I was wondering if you've thought about having a MySpace page? As a fellow writer, I'd definitely recommend it! They're great for networking and promoting!
Oh, btw, I've got your new book and can't wait to read it! Have I told you that I soooooo love that cover?! LOL!
What about a facebook page? I don't have a myspace page, but I do have a facebook. I think it would be a great idea too and I think facebook is better than myspace.
Just putting in my 2 cents worth
Personally not a fan of MySpace. Also never heard of facebook until here. I use frapper with my other groups. I like the map it has so everyone can put where in the country they live. Also on it I have a countdown to Vampires Are Forever. Too many of my friends have gotten burned my MySpace. Also the schools have banned it in this area. Also so have a lot of companies. It makes the news regularly, and not favorably either.
I think facebook use to be just for college and high students, but I think now it's open for everyone. It's like a myspace, but better. I just like facebook more because I think it's less creepy than myspace and not everyone can see your profile. Also, there are MUCH more things to do on facebook than myspace and it's more elaborate. I never got a myspace because everyone has one.
Not not everyone on myspace can view your profile, there are permission requirements if you elect to use them. Some people just rush through setting up their profile and elect not to include them as private.
As with most information you have a choice of what you want or don't want people to see. I feel it's those that don't care what people know about them that elect to keep their profiles open for people to know their life history, etc. Sometimes inviting trouble with it.
My profile is kept private on myspace and only allow people I know access, like close friends and family. Not allowed to view my profile unless you request permission and I give it to you. Some thing you must remember, no matter what you do on the internet - nothing is private.
My profile is kept private on myspace as well. I never realy liked it, but we will be moving out of state, so I started a myspace so that family can see pictures and up-to-date....
It's cool that she has a myspace page... I'll join of course... I use mine mainly to keep in touch with friends and family and for friends I've made over the years from some of the other websites I belong to...
I am a college student, and I am sorry to say I dislike Facebook. I don't know why. I like Myspace though and you can choose whether or not you wish people who you want not consented to view your page. Is anyone on here on Mrs. Spice's friends list? I wanted to add her but I wasn't sure if I would be accepted just because I'm on her forum doesn't mean she knows me, which I understand.
Stauri - I've just had a look at the MySpace page and you're there.
Lynsay does have a Facebook page, too, but doesn't update it very often. By the time she's got through the pokes, plants and many thousands of other time consuming applications she tends to get a little frustrated and so it's pretty much fallen by the wayside.
No problem Gena. That is where I go to read about Lynsay's happenings. Tried to sign up on her mySpace different times. No luck. Guess it knows I am not a fan. And they say computers have no brains. hahaha. But the samething is posted on both so I do not feel left out.
I have a live.com space and like it so much better, even though I have a myspace. I post my pictures and what few comments that I have on the live.com space.(the essay queen hasn't figured out blogging yet! )
I originally got it because of reading Lynsay's and spice-the-cat's blogs, and it has where you can make comments...but you have to be able to sign in. I like it a lot, and it seems like you can do more with it than myspace. I haven't been on any others mentioned...except to go to a friend's site on frapper.
I only have myspace for a few friends that I keep in touch with, and because Gypsy and I keep an eye on our young niece at her mother's request...even though her myspace it set to private..it is best to be careful. Otherwise, I would close my account...
I tried out the myspace and didn't really like it myself, I do like the facebook and alot of people I know are on there so it is better for me. I don't really enjoy all the requests that you get on the facebook but they do have some really cool applications.
All I've got is a Blogspot.com blog. And it's not available for commenting since I don't want to have to police it. I guess I could open it up to family to post comments. I use it mainly for family far away to see what we're up to.
Yeah I know you can private your myspace page, but I just don't like myspace as much as facebook. I like facebook more because you can do more on it and I feel as if you have more control over it then myspace ( i don't know if that makes sense). anyways, I guess it doesn't matter if she has a myspace and facebook.
I like it okay. The color is just in keeping with the last three and the underlying colors there (blue, gold/yellow, silver/grey). Wondering what color will be next... green, purple...?
