying romantic suspense/intrigue. I still like a great love story but it's nice to try and solve mysteries too. Like Lynsay's "Who's the mommy?" I've been reading a lot of Iris Johansen. Also, I've read some of Catherine Coulter's books but frankly, I'm surprised that with her success she doesn't do a better job with the dialogue.

You would think an editor would point out the areas where the dialogue grows very stilted and awkard. It's hard to describe other than to say that some moments read like very nervous schoolchildren on stage for their first play. Kind of a "he said..., she said...he said..." There is a decided lack of adverbs and adjectives or any decriptive measures. Kind of the difference between "What do you mean by that? Kim asked." and "Kim suddenly turned to him and with a shocked look in her eyes asked anxiously 'What do you mean by that?'"

It's very odd that she still has moments like that with so many books already written. I would expect stuff like that in her first book or two but not her later works. The plot of the story is well put together and draws the reader in enough that I sometimes overlook how poor the dialogue is in some spots. Wouldn't you think her editor would point out the problems so that she can fix them? We should ask Lynsay if whoever proofreads her stuff is blunt enough to point out what doesn't work or needs improvement.

Kim

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

I didn't want to admitt this but I have very strange tasts!

I love lynsay books because they give me something light to read.

I like J.R. Ward ( i don't ven know why, they kind of took s really wierd turn in the last book!***anyone who reads them will know what i mean, but i can't elberate with youngsters reading these****( SORRY GIRLS< MY BELIEFS WONT LET ME!) and still i am hooked, but my true passion is:

EDGER ALLEN POE, Raven to one in paradise are my favs.

SHAKESPEAR (from when I lived in England my parentsa knew i liked his works, so they took me to his cottage, and the rose theater)

and ANNE RICE, "The sleeping beauty trilogy" was intence, and a very intresting take on the human psychy! (PS_> DON"T LET THE NAME FULL YOU! ITS NO FAIRTALE!)
and "the witching hour" (loved it!)
but after watching Interview with a vampie, I wont read her vampire books, way to dark, (even for me!)

SO THAT ME!

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Stephenie Meyer is the writer responsible for getting me into the whole paranormal romance genre with her Twilight series. I'm thrilled a movie is being made of the first book (but not by some of the actors... phooey). Its categorized as a 'teen' story but a lot of adults love it too. I say this because I know a lot of people are quick to dismiss something that might not be in their 'age group' and this story definitely deserves a read!

Rachel Vincent is another. In fact, the second book of her Stray series (titled Rogue) is coming out this week too so I'm grabbing it when I buy Vampire Interrupted.

Susan Elizabeth Phillips and her series of stories surrounding the Chicago Stars (football). I LOVE her characters' personalities. My only tiny annoyance is (and I hate to say anything negative because I DO love her) she includes side stories of minor characters involved in the main characters lives. Some people might not mind, but I'd rather read about the football players love life than his mothers. LMAO.

Deirdre Martin. I bought her book Chasing Stanley because it centered around a dog, not really paying attention that it was about a hockey player. I don't know ANYthing about hockey but she didn't make me feel like I didn't. You know how some writers wil launch into something so suddenly and sometimes leaves you wondering what the heck is this or that? She doesn't do that.

Thats my complaint with a lot of stories in the paranormal genre. Hey lets add a glossary to the front of the book explaining what everything is! No. I skip past those books. I want to buy a book to read it, not study it.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Gena,We have some of the same tastes.

I have JR Ward her complete series. Huge fan of Shakespeare-Favorite play is Hamlet then a tie between Much Ado About Nothing and Twelth Night.

I have read the first in the Sleeping Beauty series, but it was a little too intense for me. I like Catherine Coulter for a while but like Kim said they started to seem a little juvenile.

I also like Nina Bangs she does a lot of paranormal romances with humor too. I also like Kresley Cole. She is pretty good too. She does both paranormal and some historicals. She pretty funny too.

Sabrina Jeffries is pretty good. She has a good sense of humor in her books. Mostly historical romances though.

I also like historical novels (sorry non romance) by Thomas Fleming. His novels are mainly war novels though.

The only other author filling my book shelves is Jasper Fforde. His Thursday Next and Jack Sprat series are Monty Python funny.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Kelley Armstrong, 8 Books in her series Women of the Otherworld (Elena = Werewolf, 1,2,6 Paige = Witch 3,4 Eve = Ghost was Dark Witch 5 Jamie = Necromancer 7 Hope = Chaos Half-Demon. Book 8 is out 24th of March I think)

She also has a action/spy series That has one book at current but another set for this year.

Also shes releasing a third series that has one book ready for publication and another in for editing. Similar to her Otherworld series, no information is availible yet.

Kerri Arthur, 5 Books in her Riley Jenson series. (Book 6 in April) Shes half werewolf, half vampire. And works for the supernatural police force the Protectorate which is mostly vampires.

Her Nikki and Michael series (4 Books, currently nothing coming), Nikki is a psychic PI and Michael is a 400 year old vampire who works for a secret organisation called the Damask Circle which is made up of witches, shapeshifters and other vampires.

Her Damask Circle seires, it focuses on three of the Damask Circle's agents and its set before the Nikki and Michael series. 1st Book is focused on a hawk shifter named Jon. I can't remember the rest as by brain is all clogged from my flu.

Carrie Vaughn, Her Kitty series 4 Books (Next one this year sometime) Kitty is a werewolf who DJ's a supernatural helpline at her radio station in Denver she's pushed out of the city as her abusive pack leader banishes her and kills her friend.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

I like Kelley Armstrong'S Otherworld series, too, anxiously waiting for another.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

I'm a real romance junkie myself too. I actually live in a big old house so it's easy for me to find old books and authors to read. I have numerous books from the early 1900's and some even into the late 1800's.

One of my favorite authors and a lady well before my time is Georgette Heyer. These were my grandmother's romance books and she said it would be you know what before she got rid of Heyer's books. Although I secretly stole a number of them before we got rid of bags full of romance novels laying around in the early to mid 90s'. That was before I read these kinds of books. So if we got rid of any of her books in that group then it was by accident.

My favorite book by Georgette is Beauvallet. Granted she didn't write a lot of love scenes but her style of writing is like none I've ever seen and she paint's you a beautiful world everytime you read one of her books. Her characters are vivid and it's definately a sweet kind of romance.

Other books .. I own every single book Anne Rice has ever written as far as her vampires and her witches go. I haven't read them in a while however and at some point would like to start over. I of course own the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy as well. I leased my books to my friend Sabrina and her fiance Dave said he opened the one book and was traumatized for the rest of his life. I told him it builds character.

I discovered Kresley Cole about two months back and now I'm collecting her Immortals after Dark series.

Barb & J.C. Hendee. I own all of their Dhampire series except the last book because it is only in hardcover right now (brand new) and I want it in softcover to match the rest of my collection.

Elaine Bergstrom and her Austra vampires. I own all of her books as well and read them all over a 3 month period. My favorite character is actually Laurence Austra.

I like vampire's a lot so when I get books like Lynsay's, Bergstrom's, Hendee's, and Rice's I go through them as quick as I can, and I buy as many as I can in bulk after I've read the first book I purchase.

While I was vacationing out in Los Angeles I discovered Sharon Shinn and I'm halfway through collecting all of her angel series.

Last but not least. I read a lot of Japanese anime. Hideyuki Kikuchi and his Vampire Hunter D books. There are 18 I believe in Japan. We're up to 9 in the U.S.? I'm only at 5. I have many more various books. I'd like to try the Highlander Series. Sabrina would like me to read her Laurell Hamilton books but I haven't gotten that far as I have other obligations first.

My policy is simple. You can never have too many books.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Well right now I have too many books I just don't have the room I have four massive piles of books and DVDs on my floor of my room because I got no room to put them anywhere else!

I also forgot to mention in my earlier post that I just love Laurell K Hamiltion. I have all of her books, I recently finished her Anita Blake series can't wait for June for Blood Noir. And I also have all of her Meredith Gentry books that i'll be reading after i'm done with the Argenaus series

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

So I went to the flea market today to see what books I could find and guess what I found, Kelly Armstrong's book Bitten so I bought that and I also found Christine Feehan's Dark Challenge and Dark Guardian and Hanna Howell's A Stockingful of Joy. Unfortunately none of Lynsay's books but I will try these out while I wait for Wren's box with my Lynsay books

Jodi

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

wren always have been an avid reader!

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Hey Kim,

Lisa Kleypas has a new one, Mine Till Midnight, a spin-off from the Wallflowers. It has Cam Rohan from Jenner's as the hero. If you haven't read it yet, it is very good.

wren

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Wren- I have the Lisa Kleypas-Mine Till Midnight, I haven't read it though and this would be the first book by her I have.

Jodi

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

(Oops, posted this on the wrong topic earlier.)

Someone mentioned that they read the Kerrelyn Sparks "Love at Stake" series. I love that one, too. I also highly recommend Susan Sizemore's "Primes" series.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Hey everyone thanks for all the good recommendations. I may not have the room but I am definetly getting more books. Christine Feehan and Kelly Armstrong pretty good. Kelly Armstrong has a series? What is the name of the first book in the series?

J4- Who has one shelf left in her book case.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

I'm thinking Bitten is the first one... yes, and here's the website url where you can find the list.

http://www.kelleyarmstrong.com/mSeries.htm

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

ooh thanks that will help

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Wren- Just finished Lisa Kleypas' Mine Till Midnight, what a great book, now I have a new author to try and find

Jodi

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Jodi,

Lisa Kleypas' historical books are so good. I haven't read her contemporaries. There are four books in the Wallflower series. The first one is called "Secrets of a Summer Night."

I'll start looking around, and put her on your author list. After all, it's about five months until our next Lynsay book, so I have to have something to put in the next book box with it!

wren

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

The book i'm just dying to read is Bastien's book but I just found out the blasted public holiday on the day the book is supposed to get into the store. Public holiday = no delivery which = an EXTRA week!!

Right now though Lynsay is second on my favourite authors list

Kelley Armstrong
Lynsay Sands
Kerri Arthur
Matthew Riley (non-paranormal, action books)
Carrie Vaughn
Laurell K Hamiliton (I dont like her over description of scenes, it clogs up the flow.)

I dont know if i'll do it but I might consider looking into Kim Harrison or Lori Handeland once I run out of books to read.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Wren- Thanks I'll have to send you a list.

Acal- I've read Lori Handeland she is really good too. my favorite by her is Midnight Moon, mind you I have only been able to get 3 of her books.

Jodi

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

I was into Laurall K Hamilton for a while now I'm into Christine Feehan, Kim Harrison, Sherrilyn Kenyon, and Lynsay of course!

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

I tried to read all the posts and I still couldn't find anyone liking of one of my favourite writers (which makes me think that I'm the only Buffy fan in here)namely Candace Havens and her Charmed series.

I also like Charlaine Harris and her Harper Connelly series (I also read Sookie Stackhouse series but that I can wait until paperbacks come out.)

Also Michelle Bardsley has a vampire series (if 2 books and third to come counted as series).

Hilarious vampire books come from Gerry Bartlett (Real Vampires Have Curves, etc.), Kimberly Raye (Dead End Dating, etc.) and of course MJ Davidson (Undead series)

And if you like other paranormals too (like psychic and/or witches) check out Victoria Laurie and Patricia Rice (Magic series, latest was Magic Man).

And I have written this earlier but I will still say it again; I would like Christine Feehan's Drake sisters books but I can't stand the tooooooo long sex scenes.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

heli...I am reading the Kimberly Raye (Dead End Dating, etc.) series right now, it is relly funny.

Also I can't remember who wrote it but I read one called..."I'M THE VAMPIRE THATS WHY!" it was really cute. but i think it was a rndom book, i don't believe it was series, ifanyone knows please let me know!
G3 (who is really curious!)

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

I'm the Vampire, That's Why by Michele Bardsley
followed by Don't Talk Back To Your Vampire

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Oh, and Heli, I tend to skip through those Feehan scenes pretty quickly but I am so hooked on the stories.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Next June there will be third vampire book from Michele Bardsley, namely "Because your vampire said so". So at least then it would count as series, wouldn't it?

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

thanks!
G3

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

ohhh boy now you've done it--you've made me get out my list!

Johanna Lindsey: Anything--but I prefer above all her Malory series (and oh god the older ones were waaaay better)

Katie MacAlister: Anything and EVERYTHING

MaryJanice Davidson: The Besty series ;D

Galen Foley: Accession trilogy

Stephanie Meyer: Twilight series (squee!!)

and a lot more that I am much to tired to list right now

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Ashley- I Love Johanna Lindsey. I only need one more to have all the Malory series up to date. I have been reading them as I get them and then I will start at the begining.

Jodi

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

I like ...these are the ones that I have all of their books and still read over and over:
Johanna Lyndsay
Amanda Quick
Mary Balogh
Lucy Monroe
Gale Gallen
Hannah Howell
Cheryl Holt
Julie Garwood..historicals and contemporaries
Catherine Coulter..Historical and Contemporaries
Gaelen Foley
Brenda Joyce..altho not happy with her last book..the Dark one
Lisa Kleypas...I think she does good Historicals but don't care for her Contemporaries much
Connie Mason..One of the first Historical Authors I read
Cathy Maxwell
Margeret Moore
Julia Quinn
Kat Martin..Historical and Contemporaries
Elizabeth Thorton
There are more but can't think of their names off of my head.
My favorite is of course Lynsay...I love the humor she puts in her books....I just started reading her Vamp books and like them but still enjoy her Historicals the best

I have 7 floor to ceiling bookcases in my walk-in closet(I would have more but do need room to hang a few clothes ) Oh and I have a half case in my bedroom....and the case in my Great room holds my hardbacks We plan on getting a wallbed in our guest room so we can put more cases up for mine and Hubby's books...he only needs a couple. I eould really like to knock a wall out off of my bedroom for a library but hubby vetoed that

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

Kelli,

I love Kresley Cole. I have her Immortals series and I waiting on the next 2 installments and it is driving me crazy. I also have 2 of her historicals that really like too.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

i also just started reading AMANDA ASHLEY
her vampires are intresting. She works of the torturd sole angle, and you feel the love, but she dosn't go into to much detail about the actual act!
its something altogether different from what i am used to.

Re: fav authors..other than lynsay of course

so I am reading Victoria Alexander's The Perfect Wife and having a bit of a hard time getting into the story, I don't know if it is because I am back at work and have more going on with having my hubby home or what. Has anyone else read this book?

I don't recognize the name. I am assuming she is a romance writer. Does she do series?
