Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

While we are waiting for the next one...pick & choose so far! I've put a spoiler warning in the subject line, in case you want to discuss why you chose that particular novel. Please remember that some have only just received the latest books, so give a heads up if you have comments.

I know the books build on each other, but pick only TWO just to make it a little tougher. You can't say "the whole series" because that's a given!

I'll begin...Although Single White Vampire was my intro to the Argeneau World Novels...

My favorites are a close tie between Tall, Dark, & Hungry (I just love Bastien & Terri, especially the scene where they enter the penthouse for the first time, and the scene in front of the Hilton) and A Bite To Remember (I fell in love with Vincent in TD&H...& was thrilled with his book! He quickly moved to the top of fave Argeneaus. Plus, I like the little twist that played out with Jackie turning herself.) I'm having to play by my own rules here, because I'd love to add my third favorite!

So, I've picked my ! Your turn...

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

Hmm...I think my favorite book is Bite me if You Can. My second favorite is a tie between Single, White Vampire and a Bite to Remember.

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

HHMMM....WREN... REALLY you are making me pick only 2!!!!
I would have to say, My first; is SINGLE WHITE VAMPIRE!***** WARNING SCENE SPOILER ***
He is so grumpy, and yet he gets caught on the table, and 2 woman climb under to help. in front of everyone.
and the second is a tie with Tall Dark and Hungry,Bastien is a workaholic, but I loved him trying to play it cool!!! and Accidental Vampire,Victor getting railroaded with small town living.

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

Wren,

Yiu do not play fair. All thr books and people in them are all of our favorites. Nut if I have to choose 2 then it is:Bite Me If You Can and The Accidental Vampire.

Guess you could say I have a thing for older men. SmileyCentral.com

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

Then???????? Tall Dark and Hungry. or Maybe Bite me if you can.. No Lissianna's and Gregs story.... ahhhh maybe Vincent's ohhhhhhh

No Definatly Tall Dark and Hungry........

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

Well, you can't be devious and play fair at the same time!
I did force myself to play by my own rules of only Not very easy, is it?

heehee...wren

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

WREN....Its a lot harder than you would think. I have read them a few times, and thought I knew what order I liked but when you have to committ its hard.
and you know what I like to say, THERE IS ALWAYS AND EXCEPTION TO THE RULE!?!?

(even when I am the one who has to invent it!

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

muhahahaahahaha...it is tough, but that's what makes it more fun...and the only rule bending allowed is a tie between two books. Other exceptions will result in being staked all day in the with decapitation at dusk...or not. I don't think I've been appointed as a council enforcer!

Alas, we shall have to do the honorable thing and play by the rules that she who began the game made up, for there is no punishment available if the rules are broken.

wren...who now wants to be on the Council!! (Hey, I take Tang Soo Do, and I have really cool PINK sparring gear...too bad I never use it)

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

I know I shouldn't (I am the author after all, AND I'm supposed to be writing) but I'm gonna play too!! My favs are . . .Oh crap, this IS hard. Let's see, well The Accidental was such a blast to write (and takes place in my home with characters based on people I know), so I guess that's number one, though SWV was until then. So, I guess those two, but TD&H kind of ties for second with SWV cause it has so much of my first date with Mr. Spice in it, so it holds a lot of sentimental value.

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

Yay, Lynsay...

See, if the author can even abide by the "rules" and have a little fun with it, then we all can. No need to call in the enforcers, after all. (although I admit the mischievious streak in me wanted to wield that sword! Never happen, I can't even watch scary movies with any gory parts at all.) I also wanted to put a tie for second place, but then I would have about five books listed, which seemed to be bending the rules almost to the breaking point. Of course, I'm such an angel that I would never do
that!

I guess Lynsay & Dave are the enforcers!

Hmmm...Dave, time to chime in...you tease us so often about getting to read the new books first that we want to know your choices, too!

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

That's a good question. I first started the series with "Love Bites". It's my favorite because Rachel is a coroner and that is what I want to be. Well, a medical examiner. I also like "Single White Vampire", Tall Dark and Hungry", and "A Quick Bite".

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

HHHMMMM!

SO WREN, Does that mean, if we break the rules, then we get to meet the ENFORCERS in person.....good enough for me!!

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

If I could deliver that, Gena, we would All break the rules together! We would be a rule-breaking nest of rogues!

Only, I don't want to be staked in the sun, and I'd like to keep my head attached to the rest of me. It helps to have it when I want to read the next book, kwim? Especially since it is the long awaited Thomas' book! So, like Lucern, we shall be honorable even when we don't want to

Girl, if we lived next door to each other, we would be in constant trouble, you do know that, don't you?

wren...being sweet & innocent

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

If we have to stick to just two, it will have to be The Accidental Vampire and Single White Vampire. But I love them all so much. I think I want my books back from my sister so I can re-read!!

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

Wren, between the 2 of us, my husband wouldn't ever let me leave the house!!!

YEA YOUR RIGHT!! I need to keep my head long enough to make sure Thomas is happy....then I could die a happy girl!( especially, if the last thing I would see is a bunch of tall, hunky, vampire enforcers!!...and i would know it was heaven if Victor, was the one who stacked me! ***devilish GRIN** I love older men!)

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

Wren, I'll be fair and exclude any books that are not yet in the stores. My choices would have to include Single White Vampire. The opening e-mail dialogue - or lack of if in Lucern's case - made me laugh until I nearly wet myself. Any book - and I'm not being biased here - that can grab my attention in the first two pages will get my vote.

The second choice is difficult - I like the Accidental Vampire because of it's unusual story angle but I also like Tall, Dark & Hungry, too.

TD&H is a favourite because - and I am being biased on this one - there are a few scenes in there which are based on things Lynsay and I actually did and so I do have a soft spot for that particular book. Another thing that makes the book memorable for me is that when it was being written I was still in the UK and Lynsay was in Canada. In order for me to read it she emailed it to me one chapter at a time. I then emailed it on to myself at work so I could read it during my lunch breaks. And, for me, that's definitely something that makes it stand out.

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

Mr. Spice
That is so sweet!!! You must be a great influence on each other. TD&H is one of my favs, it was the first one I read of the Argenaeus and liked it so much, I went out and bought the reast of the books and read them in order.
To this day I still read it over and over again. Bastien is so much like my husband, and while we were dating, he was so frustrated because we were constatnly "interupted" by his brother, who moved in with him for a while right before we started dating.
I started telling him about the different parts in the book, especially that one ***I think you know*** and He just laughed, and said" I FEEL YOUR PAIN BUDDY."

Re: Look! Which is your favorite Argeneau Book? (Warning *spoilers in discussion*)

Mr Spice that is my fave beginning as well..... No ...great dialog!
