Re: HI!

what did you have in mind??
G3 of AE3

hope that helped!

Re: HI!

well, lol idk! i sometimes go to a different forum, and they dont talk about the book, i thought that ppl here did. so... what music u like?lol

Re: HI!

Hi Nemo! Welcome!

The SASSy ARGENEAUTS talk mostly about the Argeneau series, but we also discuss Lynsay's historical romances (if you have never tried one, they are hysterically funny ) and her anthologies and dual-author books with Hannah Howell (about a Scottish highland clan that is a "little different.") Oh, and SASS stands for Sands and Spice Society...that's the part that indicates we are part of all of Mr. & Mrs. Spice's world, not just the Argeneaus...Lynsay writes so many good books that we don't want to leave other parts out. Her husband, Dave aka Mr. Spice, moderates for us and gets in on the topics with some interesting and often educational mischief, and he & their House Elf Terri (aka administrator) and Emma-cat put together the fabulously fun newsletters every month. Make sure you sign up...there is always the latest news, editorials from Terri or Emma about life at Spice Acres (hmmm...yes Emma really is the Spice's cat but it doesn't seem to effect her ) and there are crosswords and great contests each month.

As for other topics, we play games and have threads on "what ifs?" and interesting topics about changes in language or where we live, what kind of music we or the Argeneaus might like, and enjoy talking about the books and newsletters when Mr. Spice gives the go ahead that it's open to do so. Just make sure you put a spoiler warning when discussing books, please.
Sometimes, newbies haven't read earlier books in the series. (for example: ***SPOILER WARNING ~ LB*** or something along those lines ) It only gets quiet around here when a new book comes out, and that only last a few hours while everyone absorbs the first reading. Then, with the first reread...we start typing as fast as our fingers can fly.

One of the best treats is that Lynsay pops in to answer questions or make comments as she is able to between all the writing we beg her to do. She also has a blog to check in with once in awhile.

If you haven't yet, check in on the Getting To Know You thread...it's a fun little quiz that doesn't take long, and you can read about a lot of the regulars on this forum. Remember, this is the "official forum" so if it gets comfirmed here, you know it is accurate, although there are some good unofficial forums and a yahoo group that are interesting of which it is fun to be a part if you choose. You can also be assured that this site is always safe. Feel free to express your opinion - that is encouraged, but Lynsay & Dave don't put up with those who would be nasty to one another. The "rule" is respect for each other...that's what makes us a unique group. We come together for fun & fellowhip with other fans without being blasted because our opinion might be different. We are from all over the world, so you will get lots of wonderful viewpoints from so many different people. It is somewhat like travelling all over the world with the Argeneaus without leaving the comfort of your own computer. Also, if you are a technological turtle, as I am, we have those on the board who are willing to help you learn without thinking you have no "netiquette" as some call it. Just ask, and they will explain, or send you an email to help.

Oh, and there are the Angelic Enforcers + Jillie, aka AE3+1 (Hey, C1 & G3, is it time to become the AE4...we have already inducted Jill, and as she is signing J4, I would take that as acceptance...besides not accepting might require and AE3+1 is getting tiring. LOL) that pop in quite often. We unofficially help the Argeneau Enforcers (in our dreams) and stir up good mischief. You will recognize us soon. We are the ones that have an addiction to the series "Charmed" after our greater addiction to The Argeneau World Books. Our other mission is to ...but we are Always angelic while doing so. heeheehee Sometimes you may see Mr. Spice make us stand in the corner until we can behave.

Oh, and very important, as a mortal...feel free to "turn" as many other mortals as you can to the Lynsay Sands books...more fans reading means more books Avon will be willing to publish, kwim? There are unlimited "turns" as long as you are mortal, without fear of the being "staked, baked, & chopped."
The one turn only law only applies to the actual immortals.

I guess that is it for now. As you can see, I am not humble or bashful and I am outspoken, so my posts always last about half a page! J4 caught on to me though...so we inducted her into the AE3. If you know too much... heeheehee

Welcome and stick around...we have the greatest time here!

PS: One of the best things about this place besides the gorgeous vampires is the respect for other posters...not alot of websites are like that. Thank-you Lynsay and Mr. Spice.

Re: HI!

oh yeah! i have introduced my friends to lynsays books, lol they come to me to get the next book! what is ya'lls favorite book that lynsay has written?

Re: HI!

I wish I could say that I have only one but it is impossible with Lynsays stories.

If I was to choose from Argeneau's series it would be Lucern's story- "Single White Vampire"

From her historicals -probably "Always"

I just started to read the ones where she wrote with Hannah Howell. Those are good but too short. Must have more Lynsay

How about you Nemo?

Re: HI!

Way to go, Nemo! Already been turning your mortal friends. Now, you just have to make them go get their own copies so yours are always available for rereads!

Let's see...My favorite Argeneau books are Tall, Dark, & Hungry (Bastien & Terri), A Bite to Remember (Vincent & Jackie), and Vampires Are Forever (Thomas & Inez)...and I'm not too surprised, because those are my favorite Argeneau guys

My favorite historicals are The Brat...I cannot read it without ...and I also like The Reluctant Reformer. I enjoy the Hannah Howell/Lynsay Sands duets as a whole series, because I like both authors and they write well together in spite of their different styles.

Re: HI!

Mentioned earlier... "Now, you just have to make them go get their own copies so yours are always available for rereads!"

Tell me about it!!! My sis in Illinois has my books. I'm in Oklahoma. So what do I have to do to reread? Make more trips to the Library. But they don't have a copy of SWV, Boo-hoo! Had to skip that one cause I can't find a copy. But I'm considering ordering another and donating to the Library, if I could trust that someone wouldn't swipe it.

Re: HI!

Denise

Can you have your favorite bookstore order it? Can not remember if you had one close.

Or if you have the Library order it have them put it up so you get it first.

Re: HI!

lol i know! it gets fustrating! i love to reread my books, but havent gotton the chance....

Re: HI!

ask ur librery to order it for u then u get it first

Re: HI!

I have been getting them from the library, but they don't have a copy of SWV. The copies of Love Bites and Tall, Dark and Hungry that the library has are on their last readings. Really bad shape. I just ordered a copy of TDH but SWV and LB are on backorder. Who knows when those will be available.

I'm currently waiting my turn for ABTR. Two others are in front of me in the line. Fortunately I have my own copies of TAV and VAF. The waiting line for VAF is currently at 13. And they have 8 copies of TAV on order but none available yet.

Re: HI!

Puppylover they have done some of the historicals in large print, but I don't think they've done the vamps in it yet. I don't know why not, but sorry.
