Question About Thomas

I kind of felt bad for Thomas in the exert. Like, it really bothers me how he thinks that Bastien and Lucern would be just like Jean Claude, like they don't love or care about him--which is the vibe I kind of got in A Quick Bite--and OMG it bothers me ;_;

It also bothers me that Bastien didn't take off for a couple weeks to spend with Terri, I mean WTH Bastien, being a work-a-holic isn't good *grumble grumble*

What I want to know/see is Thomas' relationship with Lucern, Bastien and Etienne, if it changes or evolves.

I also want to see more of Lucern and Kate and Bastien and Terri, I know they live in NYC, but crippies vampires, go see your family >_<

Is it time for the books yet? I dont think I can wait. =(

Re: Question About Thomas

I'm having withdrawals waiting for the next one. I read all six in a row and it really messed me up for waiting.

Re: Question About Thomas

You get so much of an awesome Lynsay high that when there's nothing else to read you get sad. D=. It's like when the vampires don't drink blood for lack of a better example. Lynsay is a life source!

Re: Question About Thomas

Well, I've solved my problem, for a few days at least. I finally got copies of all the anthologies and have started on them this evening. May not be much of a Sands fix but at least it's something.

Re: Question About Thomas

I know right? I am sooooooo hankering for a Lynsay book lol!!!

Re: Question About Thomas

Never fear Ashley, the boys will work themselves out. They just don't communicate as well as us women.

As for Bastien, maybe I'll teach him that workaholism isn't good in someone else's story. Right after I learn that myself (grin)

Everyone makes an appearance in Thomas's and Marguerite's story. You'll get a chance to see them together.

Denise, it's readers like you that keep me on my toes, lol. I am forever fretting over trying to keep each book different in pacing and character traits so that people don't read them one after another and toss them aside saying "Same book, different names" which I heard referred to another writer's books. That's why one will be lighter, another darker, one has more action, another more romance and so on. Thank you for telling me you're hankering for more, means all that fretting and fiddling was worth it. hope you enjoy the anthos

Lindsay and Sin, I'm writing as fast as I can!! I swear, lol.

Re: Question About Thomas

I loved the anthologies. But they didn't take long to finish and now I have the same problem, waiting for January to roll around. And you've done a great job keeping them different enough to not feel like the same thing over and over. I feel a re-read coming on!!!

Re: Question About Thomas

Lynsay,

Never fear! All of your books are different. You have created a special world of vampires, but not one where they all have to live exactly "alike." Also, the conflict and life-mate storylines in each is unique to each character, making the love stories even more special. On the thread where we are having fun picking out actors for your characters, what makes it more of a challenge is that they are all so different. I think most of us adore Thomas, but otherwise Bastien & Vincent are my absolute favorites, and although close in age, they are almost opposites in personality.

What makes your vampires believable is that the parameters of their world is set for us. We know how they became vampires, what abilities they really have, what their laws are, ect., and other than that they are just normal people. The stories are also true romances that have a paranormal element. What they are not is just paranormal erotica filled with unnecessary profanity, which seems to be becoming a bit of a trend with some of the paranormal books, nor are they paranormal romances that have become like a formula plotline over time. There are a few authors that I have lost interest in reading.

When I read your books, it is fun. I feel happy and I anticipate the next book. In the meantime, I reread when I'm in the mood to laugh and refresh my memory while waiting for the next books. I'm glad you write with a light, humorous twist in all of your books, including your historicals. If I had laughed any harder while reading THE BRAT, I would probably have been locked away until I could breathe again and the tears of laughter stopped rolling down my face. Hmm, I think it is time for a reread of that book. By the way, I don't usually do rereads. I usually donate books to my local library, except for my three keeper authors.

I hope we get to see a little of Bastien/Terri's and others' weddings, or a big reception for those lifemates who have been brought together in recent books sometime in the future. Or, perhaps you have already worked some of that in the upcoming releases.

Reading is my very favorite form of entertainment. Lynsay, you have a true gift for writing, and I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into bringing a book from a story idea to the finished work, and working so hard to keep it fresh and funny. I also appreciate the work you, Mr. Spice, and Terri put into having the website, forum, blogs, and now the fun newsletters for your fans.

Well, 'nuff said. Lynsay books are the best! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Renee

Re: Question About Thomas

I also enjoy the variety in your stories Lynsay. Each relationship is different as are the characters. Your humor and situation telling are great laugh makers.
I also hope to see more wedding and/or reception events for the recent couples that have gotten together.
I haven't read the anthropolgies, but it sounds like I should from what your other fans have written.
Have a great day!

Glad to see it wasn't just me noticing that. I get rid of those books really fast and the author is taken off my To Buy list. Can't figure out why the authors seem to think we don't want a story and substitute sex and language in its place. Like we don't get enough unwanted foul language in our normal life, we have to have it in our books too? Bleh!!

Thanks so much to Lynsay for being a terrific author all around!

Re: Question About Thomas

Denise, I also get rid of those books and take those authors off my to buy list. What is sad is that some series seem to have a promising start, and then it is like "Oh, since it's paranormal, all the vampires (or shapeshifters, etc.) shouldn't have a sentence with fewer than three major profane words, and while finding their true love, they might as well have graphic sexual scenes, too." I don't even bother to donate these to the library...I just get rid of them.

I'm glad someone else has noticed this, too. Now I know I'm not just being a prude about it.

Re: Question About Thomas

Thanks Lynsay ;) I'm glad to know they'll eventually work themselves out.

I hope Bastien does learn work-a-holic-ism isn't good ;) but I'm sure his wife keeps him on his toes

Loving the new book

Thanks for being an amazing author

Love, Ashley
