Vampire Ages...?

Lynsay or Mr. Spice,

Would it be okay to ask how old one of the Immortals is? I looked through the books but the age of the Immortal in question is only briefly mentioned.

-Amanda

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Ask away Amanda. Which one are you wondering about?

Lynsay

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Oh thats a really good question! Looking forward to the answer!

xx

Re: Vampire Ages...?

I was wondering about Christian Notte's age. He's one of my favorites. Thank you!

PS Birthday's would be awesome too. I love trival stuff like that. :)

Re: Vampire Ages...?

wren chiming in to say I'm interested in all those Notte family members too, especially Christian! He intrigued me in Vincent's book, which is a close tie with Bastien's book for my favorite. If I remember right, Christian & others of his family are on the European council.

Lynsay, since you're answering some basic questions (we hope) how do you pronounce Notte?

Thanks, Renee

Re: Vampire Ages...?

In Italian (and Spanish, for that matter!) all vowels are pronounced.

Notte would be pronounced No-tay. The first vowel is pronounced sort of between the words "no" and "not"

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Hit the post button too soon!

Notte is Italian for night which is the perfect name for a vampire, no?

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Thanks, Connie

And I agree "night" is perfect for a vamp!

wren

Re: Vampire Ages...?

I didn't know Notte meant night. That's cool!

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Since we are asking question's about their age, I was wondering how old is Mortimer and maybe a little more backround knowledge about him, like where he was born and who his family are. I beginning to get interested in him. Thanks!

I know this is off topic too Lynsay, but I was wondering how many of more of Argeneau/vampire novels do you plan on writing? I know you wrote Mortimer's story, but are you going to write some for the secondary characters like Christian or Bricker? Sorry for all the questions, but I was curious. Thanks Lynsay!

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Well done Connie!! Thanks for answering that. She got it exactly right guys.

Now to ages, I just got a new portable with Vista and the new Microsoft office stuff and when I tried to open my spreadsheet that has everyone's ages, the bloody thing won't open. Guess I'm going to have to pull out the old one and look it up there for you, but not tonight. Too late for that.

In the meantime, I can tell you that Christian is just over 500, and Mortimer (as I recall so don't hold me to this) is just over four hundred. Mortimer is from California as is Bricker. Both their families are still there. Umm, can't remember what else was asked. SEE HOW LATE IT IS. I will post this and then check to see what I missed and post again if necessary.

Lynsay

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Wren/Renee,

Christian also plays hard rock fiddle, lol. And yes Notte is Italian for night and as the prevailing genes in that family are dark with midnight black hair and silver-black eyes and as the Romans gave names based on such identifying features like Argentis or Argenteus for silver (the Argeneaus are noted for having silver eyes) they gained the name Notte. That’s where their name originates.

As for how many more, that depends on you guys. Right now I’m contracted for four more after Vampire, Interrupted and Mortimer’s is the first of those four. But I certainly have the ideas for more. It just depends on if you want them and the publisher is willing to pub them.

Will Christian get a story? Very likely. He’s been talking to me. Bricker I’m not sure on, though it’s possible. Pimms, who was barely mentioned in Bite Me If You Can but is one of the enforcers (he works with Anders) pops up again in Mortimer’s story, but in the flesh. You get to meet him and find out his full name . . .I am so tempted to tell it to you here. Actually, I will. You guys are great to me so I’ll let you in on the secret. He is Decker Argeneau Pimms, can you guess who his mother is? LOL.

Anyway, he might get his own story too. There are other secondary characters who will pop up again and may get their stories told; people like Mirabeau (She HAS met her lifemate), Jeanne Louise (she started talking to me at one point, but then took a powder so we will have to see with her) the twins Dante and Tomasso have been hanging around. And do you remember Stephano Notte? Vincent’s mortal vice-president who was attacked in A Bite To Remember? He came around once or twice, but he’s kind of in this sulky, whiney, “I never wanted to be a vampire phase” and I found him totally irritating and sent him away until he deals with it and stops crying about what was taken from him and realizes what he’s gained. I know it’s really all about control issues. The choice was taken away and blah, blah, blah but gees, get over it. You’re alive. I don’t know. I think he needs some gal to come kick his butt, but frankly, I’m not in the mood to deal with him at the moment.
Oh, gees, sorry, must be way late now (hmm, it's after 4 A.M. here though this will post three years earlier cause Bravenet is on the other end of the country) and I’m RAMBLING again, lol.

Anyway, there will be at least four more after this.

Lynsay, off to bed

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Yes! I was hoping we would see Decker...he has to be the older brother of Aunt Martine's girls. I always look carefully at the "family tree" in the front of the books. It's always an extra when we get to know something ahead of time. Thanks Did Aunt Martine's older three sons die in battle with their father? Or is that still a secret?

Lynsay, every time you write a new Argeneau book, an interesting character pops up. If Avon is smart, they will publish books for every one that speaks to you, because we readers are not going away! You may have to knock some sense into Stephano...people don't want to have chronic illnesses, but they deal with it. And now he won't ever have to have an illness. Besides, Vincent could have just let him die! Apparently, he doesn't understand the sacrifice Vincent made for him. He just better get out of his whiny stage and get over it, because he and his brother have some great lifemates out there waiting, and if he keeps on pouting he might miss out on his.

Trust me, four more books will not be enough! Not even 44 unless you get tired of writing them. But with historicals and Scottish medievals in between...I'll be set for reading for a long time, and so will my sister Sherri, and Terri is starting on your historicals, and my niece Heather began A Quick Bite last night, and my mother's an avid reader(which is where we all get it from) and my niece Kelsey has already read Vincent's story...We have to buy more than one set of books just in my family alone!

Here is hoping for Christian's book soon! He and those other Nottes caught my eye in Vincent's book.(which is hard to do with Vincent around...he is one of my top two Argeneaus)

wren

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Yay! Christian+Fiddle=love! I totally agree with Wren. I'm also hoping we'll see more of Armand too. Poor guy. This series could probably go on forever and I'd still read and re-read it.

Re: Vampire Ages...?

OHH, LYNSAY,

Thanks so much for the heads up. I was starting to get worried that you might have been done with the Argenaeus for awhile, since you mentioned you were going to start the enforcers.
I am so excited....and who knows...once Stephano gets over his "I am too good to be a Vampire" phase, maybe he could meet ELSPETH or even he and his brother might meet the TWINS (Julie and Vicki)--> They should be comming around in age soon right???
****OK,YOU CAUGHT ME,I AM SNOOPING FOR EVEN MORE INFO, ******
It is never enough!! I just love thisa family.

Also Lynsay, little side note, everyone I know whose had upgraded to VISTA like it for about a day, and then the problems start. Almost all of them go back.

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Lynsay

Now you know we are faithful to you! Love to read as many as you can possibly give us. Would love to read about all of the people we have met or heard about. It would be interesting to see if the imagination is the same as what you write. Hope to read several Argeneaus and Enforcer books. Your writing makes everyone come to life as I read.

Will you be putting a family tree in the Enforcer series also?

Thanks again

Cindy (who is frozen in Georgia SmileyCentral.com)

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Cindy, I'm in Mississippi, too.

This is supposed to be the "Deep South." It is time for Mardi Gras and the parade is on Feb. 2nd...we will freeze! I'm ready for & already!

wren...who is not a winter person

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Lynsay, as far as I'm concerned you can do as many early morning ramblings as you'd like! You make more sense at that time than some people I know who are wide awake.

As long as people are asking questions .... are there any Spanish (from Spain!)male vampires who are whispering to you? I sort of have a thing for gorgeous Spanish baritones.

Re: Vampire Ages...?

I'll buy as many as you write. Yours are one of the few I buy new from the store. Most others are UBS because I can't afford to buy everything new.

I'm really interested in the Europeans, too. But I look forward to seeing some more of the Argeneau ladies.

Re: Vampire Ages...?

I hope you come out with a slew of more books, I love when I get to read about good vampires... Maybe you could even do like additional books for the ones who have already found lifemates, like maybe have them go thru being pregant.. haha... Oh yea how does that work? It was never explained in the books.

Brittany

Re: Vampire Ages...?

I Kind of there with Brittney about bring them together on whats going on in there life. An up to date kind of recap with there life mates/ family in the planing sort of thing, or get together for something.

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Brittany, you bring up a good point! about the pregnancy!

Lynsay,
If the nanos look at everything that invades the body (sun, sickness, etc.) as a problem they have to fix...how do pregnancy's work? That could be a really funny book...I can see it now, constatntly thirsty, vampire mood swings. OH THAT WOULD BE FUNNY!!

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Ohhhhhhhhhhh Lynsay you made my day....
4 more! SmileyCentral.com
SmileyCentral.com
Awesome!!

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Lynsay...

All I have to say is that if you keep on writing, I'll keep on buying and reading your books. I truly enjoy them.

*hugs*

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Okay, I explained about the problemn with getting the dates in another post. One I answered to day. I'll get that info as soon as I can.

As for babies, the nanos don't attack the babies, but the gals do need more blood and do have strange cravings. Can you see blood mixed with marachino cherry juice and poured over rocky road ice cream? EWWWWW.

The babies are born with the nanos in their system, fighting disease and ailments from conception. Aging itself isn't seen as something that needs repairing until the age when it begins to cause wrinkles and wear and tear on the organs. But the nanos stay alive because they are fighting environmental damage. Live close to electrical wires? Radioactive crap in your ground or water? Added hormones in your meat or dairy products? Pollution in your air? They fight that and remain alive until 25 or 30 when age becomes a factor and then they are busy busy.

Hope that answers the questions

Lynsay, back to work now

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Since we're on the topic or pregnancy and what not, I vaguely remember it being mentioned that the chances of an immortal impregnanting a mortal are very slim (SVW). But Armand has two children with a mortal. I was just wondering if he's just totally awesome in that department and does the fact that the mortal mothers are having immortal cause their bodies so much stress they can't survive through the birth? And are immortal genes always the more dominant ones?

I think...I might be putting too much thought into this. :)

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Thanks LYNSAY.....
I really need to stop thinking and start accepting.
It is fun though to come up with things to ask, I hope you don't mind.

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Yea, I think you right about mortals birthing immortals, I don't have the books in front of me....."please correct me if I am wrong"
but wasn't it LUCIEN who was boasting that he got his lifemate pregnant on the first go!! which is almost impossible they said.

G.

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Yup it was Lucian. I love him, he's like a big teddy bear after he meets Leigh.

lucian and leigh

by far my favorite of the argeanus, sorry lynsay, i love them all, and have read all but the 2 htat havent yet come out but so far lucian and leigh are my favorite couple, who else but saucy little leigh can turn a bad ass lucian (the big bad boogie on the councle that does all the dirty work) into a bashful-loving- concerned and wonderful nympho!

Re: Vampire Ages...?

hey Lynsay or mr.spice maybe u could do a side story about Lissianna's pregnecy and also what is up with Leigh and her pregnacy in my opion think they shuld have a boy becuse Lucian had 2 girls with his first lifemate what wear thare names again? i know the mom's name was Luna just wondering and also am very borad all my friends are away for the week oof school and i am stuck at home also any other babies coming

Re: Vampire Ages...?

puppylover.....
I kind of think Lucien should have another girl...it will be so funny to see him try to go all protective on a little girl who will have him wrapped around her little finger. (I am speaking from expirence, my hubby and my lil'girl, she runs all of us)

G3

Re: Vampire Ages...?

How about twins?? A boy and girl. That would be interesting.

C1

Re: Vampire Ages...?

I think that Lucian and Leigh should have a baby girl too. It might sooth some of that millenium-old pain from losing his own daughters although I'm sure Leigh has soothed most of it.

Re: Vampire Ages...?

i still think Lucian shuld have a boy he needs a man to carry on the family name. i think Victor should have twins one for his baby with elvi the other for the one he lost. i think thomas needs to have a girl who well wrap him arund her finger also quick Q do u have to wait 2 hunderd years if u have twins or the amout of maltupils u have like 3 hunderd for triplets 4 hunderd for quads stuff like that?

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Lynsay before u said something about B-days for the Imortals (Argeneaus,Nottes and others) Just wondering do any of them happen in augest or june it would be funny if one of then was october 31st so can u or MR.spice put up the B-days of all the Imortals if u can PLZ do so and Thank u

Re: Vampire Ages...?

OK...here's the thing....Lucien should have agirl at first, I am standign by that. But remember they live a long time, He ill have plenty of time for his boys, and carryig the family name.

C1 as for twins....I would love to see Bastien try to keep his work aholic and extremely organized life with a set oftwins, or even the first ever...ARGENAEU SET OF SmileyCentral.com

Hey Wouldn't it be funny if it was Marguerite, after all this time, she finally gets her true-lifemate, and even though all her kids are grown..she fins herself with triplets!!

****HEY LYNSAY....are we going to have the first ever set of multiples in the Argenaeu family? (more than twins, I should make clear....) With all these men and women finding their lifemates (and babies being born ) Someone is bound to have some luck in that department.

G3 of AE3

Re: Vampire Ages...?

G3 do not forget about all of the immortals in Port Henry. Besides Victor we have 4 others. D.J., Vladimir Drake, Harpernus Stoyan, Edward Kenric, Alessandro Cipriano.

These would also be interesting stories. They all know or work for/with the Argeneau family.

C1

Re: Vampire Ages...?

cindy, Vladimir Drake was a goth wannabe plus with the baby boy thing with Lucian the last baby to be born was a girl so a boy is needed i think thou if it was a girl it shuld be named Luna after Lucian's first lifemate or after one of his girls
i also think maybe he shuld have Triplets since he lost two of his babies he shuld get them back he shuld have 2 girls and 1 boy in my opinon.

Re: Vampire Ages...?

i think they shuld buy an ultrasound machine so they can know how many and the sex of the babies it would be alot easy for them to make the nursery and it's not like the couldn't offerd it (kaela who is getting to into this)

Re: Vampire Ages...?

PuppyLover

Jason Lerner was the mortal. In AV page 35. "The last has arrived. He is not one of us."He was the wannabe.

Edward 1004, Harper 1282, Alessandro 1794, and of course Victor 230 B.C. (page 132)

Re: Vampire Ages...?

cindy Vlad was a wannabe jason was physco hunter/killer

Re: Vampire Ages...?

read PG 27-35 of AV it explains it all that Vlad is the wannabe and jason is the hunter/phyco killer

Re: Vampire Ages...?

C1 - I was also thinking about the other immortals in Port Henry too . They would have some fun stories.

J4-Great Minds think alike

Re: Vampire Ages...?

C1 who could forget about VICTOR!!!

Pupplover, Jill....
I was also thinking about the Port Henery group. There are so many, they could be a whole other line of books themselves..."that tie in with the Argenaeus of course" because of VICTOR AND ELVI.

BTW....What about the police chief (his name alludes me at the moment) but I think he should himself a lady vamp!!!that way he can stay around.

G3

Re: Vampire Ages...?

G3
Teddy like bear

C1

Re: Vampire Ages...?

Yeah, Teddy needs someone because he wasn't able to have Elvi.

Re: Vampire Ages...?

thank you...

Re: Vampire Ages...?

hey Lynsay can u plz read my first part on this thred and see if u can answer the Q and also not sure if i'm rigt but in TAV Vlad was a wannabe an djason was a hunter can u tell me if i'm right thare has been a bit of fighting on the subject between me and cindy on who Vlad is

Re: Vampire Ages...?

forget to put this on the other one but can u also PLZ if u can without it being to much truble for u put up all the imortals B-bays like the Nottes Argeneaus enfourcers lifemates and such

Re: Vampire Ages...?

PuppyLover... a bit of fighting? tsk..tsk.. That's not like you!

Vlad was the goth who got shown the real set of fangs after he was put at the table with Victor & DJ, then he left.

Jason was the hunter that they had to do a 3-on-1 on his mind to erase his memories. I think he came in last, and they did realize right away that he wasn't an immortal.

Just ask Cindy next time to look in the book with you so you will both be sure.

She's my older AE4 sis...C1...but she is easy to get along with. Sometimes when we all get to posting, it's a little hard to get heard!
