Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

Not 'til Christmas, but 'til the release of The Accidental Vampire. Amazon and B&N have it down for Dec. 26th. I've never looked forward to the day AFTER Christmas quite so much. It will be a late present to myself. Then Jan. 29th and Feb. 26th, YEA!

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

I know I am. Just got my other 6 books back from a friend. Now I can re-read them close to the release of The Accidental Vampire. That way it will be a continuous reading. I just don't know if I can wait. The one in February will be a late Birthday gift for myself. But I'm worth it.

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

I'll buy them as they are released but I won't read them until March, when I have #9 in my hand so that I can read them all in a row.

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

I will buy them as they come out but unlike Denise I have no self control and will read them too fast and be waiting again on the edge of my seat.

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

I know this is really mean but...

I've already read them...

Mr Spice exits, stage left, with the sound of his own manic laughter echoing thro' the house as he heads off to clear the snow from the drive.

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

I agree with Terrie. I have a friend who already has the next 3 on order at Borders.

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

That's just what I PLAN to do. I have many other books in my pile that I SHOULD read first. I'd like to wait and hope to so I can get the three-punch thrill. But I'm not sure I'm determined enough to hold out. I suspect that I'll be reading each Argeneau book within a week of buying it.

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

Oh that is so MEAN Mr. Spice. I can't wait to read the books either. And I will probably be reading them coming out of the book store, bumping into people...lol. No self control at all, ah well.
At least it is less than a month now, 23 days to be exact.

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

Did someone say garlic?

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

Garlic? Sure, as in, we're going to pelt you with it for being so nasty and rubbing it in that you get to read them so far in advance!

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

Mr. Spice
I just love the large clove of Garlic on Lynsay's Blog.
Very intriguing. Now it is more certain that I can not wait for the book.

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

It's there to ward off any accidental vampires who may be passing by.

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

Mmmm, I just love garlic. Sauteed with butter, mushrooms, & onions. Cooked in spaghetti sauce or in Mexican food. Staring at a garlic-shaped stress ball taunting me while I wait for my next book! Uh, maybe not that last one.

Thankfully, garlic doesn't ward off Argeneau immortals or their fans!

But, I think our dear sly Mr. Spice likes to tease us

It's close to Christmas, our lucky proof-reader! Cloves of garlic may end up in your stocking.

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

I've read all of the books... well as I speak I'm halfway through SWV (read them out of order)... in a months time.

Its going to kill me waiting for the next book.

Once I get into something... I'm ravenous akin to a starved vampire. As soon as I finish with one, I ABSOLUTELY have to get the next RIGHT THEN.

I can't pace myself AT ALL... lol

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

13 days and counting....

Re: Anyone else counting down the days? 26 days

We've just received the first fully finished retail copy of The Accidental Vampire in the mail this morning. This is usually a sign that the books have gone out to the distributors and are heading toward the shops.
I'm not sure if all of the stores will have them for the 26th or exactly how the internet retailers will mail them out over the holiday period but we're keeping our fingers crossed that everything is on time.
