No early copies to report, yet...

No book at my store yet. They are doing it right this time, I guess. Here's hoping VI hits higher than VAF!!

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Here it is in the back. Just waiting to be put out and devoured. They are being true to form not putting them on the shelf yet.

Hey G3 getting ready to orb there????

C1

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

C1 & G3, pick me up on the way. Denise, you want to catch a ride...Gena is great at orbing

Here is to Vampire, Interrupted hitting NYT #1! It seems only right that it should be Marguerite's book, don't you think?

wren

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

I feel sure VI is going to be number one . I am glad they are doing it right this time, not putting it out early. Although all the waiting seems a little painful, the finish product will be well worth it.

I can't wait until I get my notification that it has been shipped.

J4-Waiting patiently

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

I am resting my orbs! (and got a tune up...you know every 3,000 orbs and all!) I should be ready to go.....and it will be smooth sailing.

It should totally M's book that makes it to #1!! it would be so fitting, and you know if that happens we are going to party like its 1999.(ooops!SmileyCentral.comshowing my age!)

G3 of AE4! (who knows we have to wait to make it count for lynsay, but who secretly wants VI to come out early!! SORRY! being my bratty little baby self again!SmileyCentral.com)

PS-> slightly off topic, but shouldn't we call ourselves AE5 now.....Lynsay has said she is our leader, since she started this!!!

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Sure, I'll hitch a ride. I've never orbed before and it should be fun! But now I have that blasted song stuck in my brain, thank you very much Gena...

"they say two thousand zero zero party over,
Oops out of time
So tonight Im gonna party like its 1999..."

Denise, waiting (but NOT patiently)

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

I lied I am not waiting patiently.

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

OOOOH OOOOOHHH !!!

"I was dreamin' when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray. But when I woke up this morning could have sworn it was judgement day!"

SEE!! I'm showing my age toooooo, lol. Gad!! This brings back memories.

Lynsay, now humming Purple Rain

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

so I avoided getting the song stuck in my head with other posts but I guess it is inevitable. good tunes guys, good tunes.

J4-Humming along with the rest of the party

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Oh, man.... why did I have to come back to this thread? I sang that song all afternoon yesterday and now I'm going to be thinking about it 'til bedtime.

My favorite line is:
"I was dreamin when I wrote this
So sue me if I go too fast
But life is just a party and
Parties weren't meant to last."

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Bring it on, y'all! I'm singing right along with you as I dance around waiting on VI!

wren

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

nothing like a little music while you wait

Jodi

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

I'm keeping my eye out too for anything to report--I actually called 10 bookstores last night to see if they had it. They are all being good so far--even the speciality romance novel store near my house that gets EVERYTHING early

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

just wondering but what is that song

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Oh, Puppylover, that song is WAY before your time. It's a song by Prince (back when he was called Prince) called "1999", put out in the early '80s.

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

I love that song! The radio used to play it non stop at the turn of the millennium. It's the only Prince song I like. Okay now getting semi back on topic...this book totally snuck up on me. Last I knew I was reading VAF and then two days ago I was like, 'Vampire Interrupted comes out Tuesday!' And life was good. Just thought I'd share my crazy ramblings.

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

OHHHH i luuuv that song. and like puppylover 'its before my time' but i for some reason i listen to songs from the 70's & 80's like michael bolton and all of them

anywho..still no early copies here

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

OH, NOW who can foret the best line ever:

"If you didn´t come to party ,don´t bother knocking on my door
I got a lion in my pocket and baby ,he´s ready to roar ,yeah
everybody´s got a bomb ,we could all die any day ,ow
but before I´ll let that happen ,I´ll dance my life away"

G3 of AE4 ( who gets songs stuck in her head, and just has to share with her friends!!)SmileyCentral.com

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

G3

Thanks alot. I do not need your help in getting songs stuck. A friend or I can says something so innocent and BAM. One time at work I had "if I were a rich man" and "matchmaker" stuck for about a week.

Still no early releases.

C1 famous for doing that.SmileyCentral.com

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

no early copies are ere either....
I actually called around to find out when they plan to release and a few, said they don't even have them in there store yet!

G3 (so it is good for lynsay!)

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

I am glad about no early releases.

Cindy I love "Fiddler on the Roof". I feel the need to go watch it now. Hmm... I wonder why?

J4 - "Matchmaker, matchmaker bring me a match. Find me a find. Catch me a catch"

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

There haven't been any here too but they did put another book out early the latest one by Christine feehan Predatory Game and i just couldnt help myself i had to get it and i was sorta hoping that Lynsays book came out too but alas it wasnt

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Jill...
what about "IF I WERE A RICH MAN, DO0 BE-DOO-BE-DOO-BE-DOO" (then I could go but all of Lynsay's books with out having t wait fo pay day!)

G3 (just helping!I would hate to have on song stuck in my sisters head all day, so I will give her two!)

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

I'm glad that there are no early releases for Lynsay's sake but it means trekking down to World's Biggest Bookstore for any chance of a copy on the actual day of release. And tomorrow we're supposed to get a snowstorm.

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Thank you Gena. You are so helpful

Connie, do you know when the storm starts. Maybe you can go grab a copy before the bad weather begins.

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

connie...

u could try to order it, pay a little more to have it overnighted!! (you should get it anyway right?)

NO RAIN, NOSNOW, NO SLEET OR HAIL!! AND ALL THAT STUFF!

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Snow is overnight (or so they say!) but I'm working a bit late tomorrow so I don't know what it will be like by then.

If the sidewalks are cleared enough, I'll probably go after work anyway. I could use the exercise!

Overnighting would mean I'd get it even later since I wouldn't be home to accept delivery. But thanks for the suggestion!

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Connie, do you live near me? We are supposed to get up to 6 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow here in Racine, Wisconsin. Actually, the storm must be moving slower than expected because we were supposed to be getting a combo of sleet and snow during the day and then shifting to snow overnight. But other than a dreary gray overcast sky, we haven't had anything as yet.

Unfortunately, that means I too might be delayed in going out to buy my copy.

Kimberly

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

I am sorry! I tried....
(I AM NOT BRAGGING OR ANYTHING!) but the only thing i have to worry about is what color tank and shorts to wear when i leave the house....so that i am not sweating to badly! SmileyCentral.com
really i am sorry to hear about the storm! I know how frustrating it can be to be stuck inside. during the last hurricanes, I had no power, and we have a well,so no water and was stuck in an extremely hot house with 7 people! not fun!
G3

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

The storm seems to be moving south of us so it looks like most of it will be down near Illinois. So we might get some snow but not as much as I feared.

Kimberly *eagarly awaiting the morning so that I can drop my kids off at school and zoom off to the bookstore*

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

the barns and noble near my place put it out today--but I was a good girl, I didn't buy it--but I had them put it on hold for me so I could go get it tomorrow.

..... ..... ......

and possibly ditch school to read it

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

good for you Connie..

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

I'm heading to the store first chance I get tomorrow!

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Van has been in & out of commission this past week. It's going to the garage for work today, and I'm renting a vehicle...we have too many with appointments, etc. and dh is having to work long hours and he commutes, so we don't have his truck available. Plus, he is so tired, which brings out the grumpy Lucern side, instead of the lovable Lucern side, kwim?

So, I will go to the garage at the dealership...put the van in...rent a car, they usually have them available...by then the bookstore may be open...and I will take us all down to the bookstore...although I feel the need to take my Michael Bolton cds from the 80s along with me. "When a man loves a woman..." Thank you very much, Shaashaine! BTW, he was NOT before my time...just showing my age now.

I don't have any cds by "the artist formally known as Prince" who I think is "Prince" again. GypsyCharm says yes, he did change his name back...and his real name is Prince Rogers Nelson...she says that shows her age...she used to have a poster of him in her room. Not me...I had a college roommate who was a devout fan of Prince...so though I like the songs now, back then I was kind of into country music and I got a bit tired of him, because she played his music constantly. Also, I don't remember GypsyCharm's poster...because it was while I was away at college, and she was living in "the yellow bedroom formally known as wren's room." For those of who Prince was before their time, he changed his name legally for awhile to a symbol...since no one could say it, he was just called "the artist formally known as Prince." Makes you glad he changed it back I grew to like Prince when Dad made me come home from college (hey, I did finish later, and who could study with all that Prince music playing, anyway. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it! ) and I was working at Auto Zone. Nothing like good music to dance to when you are stocking auto parts all night long!

Jodi, if we are in luck...our books and my sister's book will be there, and we will finish putting your package together and get it on it's bat wings to Canada!

GypsyCharm is now singing "Matchmaker, Matchmaker..." and feels it is totally appropriate for Marguerite...the "Matchmaker Extraordinaire." She also says she wishes our Mom had given her a big, handsome man (who didn't need a cucumber) in her bed on her birthday...but she never did. Our Mother would not be okay with doing that, and right now would be calling her by her full name...trust me, that's not a good thing. What can I say, she's my IRL sister...some days we are just bad Especially when we are together. Mom is only bad when we are not around!

SeaShellBelle says she didn't get one either, but she's happy! (She is happily engaged, and got a beautiful diamond for her birthday last year! One with the marquis cut...it is very pretty. No date set yet!)

Wren...W2 happily humming her way to where the books are!

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Prince's name change to the symbol was--as I understand it-- a reaction to the contracts he had with his recording company who basically owned him as the performer Prince. Kind of like Avon owns me as Lynsay Sands. I can't write for anyone else but them at the moment and can't take the Argeneaus anywhere else, and and and... Apparently Prince couldn't put out records for anyone else (at least not with his own name) and they wouldn't allow him to do some things and he got annoyed and changed his name to a symbol so that he could publish anywhere he bloody wanted and what he wanted. Really damaged his career. He was never as big after that. Sigh and shrug.

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Sheesh!!! I forgot I was using the main computer instead of mine and this one ALWAYS pops up Mr. Spice. Sorry about that. Oh hey! Instead of L I could always write as Mrs. Spice if I ever felt as frustrated as Prince was.

L, who knows she's going to forget to change the name in the name thing afterward and Mr. Spice won't think of it and will be posting as Lynsay bwahahahaha

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Mrs. Spice, Puff Daddy change his name multiple times too. You could too. You could change it to M. Spice and or have Mr. Spice go by L Daddy.

J4-Just some suggestions thrown out there.

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Got my copy!

I had to run an errand on my lunch hour and decided to make a slight detour to the bookstore nearest me which never puts things out on time and lo, and behold! There was one single copy of VI on the shelf!

I'm assuming the rest of the copies on the "what's new and hot shelves" or being displayed somewhere else. Can't believe they'd only have one copy.

I am a very happy gal since I won't have to trek down to the other bookstore as we're supposed to get a sudden, very steep, drop in the temperature before I leave work today. Bleh.

Re: No early copies to report, yet...

Wohoo Connie. That's great. Now if you have a snow storm, you can sit read your new book and with hot cup of chocolate.

Re: No early copies to report, yet...
