Who have you "turned?"

Well, since I am mortal, I guess the one time turn rule doesn't apply.

So far, I have turned my sister Sherri into an avid reader of the Argeneau World. She just finished The Accidental Vampire.

My niece, Heather, who had never read romance novels, just finished A Quick Bite, and is way into Love Bites, which she is really enjoying. Since she really loves video games, and she likes the "fight" in Rachel, she likes this book even better.

Now, my sister Terri, (other sister's twin) is beginning A Quick Bite.

And my younger niece, Kelsey, has read at least one of the books ~I think Vincent's & Jackie's~ with her mother's permission!

Okay, that is four turns so far!

Gotta go, dh would like a chance to get on the computer! wren

Re: Who have you "turned?"

ok, so my mother actually turned me.

I gave a Single white vampire to my grandmother
and then to her sister.
then my best friend caught me reading Accidental Vampire when it came out while I was waiting to meet her for coffee.
now my 2 cousins, and a sister-n-law are reading "a quick bite", "accidental vampire" and "tall dark and hungry"

wow 6 for me....I didn't even realise.

G. ( who has to stop giving her books, because now she can't find one! )

Re: Who have you "turned?"

My husband. He asks about what happens. When the next book comes out. I read parts to him. He is interested in who is who and what is going on. He even has his 2cents to put in here.

My friend Dusty. She is like me. When she is done reading she asks "When is the next one coming out?"
Actually that is a daily question.

Her friend in Tennessee.

Thats it so far.

Need to get husband packed for his trip tomorrow.SmileyCentral.com

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Hmmm...I see P3 has been out "turning" others. Lucky we are mortals, or we would have lost our heads by now!

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Well, only two that I know of. I've sent the books to my sister and she, in turn passes them on to another friend before they come back to me.

But I may have some unknown turns. I recommend them to anyone who asks for rec's, even when they don't ask for paranormals. And I've suggested them to a few wandering the bookstore isles.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Great minds think a like!! Well at least, if we ever get "turned" at least we can say we did our turning before and it will be all out of our system by then. Maybe they will forgive us. **BATTING MY EYES QUITE FLIRTATIOUSLY***

p3 out!

Re: Who have you "turned?"

At Wal-Mart, Borders, Grocery store, Airport, friends. Whenever someone ask what I am reading I tell them and recommend the series. Word of mouth is the best so they say.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Hey, that means I got turned in a Barnes & Noble. I was just browsing and picked up Single White Vampire and Tall, Dark, & Hungry, and a lady browsing in the same area said "Those are really funny, good books. You want to read this one first." Those were the only two on the shelf, so I purchased Single White Vampire...and my turning happened that night as I read it straight through. Then I hit my local bookstore for the others the next day!

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Dose that mean you were an Accidental Turn????

Re: Who have you "turned?"

cindy, that would mean i had to be a quick bite..i only started to read through it while i was waiting at my mother's for her to cook dinner one night and took it home!!!

Well, no matter how it happens we already know, Vampires are forever!

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Yes Cindy, I believe I was an accidental turn After all, I was just browsing and only picked up the books because the covers were cute. I was just looking at them when the other shopper spoke up. I was a little tired of the darker type paranormals, didn't feel like a mystery, was caught up on my favorite historical authors, and wanted something "new." I had never heard of the very talented Ms. Sands before then. After reading SWV and TD&H and devouring a couple of the historicals, I found the website and emailed a question to Lynsay about a character in The Reluctant Reformer, who I hoped would get his own book.(Not at this time, because he still belongs over at the other publisher.) I also shared about my favorites of the Argeneaus that I had read. A few days later, I got a reply from Lynsay. Not a form letter...real communication! (By the way, Lynsay, I was really impressed!) That was the first time I had ever written to an author, and I had a response that was a full page back to me. Even E.G. was impressed that it was a personal email, and not a general letter.
So that finished my "turning" and I've been here ever since!

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Gena, very funny! A book, a bite, dinner, and forever a vampire! A Perfect Turning...Hey, that sounds like a book title. Maybe it's your story.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

My husband brought the books home from work. One of his operators was reading them, he saw the bat on Love Bites ,he asked if he could bring them for me to read. She knew me and knew I would take care of them. So the way I read them was LB,SWV,TD&H. After I was done reading them, I got on line to see what other books in that series was available. Went to get my own copies. Been hooked ever since. And the rest as they say is history.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Cindy, I guess you were turned by your Lifemate?

wren

Re: Who have you "turned?"

I tell EVERYONE at any bookstore I'm in about the Argeneau series. And I do mean everyone. I'm working on getting my brother's girlfriend hooked too and everyone I speak to online at various message boards, social networking websites (myspace and facebook mainly), blog websites... you name it I've promoted the books there.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Heather is already into Single White Vampire tonight!
And is urging Terri (her mom) to get started on Lissi's book...

It's less than a week, and she is into book 3 already, and asked me how many there are? We've got a growing SASSy Argeneaut on the premises!

I love having them here with me.

wren

Re: Who have you "turned?"

I talked to 2 of my "sisters" tonight or is that today?
Anywho they can not wait to get started reading them.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

I hung out with my soon to be sister in law last night...I couldn't help but tell her. She was so excited we had to leave dinner early ( normally we would just sit and talk awhile) and went to the nearest bookstore, she bought SWV,& AQB right there.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Well I would definatly be tied out in the sun all night hell they would probably slowly chop my limbs off before staking me because I turned everyone I can get my hands on. Including my friend Alexis, Caitlin, Shelby, Mary, Juanita, Colin, my mom who wants to read them but has no time, and my best friends lifemate who needs to make time as well. I suppose I turned myself***Spoiler Alert?***The first book I read Was ABTR i turned myself just like Jackie had in the book. I stumbled upon the book but snatched it without anyone saying a word to me. It was the best book I had ever read so after I was turned I couldn't help but turn as many people as possible. I just wish I could find my life mate one who will love Lynsay's books as much as me

Re: Who have you "turned?"

GABRIELLE..you get to turn one person, remember...you might find your lifemate and be able to turn him after.

g3

Re: Who have you "turned?"

????wait what I get to turn my life mate? If I were an Immortal sadley I would be dead with a capital D Although maybe I would be shown mercy because I am not normal I would probably confuse them into telling me "Aw thats okay you didn't know, Your crazy your only aloud to turn one person from now on okay." My response. Hugs random council member "Thank you I will save it for my life mate. Be careful on your way out there is a monkey in my closet. Oh and Mister by the way soup does not taste good with chocolate." he would say under his breath "well at least I don't feel guilty not upholding the law, she IS quit strange"

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Gabrielle,

As a Mortal, and a SASSy ARGENEAUT, you are to "turn" as many other mortals as possible to reading Lynsay's books! We must do what we do for the cause of keeping more Argeneau books on the bestseller list and having Lynsay write more so the series is never-ending!

The "one turn law" only applies when you become immortal and you save that turn for your lifemate!

Re: Who have you "turned?"

I have turned my mom. But it has its disadvantages. I have to fight to be the first to read them. She is home during the day and can get the mail so she starts reading it before I can get my fingers on it.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

I have to say this but another author turned me, I got Dates From Hell because I wanted to read Kelley Armstrong's contribution. I just loved Lynsay's story so I checked her website out and read the excerpt of A Quick Bite after reading the summary in the back of the book. I just had to go to the bookstore and get it the next day.

I was so happy that there was one copy left. I read the whole book that same day and then I went and got Accidental and Forever the next day. Waiting on my orders now

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Ahhh, so you haven't read 2, 3 or 4 yet. Have fun tracking down copies. The used copies are selling around new prices or higher on Ebay, though sometimes less.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

I already have them on order they should be here by next week, my bookstore orders direct from the US so they have many publishers they have access too. I just finished reading Vampires are Forever today all in one sitting.. When I go to my bookstore next i'll be ordering all the others

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Woohooo! I got my first turn last night!!! I finally turned my Mom - she's been hesitant, but finally agreed to pick the Argeaneaus up and read them! I started her with Lissianna.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Alright.SmileyCentral.com

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Be careful Stauri. Speaking from experience, you will now have to fight her for any new Argeneaus. She will be totally hooked.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Not worried as I have the Barnes and Nobles discount card - she's frugal and likes hand me downs. She knows as soon as I buy them, I start to read them. Have spent several nights with no sleep reading, can't put them down. I'm an addict!!!!!

Re: Who have you "turned?"

it happens so many of us are. We actually should have a help group for our kind

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Ok guys, old thread, but had to bring it back up.

I was in the book store yesteday and this lady was standing beside me with her basket. I looked in her basket by accident, as I was about to sit my books in it, and low and behold she was reading Paranormal romances. We got into this conversation, and I took her to the section (alphabetical) and placed BMIYC, TAV, and VAF in her basket. I gave her my e-mail address and Lynsay's site information, so we may see her soon. I also wrote down the order of the books and told her she needed to order them soon.

So there's my most recent turn.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

My goodness girl. When you put your mind to turn somebody you turn them.

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Go Stauri

Re: Who have you "turned?"

Re: Who have you "turned?"
