Book contest

Just took a moment out from writing to mention that there is a contest at Darquereviews for the set of the next three books coming out, plus some promo goodies. I haven't a clue what they are, nobody tells me nothin' (grin) The contest is at http://darquereviews.blogspot.com/2007/11/lynsay-sands-book-giveaway.html

We'll be holding a contest ourselves for another set. It will be in the next newsletter which comes out sometime this week, but the more contests you enter the better your chances right? LOL.

Anyway, I gave an interview at Darquereviews and they reviewed all three books there, so hop on over and give it a gander and enter the contest. I'd love for one of you guys to win.

By the way, Terri has been busy with taxes and I have been on this historical, so Dave did the crossword this time and he helped Emma -- our cat, who graciously offered to step in and write the life with Lynsay bit this time -- type. What a little princess she is!!

Anyway, I should get back to work. Hello to everyone and good luck though.

Lynsay

Re: Book contest

Emma did all the work, my job was just picking the hairballs out of the keyboard.

Re: Book contest

Hey Lynsay,

Have you already named Lucian's and Leigh's baby, or will you have another baby-naming contest? Since I'm not sure how far in time these next books go, I didn't know if it was a possibility. And, no, I'm not fishing for the plot or timeline (well, no more than usual ) I just missed out on the "Name Lissianna's baby contest" because it took place before I had joined the forum.

Also, do we have hints on book ten? Dave already teased a little about the actor for Mortimer on the other thread, but is it his story?

Also, how far are you into writing the three sisters' Scottish historicals? Poor Lynsay, all her fans just nag, nag, nag at times, don't we? You know it's cause we love you and can barely wait to get our hands on your books!

Well, I'm off to check out that other contest. A Big Thank-You to Dave & Emma for working on the newsletter for us. Susie, our kitty that looks like a miniture black panther and often has the personality of one, sends her greetings to dear Emma. I haven't made her aware that she goes to the kennel next week to be cared for while we are in Florida, because I don't want to ruin her holiday mood! Ahhh, the joy of cats who allow us to be part of their lives

Re: Book contest

Well, Lynsay, if I had gone and read your interview first, I would have had some of my questions answered!

So, now I know book ten is about Mortimer, and I know you are in the middle of writing the Scottish Medievals. I just don't know how you do it all!

I'm entered in the contest, so that is nice!
Your interview is great, and your picture is lovely.
It was really interesting to learn about your grade-school teacher allowing you to be creative and encouraging you and your mother. Before my children were born I taught public school.(elementary...grades 1st, 2nd, 5th, & 6th) My favorite subjects to teach are creative writing, literature, and history. There is so much you can do in those classes.

We have been homeschooling for nine years. It is great! At least, most of the time. LOL My son loves books and the idea of writing or working in publishing. I'm going to try your teacher's approach with both of my boys with the story writing from week to week.

This teacher had better get busy with her own work now! Lunch is over, and there is basketball practice later this afternoon.

Bye, y'all! wren

Re: Book contest

Hi Lynsay,

Just entered the contest. Awesome interview. This could
very interesting if one from the forum wins. Thanks for the heads up about the contest. Great job on all of your books. Love them. Can't wait for the next ones. But I know I have to. My furbaby is helping me type this. And she loves your books also.

Re: Book contest

Just entered the contest. And my furball is a dog who is probably warmer outside in her snug little house than I am sitting here at the PC with freezing feet!
