Wren-I got your email but when I tried to reply it was sent back to me saying it couldn't be delivered? not sure what is going on with that.

Re: Wren

Jodi, I think the server is doing some changes. We got some kind of notification about them changing things around the 17th. When it gets corrected, I'll let you know, and I'll notify you when I send the box!

Re: Wren

Ok Wren, thanks! Kassie and I went out yesterday and picked up some stuff for you guys and I will be sending everything soon.

Jodi

Re: Wren

Jodi, just eight days according to the widget countdown on Cindy's site...lots of s will be migrating to the North. An entire Argeneau series has grown temporary bat wings to fly your way. It is almost Spring, after all. I do realize that bats are not birds, as my younger son wants to be a zoologist who specializes in the study of bats Don't ask me, I just teach them. They come with their own personalities and interests. I have convinced him that learning to communicate well through speaking and writing is important, as scientists have to write reports and grants as well as make presentations. Now, back on topic...just barely more than a week, and your books and Kassie's mail take flight! wren

P.S. to Mr. & Mrs. Spice... in case you are wondering, Jodi & I have a book/Canada geography & history trade going on. As it is difficult for her to get the books and easy for me to get an extra copy for her and since we homeschool, we have worked it out so I can get the books to her with some USA stuff for her young children, and she sends pictures, maps, postcards, postage stamps, and other little things from her extended family throughout Canada. See how educational your fan forum is for all of us. Oh, if you want to send pictures from Toronto, you have my email and we would welcome them! We will add it to our bulletin board, and then compile it into a scrapbook at the end of the school year. As GypsyCharm is teaching beginning French, it seems this year's geography/history/culture studies are working out well. Any other Canadian Argeneauts that want to send a picture, we would love to have it.
We will be happy to send pictures or info from our part of the USA to you as well.

Mr. Spice, we do continue in our duties as "international bookstore spies" while trading our information. So far, I haven't seen any Vampire, Interrupted books out before the release date.

Although I would love to live on the fan forum, I do have a job. It doesn't pay moneywise, but the rewards are fantastic! Dh is very generous about book buying, especially school related and whatever makes "mom" relax. (I get paid in Lynsay's books!)

We had "car-school" today. On our way to meet my family and bring home GypsyCharm & Kewie, we did a complete book review on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. They had an entire lesson on drafting and preparing to write a five-paragraph review. It was fresh in my mind from PuppyLover's summary thread. The fun part happens this week when they have to put their ideas on a graphic organizer, and then actually write the review.

GypsyCharm brought her gem & mineral books back with her, and we go on a field trip next week-end to a gem & mineral show. We have been once before with her. She knows a lot about these things, as she helped a friend who owned a small gem business and often worked an exhibit at different shows. She is having them choose a gem or mineral this week to study, and then find it at the exibit hall and write a report. It is fantastic to have someone who has great coffee ready when you get to the kitchen, knows enough French to teach it, and is also helping teach science. The French course came with audio CDs, but it helps to have someone who had high school and some college French to follow through. Heather "Kewie" is a homeschool of 2006! She is going to help teach and internet safety. GypsyCharm is willing to teach anything except math (because she doesn't like it) but I can do most of it and dh does the rest.

So, this year's geography/history/culture focus is North America, and other than requirements for USA, we will have an emphasis on Canada.

wren...who actually does do something other than stir up mischief with her AE3+1 sisters & her IRL sisters

Re: Wren

Hi Wren sounds good. If Kassie had her way when we were at the store we would have bought all the magnets and postcard for you guys, she was so excited! I know she will really enjoy getting mail and of course I can't wait!

Jodi

Re: Wren

Jodi,

Glad to hear you will finally be able to know what all the fuss is about with the Argeneau series! Try not to get too excited while you wait.

Happy reading!

Kimberly

Re: Wren

Kim-I am getting so excited!

Re: Wren

Are you going to take any vacation time and read them all back to back? Or will you be able to restrain yourself and limit it to just reading one per day?

I hope you have warned your family that you may disappear for long periods of time. Also, to use a long stick to poke you with if they need to interrupt you when you are reading. (The stick is so you don't rip out their throat for bothering you during an exciting scene!)

Kimberly

Re: Wren

well I will have to read them all at once of course and a nice quiet place to sit and read would be nice, maybe I should take vacation then they won't need the stick!

Re: Wren

Gees, you can't play them up so much, guys. Jodi will exect them to be brilliant and be disappointed when they're just okay. GAD!! Don't listen to them, Jodi. They're awful. Horrendous, really.

Lynsay

Re: Wren

Lynsay, SmileyCentral.com
Oh no you didn't just say that!!!
SmileyCentral.com Dont listen to her they are wonderfullllllll

Re: Wren

But we only speak the truth. They are fantastic. We want more and more. You are the best. You do not make #3 by not being so.

SmileyCentral.com

Re: Wren

Don't listen to Lynsay on this one, Jodi. She obviously got too much sun while in St. Lucia

Also, the surprise of Vampires Are Forever hitting NYT at #3 may have startled her, even though we all knew it was that GOOD!

Anyway, just find some relaxing time to read somehow, someway...They are absolutely wonderful, but you will still be expected to report in to your friends here on the forum! We want to know that you are still breathing...and which is your favorite! You will have to go through all the old threads and give your answers. I will be happy to bump them up for you.

Jodi, this is you in a couple of weeks! On with your Argeneau of

Lynsay, just accept that your fans love you!
We mean it, and you are stuck with us now & forever!
How many other authors do you know who have fans becoming "bookpals" and "Charmed" Angelic Enforcer sisters...there are four of us now, you know. We adopted Jill as our "Billie" You have "international spies" checking the bookstores to make sure they release your books at the right time and display them where they need to be...up front, as well as telling them they need to get the rest of the series available and ready for the crowds and out "turning" mortals into Argeneau lovers in the broad daylight or at night, we are always ready to "turn" someone...We SASSy ARGENEAUTS are proud to wear the name!

Oh, and you even have irl twin sisters who both claim Bastien as their own! Twins with the same favorite Argeneau! Check out SeashellBelle on the getting to know you thread...that's my other irl baby sis who is a whole three minutes older than GypsyCharm. LOL

Lynsay, my deah...don't mess with your SA's when we are talking about your books, dahling! Just relax with your dear honey & the playstation...and let that imagination create new books. Btw, I have noticed that we don't know who is after Mortimer...not giving it away yet, LOL

Re: Wren

now i can never be part of Charmed Angelic Enforcer sisters with all 4 parts being played

Re: Wren

Mrs. Spice,

It is hard to deny cold hard facts. YOUR BOOKS ARE GOOD!!!!

All of us have "turned" quite a few mortals and we couldn't have done it if they didn't have quality material to read.

J4-Wren is right you are stuck with us

Re: Wren

Lynsay you are so modest, I know that I will love these books as I loved the historicals I have read. also I can't wait to be able to jump in and post with the rest of you about these books. Until they arrive however I will hover on the outside reading what everyone else is posting feel sorry for me yet? seriously you guys make the books sound so interesting that I can't wait

Re: Wren

When you do get them we will not hear from you for a week. We understand. After you are done please post your experience with the family.

We want to hear your intake on them.

Until then as we say elsewhere Be A Lurker

Re: Wren

P.S. to Jodi...there are historicals included that you had on your list of needed Lynsay books! A couple that you don't already have.

It could be almost summer before we hear from you Then, there is an anthology, and maybe a dual Lynsay/Hannah Howell book too. Gee, I'm good (and so modest, too) I feel like I have a NT Canadian sister!

Do not, I repeat, do not neglect your dear family. Your dh may not ever let you return, you know.
Besides, after you read them all, you will start all over again and savour them through the rereads. Yummy!

Check-ins are mandatory now!

wren...the good little heeheehee

Re: Wren

Wren your the best! and I really wanted to read the Lynsay/Hannah Howell books too, who am I kidding? I want to read them all!!

Canadian sister sounds good!

I was asking one of the women I work with today if she has anything from Nfld. where she is from and she will look and if so I will add it to the parcel.

Jodi

Re: Wren

Lynsay,

Your modesty is touching but... "When you got it, you got it!"

I visited my local used bookstore the other day for the first time in a while. My library now has a used book sale that is ongoing over in the corner of the lobby/check-out area so I have been buying most of my books there.

I decided to check and see if the used bookstore had any of your old historicals since I'm still missing a few. Nothing, nada, zilch. Not one single copy of any of your books. So I asked the owner if she had heard of you thinking maybe she hadn't. She definitely had. In fact, she said she couldn't keep your books on the shelves. They sold almost as soon as she put any out!

Kim *impatiently awaiting the release of Vampire, Interrupted*

Re: Wren

You guys are sweeties. You even overlooked my mispelling of expect. YEEESH!! Anyway, I hope you enjoy them Jodi.

And aren't you guys sweeties for sending care packages to the gals who have trouble getting them in the far north!! I've said it before and will say it again, I honestly have the best ****ed (excuse my french) readers in the fricking world.

Hugs to all

Lynsay

Re: Wren

Sorry, can't resist pointing out that the word misspelling is misspelled!

Kimberly

Re: Wren

Wren, I just wanted to let you know I sent your parcel out today. They said about 8 days.

Jodi

Re: Wren

I got the box! I got the box! so excited haven't really had a chance yet to look through everything but holy cow the books! Thank you! I recieved the box just as we were getting the kids ready for bed and I opened it to show Kassie, she loved the map. I will email you when I have had a chance to go through everything, I don't want to go to work tomorrow now, but on the plus side Friday is a holiday so long weekend yeah!

Jodi

Hi Jodi...

SmileyCentral.com

I'm having fun with our stuff, too. The maps and books and everything is great. Just the kinds of things I was looking for...it makes history, geography, and learning about other cultures so much more fun. This is the first time I've ever had someone to do this with and I really appreciate it. I'll email you!

I threw in a few extra books, although I know you will be rereading Argeneaus when you finish the first time through the series you won't be able to help yourself, because the first time you will be reading so fast and be so absorbed that you have to go through them again to savour all the wonderful details... but September is still two seasons away, you know! That's still a long time until Book 10! I got your list of other needs...so I can be looking before Mortimer's story comes out. Also, if you like any of the other books, you can send me a list of authors you are interested in having more of, but first I'm working on the list you emailed. You are sadly deprived of some of my favorite books from my top keeper authors!

It's not the same as having Lynsay's...but you should have a good sample of all her books to reread in between the others. You don't have the first in the Hannah/Lynsay series...hold off on the two you have until the end of her books, because I think I've found it. To me, those are better read in order. Read the anthologies instead. After the Argeneaus, of course. Bossy, aren't I? Oh well, I've been called that (and worse) many times And I'll need a list of Lynsay's historicals that you now have...I should have made a list before I put everything in the box.

I'm so glad it got there. Finally!...woohoo...now we will hear what Jodi has to say, if we can interrupt her reading long enough! SmileyCentral.com

You must fill out all of the quiz queen's fun little quizzes(naturally, that's me but I got the idea from Lindsey when she was on the forum...I'm not sure she has checked in lately...but the other AE4 sisters will protect you from me driving you batty with quizzes, maybe )...then we can discuss all the books and our favorites again and we will finally know your favorites! Hopefully, Acal will have his delayed books in and be able to discuss all the books, too, because he can't really give his true favorites until he gets to finish the series! Remember, check-ins are mandatory...even if it is just to say "hi, I'm reading ____ and I'm still breathing, eating, taking care of my family, and I haven't lost my job from staying up all night reading!" Promise? I'm sure Lynsay, Dave, and Terri would become very concerned if they lost an ARGENEAUT due to book overload!

Enjoy, my sister/bookpal...wren in the

P.S. Overlook my messy penmanship...I was in a hurry to get it in the mail. Each of the children's books have little notes from me in them...I hope they like them! Oh, and there is a little Easter craft book on the bottom of the box...with ideas for both children. Since Easter is this coming Sunday, I wanted to make sure you saw it.
