Films For Vampire Fans

Just to let you all know that there are going to be quite a few Vampire films out next year including one called 'Dracula Year Zero' which sounds interesting, althought they are just going to be all blood and guts Im sure.

Wish Lynsays books were turned into films how great would that be!!

Toodle Pip for now! xx

Re: Films For Vampire Fans

I hope it isn't as band as Dracula 2000!

Did anyone like the "Blade" trilogy?

It would be pretty cool to see Mrs. Sands novels turned into movies but they'd probably ruin everything! I'm not a die hard Harry Potter fan but I have read the books (buying the nice hardcovers for my 3 nieces just incase they because a book worm like their ol' Auntie Kelli) and the movies...well they are cute and obviously a lot of work went into them but the last one I watched on ABC Family (the 3rd? Prisoner of Azkaban?sorry sorry!!) it felt empty and like stuff was missing. But that's me ol Ramblin' Kelli lol.

Holy Crap!
I do not know where my head is today, I apologize if you read my previous post and half of it doesn't make sense. I should have did looksie before posting but oh no.....No.

Re: Films For Vampire Fans

Heh i leave rambled messages all the time so dont worry!

I agree with you that maybe making films of books ruins them, but still it might be cool!

And I agree with you about the Prisoner of Azkhaban (is that how you spell it?)

LOL xxx

Re: Films For Vampire Fans

lol. Then don't watch the forth Harry potter movie then. Unless you have never read the book....then it is ok. I was so mad when I went to watch it, they cut out huge parts, like you know they would, but the parts they did have in it were done wrong.

I really, really hope that #5 that is comming out tomorrow is alot better (which I got tickets for and going to see, CANNOT WAIT!!!)

Hope all is good in everyone elses world!

Re: Films For Vampire Fans

I do know one part that has been left out of the movie. The whole subplot with Ron Weasley becoming the Quiddich King. I read an interview with the new director and he mentions how difficult it is to decide what to keep and what to leave out. I can see why the stuff involving Quiddich can be considered non-essential but in the book it is used to develop the character of Ron, and how he struggles to have an identity outside of his family and his role of Harry's best friend. Only a short time now until the last book comes out too. Time to start rereading the last few books. Speaking of rereading books and since this is a Lynsay Sands forum... . I just reread Love Is Blind and it was just as good as the first time I read it. I just bought my own copy at Walgreens of all places. They had a table set up with discounted books. I picked up a Nora Roberts duo (The Winning Hand, The Perfect Neighbor) and Lynsay's book at the price of 2 for $6. Nice bargain, huh? They had some other books in Hardcover but I didn't have a chance to look through them or see the price on those.

Getting back on subject , there seems to be quite a supernatural trend beginning both on the big and small screen. Time-traveling (Journeyman), immortality (New Amsterdam), and vampires (Moonlight) are all the subjects of new fall shows. Thank goodness they invented DVRs or I'd never be able to watch all of the new shows plus my old favorites (Heroes, Bones, House, Numb3rs, etc). Does anyone here watch Psych on USA? Their new season begins this Friday!

Re: Films For Vampire Fans

Yes we watch Psych . New Amsterdam seems to be interesting ..Moonlight seems interesting...I'm anxious to see where they get their blood. I have always liked the Lynsays Vamps get their blood.. Have you watched Burnout yet..I'm still trying to decide if I like it our not.

Re: Films For Vampire Fans

If I hadn't just saw a preview for Burnout after watching a Psych rerun I wouldn't have known what show you were talking about! It didn't really hook me, but it's late and I'm tired so maybe another time it would appeal to me more. I watched some of the Harry Potter movie premiere earlier tonight. I can't wait to see that, they showed a new clip at the end. Not too shabby. They also mentioned during the show that CBS had ordered new episodes of Jericho after a viewer campaign to keep it on the air. I never saw it but it's nice to know that the public has some sway over things like this. I believe they said that Touched by an Angel and Cagney and Lacey (and one other) are other shows on CBS that were once canceled and then reinstated.

*yawn* Time to go to bed.
